The attendants were slow to replenish the paint and acted like it was an inconvenience, even though they were getting a "mandatory gratuity". They could have been nicer and more friendly. One of the colors they "replenished" was not the same color as we got at the beginning even though we asked for the same color # and the attendant even checked the # to make sure, and one of the kids ending up having two different colors of paint in one section of her ceramic piece that she was really disappointed about. When we asked the attendant how we could fix it, she said she didn't know and literally walked away mid-conversation to help someone else. She clearly did not care about our party once we sat down. My bill was almost $300 and the mandatory gratuity was $49.32 which was absolutely not worth the service we got. I doubt we would come back to your store since we never had this issue at Color Me Mine.

My first tufting experience was at Softland Studio in January 2026, and it couldn't have been a better introduction to the craft. The website is user-friendly, informative, and makes booking simple. You pay a deposit when reserving your spot and the remaining balance when you complete your project. Prices are reasonable for what is offered and you take your rug home the same day. I chose the large rug and submitted my design. As a complete beginner, I needed constant reminders throughout the tufting process. Fifi, the owner, and her assistant were incredibly patient, attentive, and encouraging. They gave clear instructions, answered every question, and never made me feel like I was asking too much. Their kindness and enthusiasm made me feel comfortable from start to finish. The studio has a relaxed, welcoming atmosphere. Colorful yarn spools line the walls, the space is bright and comfortable, and you're free to take breaks whenever you need. The class runs from 1:00 p.m. to 6:00 p.m., which is plenty of time to complete your rug. One thoughtful feature that really enhanced the experience was the counterweighted tufting guns. The guns are suspended from ceiling-mounted cords that support much of the weight, making them easier to maneuver and helping prevent arm and shoulder fatigue. It may seem like a small detail, but it made a noticeable difference, especially for a beginner. The hours flew by because tufting is both relaxing and fun. Best of all, your rug is professionally shaved and glued before you take it home. Tufting takes place in the back of the studio while several other workshops are happening in the front. It's impressive to watch Fifi and her assistant manage everything so seamlessly. They somehow gave every student the attention they needed while keeping all the workshops running smoothly. Their energy, organization, and multitasking skills are truly remarkable. They are truly the Queens of multitasking! Softland Studio also offers candle making, stained glass, jewelry making, personalized patches, and Decoden art, so there's always something new to try. I will definitely be returning, whether it's for another tufting session or one of their other creative workshops. Based on my experience, I know I'll be in good hands. Parking is plentiful and conveniently located right outside the studio. If you're thinking about trying tufting--or any of the creative workshops at Softland Studio--I highly recommend it. This was for a public class on a Saturday at around 4:30 PM. The class consisted of 8 people max and seemed to be all couples. All of the equipment was prepared like an apron, clay, pottery wheel, etc. We had an instructor that was very knowledgeable and explained everything from start to finish. Complex technicals were explained in layman's terms. We were given enough clay to create 3 pieces but could keep up to two. The instructor also frequently went around to check everyone's pieces and was able to troubleshoot as needed. It was a fun experience but be very prepared to get your hands dirty! The glazing portion was separate from the class. There was no reservation needed for that so I did it the same day that I went to see the ceramics. For parking, street parking could be hit or miss depending on the time. I'd recommend coming early to have ample time to find parking. Overall, I enjoyed the experience enough. It could have been perfect if the staff here remembered to follow up on when the ceramics were ready for pickup. I am happy with the end result though.

I would highly recommend Melissa in any corporate event. Melissa and I had a few calls and traded a number of emails about this event. While she was responsive to my questions, she was also able to run with the event without much guidance. The day of the event, Melissa arrived on time (early) to set up, taking care to protect the tables with disposable tablecloths. She set out all the materials (including decorative rocks and pretty colored moss) and guided participants through the workshop. She was happy to answer any questions. Afterwards, she cleaned up quickly and thoroughly. My colleagues thought the event was relaxing; it was a nice team building and we created something pretty for our office. It can be stressful working with Type A people (me) and in company events, and I was blown away by Melissa's dedication. We would be happy to work with Melissa again.

We had our daughter's 6th birthday party here. The owner was super responsive to all my questions…read more I had never been, but booked it based on reviews. The reviews match the level of service! At the start of the party, there were Bluey (our birthday theme) coloring pages to entertain before painting started. I absolutely loved the fact the kids had personalized instruction, and each got to take home their Bluey painting. We continued our party outside on the patio within very close proximity. It was scorching hot for us this weekend, but the large tree provided tons of shade. We were there for hours with the place to ourselves. We had a wonderful experience with the staff and our daughter had so much fun. Highly recommend for a personalized, special and memorable experience. Thank you Palette Station.

Towards the end we figured out my ring was too big and had to remake it but it was no trouble and even though I felt a little bad about taking up more time she encouraged me to be sure I had a wearable ring. The introductory class was a wonderfully unique experience.
