It's pretty well organized. You reserve online and they put your name on a little blackboard in rows and rows of seats, very much a group class. Theres some space for glasses, not really food and cubbies to put your stuff. I'd recommend only a drink as you'd want more space for paint. Theres tvs around the middle so you can see the instructor live paint and the bar is very friendly/able to keep a tab open. They have multiple breaks where you can order drinks. You pay and reserve the class online, the drinks are not! Included but you don't need to buy drinks (added on at the bar). The only caveat is the class does seem to go quite fast, you do get time after the instruction ends to fix at your own pace and they're lovely enough to offer to take pictures. However, if you're a perfectionist you should move on to the next time steps because they will move on. Essentially you're supposed to paint WITH the instructor and not after instruction to keep up ( as paint needs to dry and stuff) It's acrylic and they provide the basic colors plus more tubes if you'd like other colors. No extra brushes, but extra paper towels offered and a big sink where they have a special scrub to get paint off your hands and you can change out the water. They also sell some instructor paintings for charity! Our instructor also does set designs for knotts scary farm so his tree was obviously amazing. Overall recommend taking a look at their site and seeing which paintings you like :) just be aware it goes fast and the instructors painting will most likely look better lol. read more

They explained the steps so well that I was amazed how great our paintings turned out to be. The studio had a great atmosphere, clean, organized, and great vibes. Who knows how many paintings I have done now. 100, perhaps. I'm still not any better but I enjoy it just as much anyways. This has just become a fun activity to do and my friends and I enjoy it A LOT!!! In fact, I have just painted twice in this last week. Last Saturday I finally talked one friend into going that has never been...she did very well, and another friend that has been once before. Our instructors for that day were Jasmine and Jeff. I've had both of these instructors many times. In fact, Jasmine already knows me really well and I have probably painted with her the most. She was very helpful to my friend who needed some extra guidance. Last night my best friend (and usual painting partner) and I came in. Our instructor for the evening was Alexi. She was great and very helpful to a large group of first time painters. I have to say that all of the instructors are very nice and encouraging. I love the vibe of this location, and I come so much that I feel right at home. Even if you can't draw, give this a chance. They really do take you through it step by step. The instructor we had explained things clearly and we were able to follow along and had time to fix things as well. 2nd time going to this location. First time I came was so much fun and the paintings my friends and I painted were all great! Really like the bar and food options while painting...and the music makes the vibe in there even better. Unfortunately, my 2nd visit was nothing like the first. This time we were instrcuted by Mae (I think that was her name) and sadly, this session was not fun whatsoever. It felt very rushed compared to the first time, abnd with very little direction or instructions from the artist. Hearing the other people in the room feeling the same frustrations did make me feel better..I knew it wasn't just me feeling that way. The whole thing was a disaster and I didn't even bother bringing the painting home. BOO. I would give it another try, because the first time was so much fun! The instructors were Jamie (left) and Liz (right). We followed Liz's instructions on how to paint a sunset, but were able to explore and branch off if we wanted. I decided to do a moon and was able to do it with no problem because of how easy the class was. Jamie helped me so much by personally checking in and giving me tips and recommendations. She taught me how to splatter paint on my canvas! She also helped me learn how to blow dry my work to speed it up or fix mistakes. She also managed the bar and served drinks to our team. Liz's teaching style was so fun and I loved how entertaining she was. We all came out with great paintings thanks to her step-by-step instructions. Went to this location in Tustin as a gift for a Mother's Day class. The team there was incredibly rude, the instructor Kristen, was annoyed at the chatter going on (mind you, it's a class that included children as young as 7, so there's bound to be chatter). Kristen did a poor job at instructing and would go too fast (again, children working on mixing, outlines and paint)... at one point we got a break, in which instructor went to cry loudly in the back... I think the girl working the snack counter was Alexis, who also seemed bothered when I went to ask to buy beverages. This is the 2nd Pinot's Palette location I have been to, my previous experience was last month for a team builder in San Diego area, that instructor said it was his first day on the job and was phenomenal. The experience was so great that I was excited to go to this location, but was very disappointed. The "mommy and me" idea was great, but needs staff with patience and pleasant attitudes. read more

My friend and I signed up for the chunky knit blanket class at Pinot's Palette and had an absolute blast! It was a sold out class and there were about 20 people in our class, all spread out and masks required (except when drinking and eating) which made us feel safe as we were knitting. Our instructor was awesome! She walked us through how to finger knit (no tools required) and she and another assistant instructor walked around helping each person if they needed it. The class was 3 hours and it honestly flew by so fast! We shared a bottle of white wine which was placed in a cooler for us so it was kept chilled while we knitted. We finished our blanket by the end and we're so happy with our finished results!! So much so that I picked up more yarn at Michael's the next day to make more for friends! The class is $65 each, which is a great price. Yarn retails for about $40 and $25 for the lesson, not a bad deal. HIGHLY recommend taking this class if you get the chance! You won't be disappointed. Pro tip: Arrive 15 minute before the class started to pick out your yarn colors, otherwise you'll be stuck with colors you might not want! read more

This particular Pinot's Palette is located at the district in Tustin. This is a really fun activity to do with friends or a date night! We decided to do a paint night for my sisters birthday and we had the best time ever! They have a cool little bar towards the back where you can order drinks and snacks! We ordered a couple glasses of wine and pizza rolls while we painted! Our painting in particular was not easy but once we finished I felt accomplished! Our instructor was so helpful and he had a great personality and very patient! I can't remember his name but possibly Jeff? Lol regardless staff was very attentive and so welcoming! I recommend going to the website to look at the calendar and availability. I am pretty sure with covid they are not taking walk ins so recommend booking ahead of time. Attended the Mother's Day event with my family and i was truly disappointed with the experience. We arrived earlier by mistake and when approached by employees they said we had a "whole 50 minutes" and that they were not even close to being set up in a bothered tone. The person who led the class was Kristen and she was incredibly rude. She was not a welcoming at all, when someone at our table tried to ask a question they were ignored. During the break the instructor started to Cry and couldn't compose herself, which carried on to this experience. The whole time Kristen seemed irritated with the class, and rarely interacted with the group .the class itself was rushed and the instructor kept a fast pace which was not fitting for kids or first timers. the rest of the staff looked unhappy and also had attitudes. At the end of the session they offered glitter, But as i approached the staff member for glitter she was irritated that we were walking up for the material they offered. We will definitely not be going back to this location, it truly ruined the experience for our family.this location needs to do better especially for family events that allow kids to attend. read more

We just had our birthday celebration spoiled and ruined. We reserved a "private event day " for my friends birthday good for six pax. We were excited and we came all the way from Temecula just to get to the event. Once we get there, the staff told us that someone else reserved a private event (It was a company party) , and for some reason our transaction went through by error in the system. We were so frustrated and the staff is trying to say that it was our fault for reserving in the wrong way in their website. They should've seen it in their system in the first place and call us in advance to prevent such troubles. They should fix their website to not allow such transactions once reserved. They issued refund but they can't replace the supposed to be a birthday moment for the celebrant and us her friends. They didn't care about all the trouble they caused us that day and they just let us go and got kicked out. It was fine up until til the end. The workers obviously didn't want to be there. That was screaming loud and clear. When we were cleaning up one worker said, "We've been working doubles; we want to get out of here." When we left I said, "thank you" in a pleasant voice and that same employee mustered out a word of thanks. I asked another employee halfway through the painting class if there was another cup to fill with water to clean my brush and the employee stared at me with the most dumb-founded look on her face. I referenced to my old cup to show how the water was getting murky. Just a straight-faced, it took 10 seconds to make sense. The teacher was pretty good. She allowed us to sneak our friend's kid in that we had to baby-sit on emergency but we couldn't refund our tickets so that was really nice. Granted it was after hours however the class went over by an hour. We were late as well with picking up the emergency baby-sitting child. We came a half hour late. One instructor came over to get us started. When our friend's child asked for help the worker said she didn't have time to answer a lot of questions right then but after she could. I see both sides of the equation here because kids weren't suppose to be there; it was more the attitude of the workers was not pleasant. The employees don't make me want to come back again. We walked down the way to RA Sushi and it was so nice to be greeted with a smiling face and eager to help feel. I would go back to this place if someone invited me, it wasn't that bad it's just the workers give their generation justification of how impersonal service is. read more
