Fun spot. Due to the race in the morning, I could not imbibe, but had fantastic bar food. I enjoyed the truffle fries side and the house salad with a piece of grilled salmon. Friday night had a grunge rock feel. You can get food to go too. Would be a fun place to bring friends next time. Really friendly hosts who get what you need fast.

Stopped here for a late lunch during the work week and was seated immediately. I had seen good reviews for the jalapeño egg rolls and the blackened salmon sandwich. Unfortunately both were underwhelming. The jalapeño cream cheese egg rolls were average and luke warm. The blackened salmon sandwich was flat and had a fishy smell. I only finished half. The fries that came with it were also undercooked and slightly warm. High/low and patio seating. Full bar. Wifi with password needed. Inattentive service. Bathroom was sort of grungy. Limited lot parking. Maybe I should have got a bar burger or it was an off day but I don't think I would go back.

House specialty burger. Cooked perfect. Toasted bun. Melty cheese goodness. Chefs kiss

Easily one of my favorite places to eat. I have yet to order one thing I don't like, or love. It's a nice cap after work, and honestly the staff are so wonderful... they are a big reason why I come back all the time. Hole in the wall vibes with big flavor.. my top picks: Any burger. Honestly here. The wagyu on Wednesday is top notch, but the olive burger and specialty burgers are delicious. In my opinion, the best in genesee county. Pretzels with house made beer cheese? Delicious. Caesar salad with their blackened salmon added? Divine! Chicken tenders, yum. The truffle fries... I could eat a bucket of these, and drink the aioli that comes with them. Personally love the jalapeño popper egg rolls, and their pulled pork nachos are my husbands favorite. Literally guys, you'll be hard pressed to find things you don't like. Romos pro tip? Ask for a spicy el pepino and they can muddle fresh jalapeño Into your drink.. it's like a spicy marg. Also, the something fruity is a bartenders concoction, but Shelly the bartender makes a mean drink!

Very good food and service. All the staff was very friendly. They sat us two n quant little corner w tables in between seats for 6. Cool for group for sure. Our burgers were cooked to perfection and the fries and loaded queso fries were damn good. I'd go back when near in a heartbeat.

Yeah, delicious and well priced burgers Check their Facebook for daily specials. Saturday they had a ground brisket burger! Quick phone order with a speedy pick up. The lady at the bar helping with to-go orders was nice and quick. They also serve shoestring fries with each burger. They have indoor seating (dark and moody inside, lol) and a smoking outdoor section.

The food is good, but this is the first time I've ever seen an automatic 18% gratuity added to a takeout order.

Great food and service. Hamburgers and loaded fries were excellent. They say I need 85 characters, so there you go.

Flint has a lot of bars- and this is one of them…read more For certain, it was a heck of a lot better back in the day when it was the Backroom. I went here all of the time as a college student when it was known as the Backroom and later I dropped in once in awhile when it was called Kelly's, until it was sold and became the Loft. Yep, it's a dive bar, always has been and always will be, but the really good old days of the dive bar experience here are sadly gone. As dive bars go, I've seen better and I've seen worse. In fact, if look up the phrase "dive bar," you will probably come across a picture of the Loft. You can't order food here, the "dance floor" is tiny, the music is sometimes good, sometimes not. Don't let me get started on the parking situation- it's terrible and you might as well make a mad dash to wherever you managed to park your car when you leave! It's actually laughable. Some of the cocktails are a bit overpriced for what you are getting (sometimes weak or improperly made), but service largely depends on if you are regular or friend of a friend. Random strangers probably tend to get the short end of the stick. I admit, I've gotten free drinks here before, but that's because the staff knows me. Rodney, the owner, is a great guy, but sometimes the bar runs out of essentials, like premium spirits and mixers. I wish the bar staff would just get it together and make certain that the bar is properly stocked to avoid having to order something alternative because they're out of the appropriate ingredients. Beer selection is just average, but they do carry Stella Artois, one of my favorites, so the Loft has that going for itself. While I don't particularly care for most of their cocktails (either too sweet or extremely tart- so much for a happy medium), the bartenders do make a good mojito and a decent old fashioned, though. My preferred cocktail is a whisky sour, which is pretty easy to make and the last few I ordered kinda sucked. They just didn't taste right, too tart. More often than not, I haven't cared for the vibe, the atmosphere, etc. There are just way too many barfly types hanging around drinking draft beer all night. Plus, I often run into an ex or two here and that's just bad mojo all around...

We just bought round after round after round. They made our car bombs out of Bushmill's whiskey which was a huge plus! I love dive bars and I wouldn't call this one a dive exactly, but the atmosphere is definitely NOT one where you want to drink expensive specialty martinis and eat tapas while toting your designer bag around. It's more like the place that gets really cozy when you go there regularly. Torn jeans, comfy white T-shirt, your busted Cons. I definitely would go do some major chugging with my Flint town crew if I was back around there.

Margaritas tasted like limeade minus the tequila. Our server Elizabeth was amazing. Upbeat personality and checking on us constantly. We were a table of 4 that were in for dinner and drinks. We were impressed that the chef came out and checked on our table to ensure the dinner met our expectations. We've not had that service ever in Fenton. After dinner, we decided to head downstairs to the outdoor patio for a few more drinks to end the evening. This is were the night turned ugly. It was almost as if we went to a totally different location. We sat for a very long time before having to ask someone who peaked their head out of a door if someone could take our order. We were told none of the drinks we had upstairs were available downstairs. We changed what we were previously drinking to continue the evening. Every round of drinks required us asking for someone passing by to assist us. Our server finally returned and said she was distracted for a bit. We had asked for additional napkins which she never returned with. After having to wait for quite a while, we still had to ask another waitress to bring our check. Keep in mind that the patio only has 5 or 6 tables that had 10% guests at best. It's difficult to understand why this premium location in Fenton has change names several times over the last few years but with this level of service we experienced I can understand why. MANAGE YOUR HELP!!!!!! They are killing your business.
