What can I say about Sohail? He is such a nice guy. He was very understanding and honest about the car we were about to buy. He was even willing to help finance whatever part we didn't have enough cash for. The car I almost bought was a 2002 Jeep Wrangler Sahara Edition. I came across the ad on Craigslist. It was such a great deal for a nice car. I scheduled an appt to test drive the car and when we did, my husband noticed the steering was off. Upon taking a closer look and requesting a copy of the carfax report, we realized it had been sold 5 other times and reported stolen. The undercarriage was spray painted black, and we noticed spacers where the shocks were plus abnormal wear on the tires. Sohail had originally purchased the car at an auction, and thought it was a good deal. But upon taking closer at the car with us, he took the jeep to his mechanic and had him do a full inspection. He ended changing part after part on the car until the mechanic told him the sub-frame of the jeep had a crack! At that point he called us, and told us the car wasn't safe to sell, he wouldn't sell a bad car to anyone, so he was going to try and get his money back for the car. We didn't get the Jeep, but he is on the look out for another one for our family. I completely appreciated his honesty. Any other salesman wouldn't care and would just sell the car to make money. He went out of his way and found the root of the problem. The car came from Colorado, and probably had been in an accident. Either way, Sohail was honest enough to let us know. So, I was told by my friends that there is dealer in Fremont who can give you good price and almost brand new cars. It sounded to good to be true. Sohail, a dealer/broker listed a 2010 MITSUBISHI LANCER on craigslist under "by owner, not by dealer". That was the first clue they were not honest. The ad listed the car as having "Only 30,000 miles" and "Perfect inside and out". Upon inspection the car had some fairly large scratches in many spots and smelled of smoke (and reeked of Ozium to try to cover it up). I still thought we would buy it after negotiating a lower price due to the condition and after listening to the usual dealer BS about how he will loose money by selling it so low yada, yada, yada. During the final sales paperwork it was discovered they had misrepresented the mileage which was actually 23% higher at 36,900. That is flat out fraudulent. Needless to say we walked out because what else could they be deceiving us on after two strikes? I printed out the fraudulent craigslist ad and will be filling a complaint with the DMV. This is the kind of broker that gives everyone a bad name. read more

He was very condescending to me throughout our interaction, on the test drive and when I confronted him about the status of the car after running a history report on it. The owner Sohail is a nice guy. The truck he sold me was in pretty good condition overall and I was able to save it. I have to knock off some stars though, missing keys with the car for anything that wasn't the ignition, had to cut off a hitch lock with a torch. Most seriously, cylinder #3 had badly stripped threads in the head for the spark plug. I was able to repair it but it took hours. I changed out all the fluids and fixed the rear brakes. No one would but it because the VIN# was not visible so I lost a few buyers, however, when I called Sohail to ask him if he had any idea, he had more than an idea. I bought a 2014 Honda CR-V EX-L, 25K miles, clean title, ext: white, int: beige leather, yesterday from Sohail. Here's how it went down (from Saturday 3/25 to Tuesday 3/28): +I called first to see if the car I wanted was still available and schedule a test drive on a weekend. He was accommodating to my husband's and my schedule. +(Saturday) Sohail showed me all the pages of the carfax, car was in great shape, detailed. +He let my husband and me test drive the car onto the highway and local roads, I found that the car pulled to the right. +He didn't sit with us and made sure that we weren't first-time drivers, he made a copy of my driver's license. +While we were test driving, we just parked it a block away in a Big Lots parking lot to look under the hood and try to see underneath the car to see if anything was leaking. we didn't find anything. So when we went back to him, we said that for our peace of mind, we want a mechanic to take a look. He was glad to hear that we were interested enough to take the car to the mechanic. +the mechanic found that there was oil on the transmission housing, suspecting it was a small leak somewhere that was getting all over the transmission house. luckily, this car is still under manufacturer warranty so Sohail was able to take it to the Honda dealership in Fremont and avoid a $1500 repair (Honda had to change the axel and redo the seal, this also took cared of the realignment because the suspension had to be removed). (Sundays Honda service was closed, Monday morning to Tuesday morning, the car was at the Honda service) +After the car was back from the dealership, (from the advice from the mechanic) i wanted Sohail to drive about 20 miles, then take it to the same mechanic who found the leak. Sohail willingly and gladly did it. I knew in my heart, i was unsure about this request, but Sohail was willing to do this for a customer. +Sohail knew that the car was missing the cargo cover, and ordered one for me at his cost +After my mechanic saw it and told me it's clean and no more oil anywhere. he told me to buy it. and so i did. =] Thank you so much Sohail! opinions: My husband and I felt that Sohail's approach was very welcoming, not pushy, casual and straightforward, "Do you like the car? are you satisfied? if not, let me show you another one similar..." He did not try to hide anything, he honestly did not know about the oil leaking because it's so deep in the engine, it's not an obvious find. If you weren't a mechanic, you could not see any oil "dripping" on the pavement. It's just the way oil slowly seeps out of somewhere. Sohail's attitude was great when talking to the mechanic. Sohail spoke to him politely and wanted to know more info to get things taken care of the way I wanted. He was more than happy and willing to go out of his way for me. He let me take it to the mechanic for an hour, then he took it to Honda dealer service dept, then he drove it 20 miles after that, then took it to the mechanic again, and waited for me last night when both my husband and I were off work to do the paperwork. Sohail knows customer service and you will be glad to have done business with him. side story: Sohail had his wife and kids there, his little one was drinking chocolate milk in the backseat of the car and spilled a little right before I arrived for a test drive. You may think this is a bad thing, but I was happy to see this because I have a baby who will probably be spilling chocolate milk on the leather seats. my husband and I wanted leather to wipe away any future spills. I wiped most of it off with my napkin but I needed a cloth with some cleaner to get it completely clean. I told Sohail about the chocolate milk and he was deeply apologetic and got the cleaner and cloth right away and wiped all the back seats. read more

Great dealer and a really nice caring family that owns it. Got a nice Mini Cooper S for my son. I was a little worried because the title said not actual milage. So the deal is the car was stolen and then recovered by the insurance company. It went up for auction and that's where they got it. Car was in great shape but I was still a little nervous about the thought, will this end up as a salvaged title? He assured me that it wouldn't and when the title came it was all good. I recently purchased my first car from Sohail's. I was very impressed with the excellent customer service that he offered, as we negotiated the details over the phone since I live over an hour and a half away. As is customary when buying a used car, I wanted to have it brought in to a mechanic for a complete engine check. Sohail let me choose the mechanic of my choice, and drove it there for me! This husband and wife operation is a complete scam and buyers beware. Tried to buy a car from them but he showed me a fake car report that said it was clean. I asked for copy of the report but his wife went through a elaborate effort of not printing it and finally said the printer was out of toner. He also told me how much he paid for the car and said he was only making $200 markup on me. This didn't smell right so I went home and pulled my own carfax and not only was the car salvaged but the odometer reading was incorrect. I also type the VIN number into Google and found out he bought the car at an auction and was making 2k off of me. Glad I didn't give him my money. If you want to deal with them, I would recommend you run your own report and not believe the car report they show you because they fake it. read more

While there I made a phone call to my auto insurance and found my rate would increase slightly with this car and this was on a Saturday.
