Gotta deduct another star…read more Do I still love Dr. Simionescu? I think so. I'm not really sure, as I have not seen her since March. Conversation with office person in March: Office person: Okay, so the doc needs to see you in 3 months, here is the referral for your annual brain and spine MRIs. Oh, she has Saturday hours now, would you like to schedule your follow-up at this time? Me: Saturday hours? Rock on! I would love to! So... I made the appointment for June something or other. A week before the appointment, I get a call. The doc is canceling my appointment, she won't be in, would I like to re-schedule? Sure, I say. Can I still have a Saturday? Yes, I am told, and the appointment is made. Or re-made. Today, I get a call canceling my August 31st appointment. Seems like it took the good doc this long to realize she won't be in on the 31st. Me to caller: You know, this is the second time this has happened. Why do you offer me the option of a Saturday if she doesn't want to work on a Saturday? Caller to me: These Saturday hours are new to us. New? It's been 5 months since you first offered it to me! As it stands right now, I didn't make another appointment, telling the caller that I will give it a few more months and hopefully by then, the doc will have made up her mind whether or not she wants to work on Saturday. I did not want to risk making yet another appointment only to have it canceled. I don't handle rejection very well.

I've been having some medical issues as of late and my parents suggested I get another opinion…read more They have always had really good connections as far as qualified and competent doctors, so I believe they got this recommendation from their other doctors. My appointment was with Dr. Cacciopo and from the moment I called the office to make the appt. and answer the preliminary questions, they were really friendly and nice. This treatment continued throughout the whole process. Dr. Cacciopo himself was young, "hip" and nice as well. I felt he really listened, explained all my options thoroughly and gave me piece of mind as I weigh the various options related to my ordeal. I'm actually very grateful I visited his office, as his diagnosis and approach is different than my first doctor, so it may be something more serious than previously thought! I highly recommend this office if you need a neurologist, and are a little freaked out by your health condition. He and his staff will treat you with dignity and put you at ease!

I have been a patient of Dr. Gupta for over a year now. At first, I met with his PA, and she was…read morewonderful. She has since left the practice, which is quite a bummer! I met with Dr. Gupta last week, and was reminded of what a wonderful physician he is. Unlike other practices, he always checks in with the patients, even when they have been seen by a mid level provider. He has been very helpful in helping me with my epilepsy and my pain/ nerve issues related to Chiari Malformation Type I. He is very knowledgeable about CMI which is not common for physicians. I was very sorry to leave my longtime neurologist when I left Michigan, but have been pleasantly surprised. I did have an EEG with Mary, and it went fine. I did not have as negative an experience as the previous review. Truthfully, I had much better experiences with EEGs in the past through my physician in Michigan, but I would say she did a "sufficient" job. It's my understanding that she is not employed by the practice (I may be wrong), and that she is more of an independent contractor. So, I wouldn't let the previous reviewer deter you from seeing Dr. Gupta. If I were to have a future EEG through the practice, I would probably ask to go somewhere else, rather than see Mary in the office. But, Dr. Gupta deserves five stars for sure!

The EEG specialist who works on Saturdays named Mary provided the worst, most unprofessional…read moreservice I have ever experienced. I went in this morning thinking my procedure would be relaxing and quiet and it was anything but!! I am used to being asked why I am needing a certain test done but Mary wouldn't leave it at that. She was asking for all of my personal life details. She asked me how I got my injury, if I was related to who gave it to me, how it happened, where it happened, who all was involved. Then after telling her I didn't like talking about it several times she still wouldn't stop asking me about my personal life. Mary then felt it was okay to ask me if I lived alone and who was watching my child while I am away, and how I manage to work with having a child. Just because I am a young woman does not me I am incompetent or irresponsible. Why is it any of her business where my child is when I am at work or attending to personal matters!! That was completely uncalled for and just down right nosey! I was in such shock by her complete and utter disregard of personal boundaries and lack of privacy. Her job is to perform the test, I was not there to disclose any personal information to her and she couldn't even do her job properly. Mary spent the rest of time commenting on my hair stating that I didn't know how to properly wash my hair and that I must not have rinsed all of the shampoo out of my hair. She kept stating my hair was either full of product or soft as to why she couldn't get one of the electrodes to stick to my scalp. Never in my life have I ever been so insulted. Just because I take care of my hair doesn't mean it is greasy or full of product. I followed the instructions just as I was told to not place any product in my hair and to ensure it was dry. Mary went on and on about how that must not have been so. And that I must have done something wrong. In addition to all of that the room was freezing! She placed all of the electrodes on my scalp and walked out of the room for over 30 min and did not return until it was over! I was freezing and I yelled out her name for help several times and she did not return and when I asked for one of blankets that was on the side she said NO! So on top of having to mentally relive all of the pain and suffering of how I incurred my injury, sit there and have my hair and basic competencies insulted, and then she has the nerve to deny me feeling any form of comfort during my appointment by freezing!!! I will never be returning for any other procedure to this clinic! And you shouldn't either!! Mary should be fired! She has no concept of professionalism!!!! None!!

He actually listens when you talk to him and doesn't give up trying to find the patient The best medicine & treatment for their condition. For myself, he pretty much helped to give me my life back. Not that I was totally pain free, but he did work to find the best meds that helped my condition the most. He helped me to get most of my functioning back, and got my chronic pain under control far beyond the level that any other doctor was able to. My wife and I are so grateful to Dr. Robbins, for all the things he has been able to do for us over the years. As he is currently retiring, we will greatly miss him, and many of his staff. Paul

In full transparency, my review is of my experience trying to see Dr. Robbins because,…read moredisappointingly, I never made it past a terrible experience with his staff. I've been managing a post-traumatic headache for over a year. The neurologist I've seen regularly recommended that I try a headache specialist after exhausting other available options. Dr. Robbins was one of the recommendations he made. I called in early November and was greeted with a brusque, "Doctor's Office" by the person who answered the phone. After clarifying that I had called the correct office, I explained that I was a new patient calling to request an appointment. She asked if I wanted an appointment with the nurse practitioner or the doctor. I explained my history, unsure of what the correct answer would be without any context. She acknowledged I should see the doctor and then told me their first available appointment was January 14. I expected a wait. And I realize Dr. Robbins is apparently a good doctor, which translates to being busy. But when you've had a headache for almost 500 days, waiting another two and a half months feels intolerable. I agreed to the January 14 appointment, figuring I would find a way to make it work and that it would be worth it. Until. Until. Until the office called me back and told me Dr. Robbins would now be out of the office on January 14 and would need to reschedule me. For a later date. Are you effing kidding me? I hope other people have better luck. I provided full availability to them, willing to bend over backwards to get some relief from this headache that's been plaguing me. It's disappointing that their customer service is so poor and more disappointing that I would be penalized for a change in the doctor's schedule after waiting 10 weeks to be seen.
