I'm a fan of this MyEyeDr location! It's easy to make an appointment online. Day of, I didn't have…read morethat much of a wait. Of course they do try to upsell you on their fancier eye exam services that are not covered by insurance. The exam was quick and I was able to get my prescription. It was my first time wearing glasses! I was planning on just heading out, but they are smart and pass you right off to a glasses sales person as soon as you exit the exam room. My sales person was Jose and he did an awesome job. Since I've never worn glasses before I had no idea what I was looking for. Based on my face shape he was able to suggest some great options and gave me honest feedback as I was trying them on. I was able to find a pair of glasses and sunglasses. Of course there is the second phase of the upsell for insurance, blue light, glare, etc. But, I went for all of the above, I'm prone to breaking things so the insurance seemed like a good idea. I recently went in for another pair of glasses and experienced wonderful service again. I had sat on my sunglasses and they were able to quickly bend the frame back into place for me while I shopped around. Overall this spot is convenient with friendly staff!

So their form doesn't populate right. And they called me a liar. But here's the kicker: Even if they took Blue Cross/BS, the lady at the desk told me it doesn't cover routine visits. They wrote me about needing to visit, but even BC/BS doesn't cover the visit. How absolutely stupid is that? So I basically wasted time 1) setting the appointment; 2) filling out a useless form; and 3) driving to Costco in the rain during the middle of the busiest time of year. I guess they get so many customers through Costco that they don't care.

We have insurance and we wanted the high dollar lenses .... My wife needs progressives... and they messed those up so she could not see. When you go back... they say you have to get a new exam to prove the Rx is still good.... Even though we got the exam the same day we ordered ... then we wanted the free second pair ... which we didn't qualify for while we waited until the glasses came back... so I paid $130 which she swore was the cheapest progressives could get... she then started processing the third pair ... I realized she charged me for tinting the quick pair even though she didn't tint them. Then I looked online and it was 2 pair of progresses for 69... her response was ... well you have to get two ... really .... At that point it was taking so long .. I just didn't feel like waiting for her to undo that transaction since we still had more glasses to order. When I asked if I could get refund she said .... You can just have tinted later or get refund when you come back. That turned out not to be true. They probably made about 1800 on us and now they are refusing to refund us $29 for services we didn't ask or receive. It's ridiculous... the specials are a scam!

The office is nicely appointed, clean and has plenty of parking right out front. I was treated very well, from the receptionist to the eyewear fitting. All of the employees were polite, kind yet professional. I really liked the doctor who listened to my history and gave me a very good exam. I initially spoke with a receptionist who indicated she was unsure and transferred me to an optometrist. Unfortunately, I did not obtain his name. During the conversation, the optometrist stated that he had only seen keratoconus "once," and further remarked that this was because "the zip codes of the patients he sees are generally healthy." Keratoconus is a well-documented, progressive eye disorder in which the cornea thins and bulges into a cone shape, resulting in distorted vision and significant astigmatism. It typically begins in adolescence or early adulthood and progresses over many years before stabilizing. The optometrist's statement was factually inaccurate and implied a socioeconomic or geographic bias regarding patient health, which I found to be unprofessional and inappropriate for a healthcare provider. Healthcare professionals are expected to communicate respectfully and without bias. The comment made during this call was dismissive of a legitimate medical condition and should raise concerns about the quality of care and professionalism patients may encounter at this practice.

They can't get anything right. My new glasses came in a couple of weeks ago, after being on order two weeks earlier and the lenses were two sizes, that's from a 56 to a 52, too small. Any idiot could plainly see that. So we sent them back...again. And here I wait again... In the past, we have had to send a pair back as many as four (4) times to get them right, where one thing or another was wrong. And that occurred multiple times. I have never had a pair to come in, absolutely ready to wear and correct. We like the Zebulon MED staff, but honestly, how do you people stay in business. FYI, these glasses were over $500 after insurance. No wonder there's a Warby Parker.
