Purple Pair and a Black Pair

I snapped my glasses in half luckily I had prescription safety glasses I could use. Of course when you go to a regular eye doctor it takes 2 to 3 weeks to get glasses so then I tried to see if Walmart could make me a quick pair but they couldn't but they told me about this place so I tried it on Saturday 5th, and can I just say they are LIFESAVERS lol I have a trip next week and just couldn't walk around in safety glasses. Eyemart Express helped me out I got 2pair for $60. I went in @1pm and both of my glasses were done by 2:20pm the same day. I also love the cases they came in it's a smooth black and the second one is a pretty blue. I've ordered my pair from my original eye doctor but now I have two backup pairs for a price you can't beat!

I initially spoke with a receptionist who indicated she was unsure and transferred me to an optometrist. Unfortunately, I did not obtain his name. During the conversation, the optometrist stated that he had only seen keratoconus "once," and further remarked that this was because "the zip codes of the patients he sees are generally healthy." Keratoconus is a well-documented, progressive eye disorder in which the cornea thins and bulges into a cone shape, resulting in distorted vision and significant astigmatism. It typically begins in adolescence or early adulthood and progresses over many years before stabilizing. The optometrist's statement was factually inaccurate and implied a socioeconomic or geographic bias regarding patient health, which I found to be unprofessional and inappropriate for a healthcare provider. Healthcare professionals are expected to communicate respectfully and without bias. The comment made during this call was dismissive of a legitimate medical condition and should raise concerns about the quality of care and professionalism patients may encounter at this practice.

It seemed like after Dr. Batey ( sp) left that office a few years back customer service went downhill. I will not mention that location but my last 4 visits left me frustrated to say the least :(. After my last visit, I decided that I would take my daughter to another location to look for new glasses. We first went to the Crabtree location and Victoria was awesome and helpful; however, there was not a lot of inventory there for my teen :). Beautiful store, just smaller :). We then went to the Six Forks location and I will always be a patient there moving forward. The manager was extremely accommodating and Stephen ( who helped us) was awesome! Stephen took his time with us on two separate days. He was honest with feedback, fast and efficient. I should repeat that, "Fast and efficient." I cannot say how much I appreciate a place that is on top of things along with offering incredible customer service. This location has it, and I know It is a rare find these days. My family and I will definitely continue going to this location in the future. My past location was only a 5 minute drive; however, it is definitely worth it to me to drive the extra 20 minutes to this practice!

He has a perfectly reasonable, logical explanation for whatever ails you, and he does whatever he can to explain it to you. He also uses technology that - prior to visiting his office - I hadn't seen in other optometrists' offices, like the camera that takes a big, clear photo of the inside of your eye to check for any horrifying abnormalities and to compare the overall state of their health year after year. The rest of the staff was really helpful. An employee that was awesome helped me pick frames and I personally didn't feel any pressure to buy, just helpful suggestions about the shape and color of the frames. There is a reason Carolina Family Vision was voted "Best Eye Doctor" in Holly Springs this year.

I went and needed to make an appointment- a week later 4/21/27 i was examined and I was impressed with all the updated machines. I had to wait a few weeks for glasses to be made, which is not unusual. I then went in and tried them on, these were $900 bifocals with all the bells and whistles, but the long-distance view was blurry. I immediately told this to the woman helping me, but she said take them home and get used to them and if they don't get better, bring them back. After a week, I went back and they gave me another exam, and the results were different from the first. After waiting another week or so, I went back again. the new glasses were fine. However, upon leaving, they handed me the old prescription and did not give me the accurate prescription. All was fine until I wanted to get a pair of prescription sunglasses from Costco. I gave them the script from Carolina Vision and waited a week. These sunglasses were for a vacation planned for the beginning of September to see Ireland. Well, when I tried the new sunglasses on , they were blurry. The optometrist at Costco tested my regular glasses and discovered the the script the I was given was the wrong script. so now i have to go on my vacation without the benefit of great sunglasses . Bottom line - Carilina Family vision looks pretty on the outside, the salespeople are professional, but behind the scenes it is a clown show .
