I was looking for a new nail shop to do my nails. I passed by this nail shop all the time and decided to give it a try. The place is clean and the service was good, up until the end ! I was charged $65.00 gel manicure and regular pedicure ( no problem). Before I went to dry my feet / I guess the owner called out 65.00 - but I didn't pay her any attention. The dryer went off but I wanted to dry my toes a little more, but before I could turn the dryer on again- she says $65.00 . I said relax, I am not done, I am going to pay you ! Calm down ! I turned around and said you had 2 other costumers and you didn't ask them to pay before their service was finished why do u want me to pay first ! I was livid!!! However I knew what it was ! It was because i am a Black woman and she most likely thought I was going to run out without paying ! I gave the lady that did my feet $10.00 and lady that did my nails $5.00, I am a good customers and I always give tips, but I would NEVER step foot in there again ! I hope that shop burn down to the ground !!!! I am a hard worker and I have respect and dignity for myself and those that provide a service to me !!! read more

Soho nails has and will be a staple in my life forever . I have been a dedicated customer of theirs for years and will continue. I don't even live in tenafly anymore and i still wouldn't go anywhere else. My mother and I go together almost every few weeks to get the best most professional service . Not only are they extremely clean and friendly but they are truly masters of their trade. I can pick anything off instagram and they can replicate it . I went to the salon years ago but stopped because I felt the staff were very rude except to their "favorite" customers. I was not a favorite therefore always felt uncomfortable - even though i'm a paying customer. Last week a friend convinced me to give them another try for a powder gel manicure which I did. This was my first time getting a powder gel manicure. I showed her the color I wanted & she suggested another lighter color so I said fine. When all was done, it looked like I had almost no color on my nails & I was so disappointed. I tried to like it over the weekend but still didn't because it was just so sheer & looked like nothing so i went back on Monday to see if there was anything we could put on top of the gels for more color. The woman who was there was beyond rude to me! It wasn't Lauren, the owner or Lee, the original manicurist. She was so condescending & practically mocked me to the customer she was working on. There are sooo many nail salons in our area, I don't need to be treated this way. I would have paid for additional color but she said there was nothing they could do. My complaint is less about the fact she said they couldn't be fixed and more about the way I was treated. I AM DONE WITH SOHO NAILS. read more

Please do not waste your money here! I came late about an hour before closing. My nail tech was Nicole. This was my first ever time here and I felt like she was rushing to get me out. She was very nice tho but she never asked me what shape I wanted although I mentioned that I wanted coffin twice. I asked for a fill in and it was 70$!!!! For a fill a fill in!! That's crazy!!! There was no shape and very bubbly! I spent 2 hours when I got home filing my nails do get some sort of shape in my nails. I would never ever ever come here again. It was a huge waste of money and time. I should've never came here and stayed with my go to nail salon, perfect nails in maywood. I will never get over this!!! I have gotten gel manicures before and nothing lasts as long as when I get it done at Soho nails. Also the pedicures are awesome !! I love this place and have recommend it to many people already. It is very clean and the staff is extremely friendly. I have gone with and without an appointment, and I have never had to wait. Therefore if you do not have an appointment I guess its not a big deal but maybe I have just gotten lucky. read more

Great place. Very relaxing, friendly and attentive staff, lots of color selections available... I was going to give this place 5 stars until I went to my local hometown spot in Philadelphia last Friday to have my gel manicure changed. They foiled my fingers with the acetone, waited the allotted 5-10 minutes, and then had me sit to scrape off the gel. What's supposed to happen is that the color comes right off without any residue or staining. However, that wasn't the case. My nails were stained pink resulting in me having to get my nails pink again which was not an ideal situation for me. My nail technician and his manager agree that either a) they (meaning SoHo) mix the Gel with nail polish in the bottles which is a huge no-no or b) they use cheap Gel brands. Either way, not good, but I'll give SoHo one more shot before I completely turn away form here. read more

I've been going to SOHO nail spa for years and they give amazing regular manicures, gel manicures, and pedicures. However I paid $45 for dip powder nails that chipped within 5 days (they can last up to a month), I came in to have them removed and saw that part of the filing process left a deep crescent indent in my nails, and they charged me $17 to have the poorly done manicure taken off!! Overall, I paid over $60 for nails to last less than a week, and have my nails ruined for the next few months. DO NOT GET DIP POWDER HERE! Otherwise they provide their service well and have great employees, but unfortunately I will not be going back due to my last experience there. read more

My sister and I love going here. It was our second time here and we didn't have an appointment so we went early when they first opened. Regardless of not having an appointment they will take their time with you. Lauren, the owner, actually remembered my sister and I even though we only were there once before months ago! My sister had Lisa. She provided her with an amazing gel manicure. I had Michelle. I got a set and a manicure. Michelle took her time to make sure I had the right size nails and did such an amazing with preparation and everything. I have had a set done before but nothing compared to the one I received at soho. Thanks Michelle! Been here a few times since my salon closed - they seemed ok - brought my daughter today for mani/pedi -she just graduated from law school - in less than 5 minutes there was all this commotion and owner was yelling at my daughter...telling her she can't try colors on her nails...shes taking too long...then walked off -she said we are closing...my daughter said we have 1 hour to go...then 30 min later a lady comes in and she says ok yes come in... meanwhile, i asked for simple manicure since i had fixed my own 2 broken nails...they were very angry..saying so what do u need done...i said do a manicure..file, clean cuticles and polish...it was so haphazard..poorly filed..she left glue on my fingers...then said .. u pay now! i said later when we are both done...she said NO you pay NOW...I said ok 2 mani/pedi...she starts loudly arguing...saying No manicure for your daughter she refused the manicure & accused her of lying - i say ..u misunderstood thats not true - she shouted at me...saying my daughter upset her and now she was all worked up...she just kept arguing on and on...and then loudly shouting in Korean to all her nearby staff...obviously about us!! My manicurist kept snickering and I said what is so funny...I fixed my own nails to save you time...just pls. manicure them...she kept saying ....i am not sure what to do...do you want to cut cuticles and handed me the tool...I said NO...this is ridiculous...i was firm & matter of fact so she finished....the sweet Latin woman pedicurist who they assigned to me was so upset...she said I dont know whats wrong with her today...I said shes acting crazy...you could see she was very nervous...it had a terrible stressful vibe...I will NEVER go back...THEY WERE SOOO RUDE TO PAYING CUSTOMERS -my daughter was sitting there in shock - she did nothing to justify being yelled at...just verbally abused for trying to decide on a color while having a pedicure. Came here for a gel manicure after desperately trying to find a nail salon that comes close to the quality I used to get in Brooklyn, NY. The nail technician that did my nails was super meticulous and did a great job (I got a French). I'm on day 3 and it still looks great! My only issue is that she filed off some cuticle and broke skin on a couple fingers. Place is clean, all tools are taken out of a sterilized bag and disposed of post mani. If you're looking for a quick $20 mani + pedi and don't care if they just used the same nail file on the customer before you, Soho nails is not for you. If you don't mind spending a little more for quality service and good hygiene, then definitely make your next appointment at Soho Nails. Lauren and her staff know their regulars by first name, and, as a loyal customer, I love that. The salon is always clean and the pedicure massage chairs are really comfy. Estela is my girl. She really takes the time on your nails and takes care of you. Gina is simply the sweetest and gives a good mani as well. For an additional $5, I always get the Weekly Polish. And my pedicure with the Weekly Polish can last upto a month with no chipping (I dance for fun in heels and wear heels often). It's worth it for me bc I am so careless/clumsy with my hands and feet (banging my hands everywhere, stubbing my toes, etc), and it lasts over a week with little to no chipping. Shana gives killer massages ($15 for 10min) and is happy to give you one even while you're drying your nails. Makes the painful drying part go by so much faster! read more

Ok this is just not ok, I come in and they seat me right away so good so far then I wait for a solid 15 min, my friend waiting 30 min sitting down with her hands in the water for 40 fucking minutes as the women who should be doing her nails walks away to wax two other customers, sitting there with her hand in the water for another 10. People are constantly walking in and they are seating them when the wait is a solid hour. Then finally I'm asked square or round. I ask for square. She says and I quote, "NO", like what I have long enough nails for square. Ok then she literally rushes through everything on my, may I add round, nails. She aggressively butchered my cuticles and left me with a cut on my now bloody scabbed finger. She doesn't even clean under my nails so I ask if she could and we'll she cleaned one nail. One nail. After waiting for my ROUND nails to be painted I see the uneven nail polish cuticle painted hands. disappointment all around. read more

After reading reviews of Soho Nails I decided to go in today. Upon my arrival I was welcomed by the employees with smiles and made me feel really comfortable while I was there. The store is very clean and very sterilized. The workers also did dispose everything post mani. When I got a color gel they treated my nails very carefully and told me how to take care of them after I got them done. I also got a regular pedicure and the worker used hot stones to massage me! It felt very relaxing and soothing. I would definitely recommend this store to others and this is definitely going to be my go-to nail salon from now on! read more
