The hotel doesn't look like much on the outside, nor in the lobby. I mean there's a very hipster feel to it, at least in my eyes. But once you enter your room, you know you made a pretty good choice. The room wasn't quite large and cozy. Your typical standard room w. a king size bed. Lets begin with the bathroom. The good, nice and clean, smells fresh, very modern, simple. BIG problem i had with the bathroom was the shower. Definitely a nice shower, but the water.. oh the water was so confusing. When I turned the knob to test where it gets warm , and try again the second time it would be a completely different temperature. The same spot would be cold, warm, then scorching hot if you turned it there 3 separate times. It also takes about 10 minutes for it to get warm one certain days, and on others it gets warm instantly but 5 minutes into your shower (when you're all soapy and lathered and you NEED WATER) it decides to become freezing cold. So I would end up standing there, shivering with soap all over waiting a few years for it to regain warmth. Oh and sometimes when It is getting warm again, the pressure of the water changes too, so the warmer it gets, the smaller the amount of water comes out, so I had to hug the wall to basically get any on me. Idk it was all very annoying but it only happened a couple of times. (about 5/15showers I took during my stay). Next the bed, not comfy. Woke up with my neck stiff a few times. Sheets are meh, but it was huge so it did satisfy and do its job. A.C. Took forever to get cold so you have to keep it on otherwise when you get back from the heat, and want AC, its basically useless. But if you leave it on the whole day, the room is nice and chilly. Just sucks when you come out of the shower even a little wet, or when you sleep and wake up to use the bathroom or something. TV. EVERYTHING was in Spanish, I can appreciate that since I am obviously in Mexico, but I would have expected a few channels in English or at the very least subtitles. Considering its such a touristy area, the majority of people would be foreigners no? Most of the people I interacted with in the hotel and around the neighborhood spoke English as well. Just makes sense to have SOME channels haha. I guess that's a bit selfish to request. Oh well just voicing my opinion. The balcony, good view of the area from the top floor where i was. Not bad at all, except the hammock was uncomfortable as hell. Like if you've ever been in or seen a hammock pic the person is sunk all the way into it. This hammock was so stiff and weird, there were also lots of little lizards on the balcony which was cool. Overall the room was nice, comfy and served its purpose. These are all little pet peeves that I experienced, Cleaning ladies are awesome. Always provided fresh everything as expected, cleaned the floor which was a HUGE PLUS because we always came back sandy as hell from the beach, just they stopped giving us soap after a few days. Lastly the roof/pool. Small and shallow, couple of beds nice tanning chairs. Bar down the stairs. clean bathroom. kiddie pool/Jacuzzi thing, it wasnt warm or anything but it definitely felt nice after you dip into the cold and got used to it. Nothing special, though when I tried to invite my friends into the pool, they would need to charge $40 per person USD, which is like... UHHH that should have been said before the situation occurred AND the price is outrageous. Whatever, they didnt charge me, yet. Hopefully they wont. Staff were all friendly and professional. Check out was easy and fast. OH and their restaurant is in the lobby, nice little spot called enzo's. Decent food, but was very limited to like 4 things but I tried all 4 and they're ok. Wish they let us switch it up considering those plates were 80 pesos and other ones i wanted to try were only 40 but I didnt want to waste a complementary meal so I stuck to the 4.Atleast charge me the difference or let me choose cheaper things. Idk. Still great stay I liked it. would i go again? Maybe, wasnt the best spot for the price but it was overall still a good stay. You WONT regret this place, but there are nicer looking places with better amenities. OHOH! WIFI WAS TERRIBLE. ON AND OFF, SHABBY AS HECK.
