I honestly thought it would be your normal chiropractic business. You go in, get loose and limber on a machine, see the chiropractor for a whole 5 minutes and off you go until the next visit. If you like this option....they offer it as an option. But really, why rob yourself of the full package they offer. Let me take you back to late February when I first met Dr. Katie. (I thank my friend Sharyn for her referral.) We go over the initial patient paperwork and the issues that I have. The initial purpose of the visit was due to the discomfort I had in my lower back and hip area. (I later find out it's because of the chair I had at work.) What shocked me is on this first visit she has me do a few bend here, look hear, do this, do that, as a baseline of my mobility. She then takes an X-ray and we go over her discovery. It's at this point I see how misaligned my hips were (my work chair had an issue of not being leveled), the curvature of my spine and the vertebrae by my neck area that was causing my headaches (thanks to lots of computer work and driving). What shocked me was the excessive bloating I had that I could see clearly on the X-ray. She explained how my digestive system was disrupted because of how my spine was out of whack. We then set a schedule to get my body ready for the lifestyle changes I was about to encounter. Since My first visit, my mobility has changed greatly, the bloating has cut down tremendously, my digestive system is in the best working condition it's ever been. Keep in mind it's not about adjustments. Dr. Katie has supplements and a diet(s) that coincides with the adjustments. I truly believe I could have just stick with the normal, fo in, her adjustments and leave. Along with my weekly adjustments, I'm blessed with weekly texts of mind, body and soul messages. Emails of articles to back up the lifestyle changes I've made. And monthly nutritional check ups to see if any adjustments to my diet is needed that is holding me back from progression. I've never been to a chiropractor before.... but all my friends RAVE about Dr. Katie and her healing hands. Last week someone rear-ended me (everyone was okay, thankfully!) and thanks to my friends, I decided that I should go get looked at to make sure everything was okay. I called Sol Chiro and they got me scheduled ASAP. Eshelle was very helpful in explaining how it would all work. Upon arrival, I found that Sol has a very calming atmosphere. I was a bundle of tight nerves and I really don't like having my back cracked so I was a bit nervous. I explained this to Katie and she assured me that we'd take it slow. First up was x-rays and she walked me through what we were doing. She went into depth on what she was seeing on the x-rays and the next steps. She could see the bulging neck muscle and that my left shoulder was higher than the right. Even though I knew I was kind-of a train wreck, I was in GOOD hands. I came back the next day for a small adjustment and I was so relaxed, I didn't even feel/see it coming. She has essential oils pumping (LOVE) and calming music. And that table, well, how comfortable is THAT!? I could lay there all day and have eucalyptus oils rubbed me all the live long day. I've been back a few times for adjustments and it's been such a pleasant experience. She cares about each and every patient. She asks questions and tries to get to the root of the pain/problem. Dr Amanda is her name and no pain is her game. I came in to Sol chiropractic a few weeks ago looking for some relief from neck pain after a double disc replacement almost a year ago. I am doing my recommended physical therapy and stretches but still feeling off slightly with pain in my lower back creeping up. The Dr.'s are knowledgeable, experienced, provide you with useful information regarding your healing process, passionate about their careers, and most of all care about each and every client that walks in and out of that office. And if any person ever leaves bad review here, it's because they are a negative person to begin with and will always be impossible to please. I've worked the construction Biz for 22yrs so I do know just a little about customer's and trying to keep them happy. Sometimes it's just not possible. When I started going for treatments, I was in complete AGONY, virtually on the verge of tears at every movement I made. I felt like humpty-dumpty that had fallen off his wall and was needing to be put back together again. Thank GAWD I have Katie and Derick. They are my kings horsemen and kings men. They're putting me back together again. Honestly, the damage is from negligence on my part. A simple injury that compounded over time. I injured myself and let it go for far too long thinking it would heal itself on its own. I let the injury go far enough that my body shut down COMPLETLY and I couldn't walk with out complete agony and pain. I hadn't been able to work for months due to this injury. So I went in to see Dr Katie. If you could take a long look at my X-ray's you'd see how bad my body was out of alignment and why I was in so much agony and pain. My hips were so badly out of alignment that one side was higher than the thickness of my pointer finger. Trust me I'm 6'4" with big thick hands. My most severe angle from L1 to L4 was almost 24°. That is more than 1/4 of 90°. Your spine should be 0° to be straight. My back was out of alignment badly and needed attention. In about 1.5 months I am under 9° curvature in the same place and improving. It's a painful recovery but it's working and I am getting the results I need.I am 1000&7% confident that Dr. Katie and Dr. Derick will have me back to 0° alignment and feeling 100% in no time. I have been going to Dr. Katie for 7 months now and am very pleased with the results and treatment. The atmosphere is comfortable and laid back, I just love it! So I normally try not write bad reviews but after thinking about it I felt compelled to because the owner of the company should know that there reservationists is in need of some basic business concepts training. Like your phones represent your business, so having an attitude and being unfriendly will result in people not using your services. First I called yesterday at 10am and left a message. Nobody called me back. I then facebooked and got a response to call the office. I was looking for a new chiropractor and have insurance. I had many friends recommended this business. So after finally being able to talk to someone the person on the phone was very cold, incredibly unhelpful and had a take it or leave it attitude. I was told I would need to pay upfront $50 for an consultation, possibly $75 for x rays and then $45 for an adjustment. I have chiropractic insurance so I asked if they could look it up for me. I was told no you need to pay possible $170 upfront then we will refund you based on your insurance. I asked how long it would take to get reimbursement and I was told 3-5 days. I asked if there was anyway they could look me up first so I wouldn't have to pay so much. I was abruptly told "no and then so do you want to make an appointment?) not let me see what we can do. Not let me talk to my manager none of that. So reluctantly I made my appointment. After getting off the phone I was seriously bothered by how unhelpful and out right rudely I was treated. After talking to my husband we found another Chiropractor and canceled my appointment with this business. When I went to see who will now be my new chiropractor he looked me up in less than 3 minutes and only charged me $20 for my copay. Now I understand that everyone has bad days but right now in a time where so many people are out of work if you are lucky enough to have a job you should be practicing kindness and empathy. I received zero from your employee. Hopeful getting a bad review on yelp will make your employee realize how they are affecting your business. read more

Update: Prior to going to Sol Chiropractic, it seems I caught every cold that was going around and was sick every month or two. I've been getting adjusted on a weekly basis since January 2015 and my health has improved in SO MANY WAYS! I rarely even get the sniffles now and when I do, it's mild and over in a day or two, I've lost weight, my skin is clearer, and I have loads more energy. I thought chiropractors were just for injuries, but now I understand that my body can only function at 100% and heal itself when it's in alignment and my nerves are supplying all the blood/oxygen my organs need to thrive (it clicked for me when I learned that!). Now that I've been harassed via email and called a liar, I've realized that 2 stars was too generous! Maybe she didn't hear me when I said my neck was still out. Maybe her response about next time was not in response to that, but the bottom line is that she doesn't listen to her clients. I also left there with pain in my tailbone that I didn't have when I arrived. The pain persisted for 2 weeks, until I saw a different chiropractor who corrected it. Walk in the place, don't even get greeted! Waited for a good 20 minutes before I actually got the new patient forms to full out. Doctor walks me back tells me about the exam that he's going to do and that he recommends x rays. Does the whole nine yards and then tells me he can't even a just me today. I have to come back tomorrow. I wish I was informed that I wasn't going to be seen that day being that I went there for them to get rid of the pain that I was in.
