While on vacation this past September, I wrenched my lower back so badly I could hardly walk and the spasms we painful enough to bring me to tears. I found Dr. Takitani on the web and made an appt. He adjusted me and did some PT which helped greatly. I took his advice and rested with ice packs for a couple of days. Ty Takitani and Norma Franco took over the office where the late Dr. Jim Hattaway once operated. Ty is orIginally from Maui, but had two chiropractic offices in Southern California before moving home two years ago. The difference in treatment from Jim Hattaway is that they use a combination of massage, chiropractic adjustment, and rolling machines for their treatment. The office is neat and clean, and their office manager is courteous and calls customers by their name. Allow approximately 45 minutes for adjustment and treatment. I have been coming here for a bit over a month now. I was involved in a car accident where a girl fell asleep at the wheel and hit our car head on. My ankle was injured in the accident and I had major body pain with headaches afterwards. I had never been to a chiropractor before so I didn't know what to do or how to pay. They took care of calling the insurance for me and said I didn't have to pay out of pocket since it was a car accident. After coming here I feel so much better! I'm not completely healed yet, but definitely better. The staff is very nice and caring. They want to make sure you feel great leaving the office. They use an ultrasound heating machine with 2 types of gels on my ankle which honestly is the most amazing thing! My ankle feels so much better! They use the same machine on my back. It helps break down any scar tissue and cut down pain. They massage my back and neck where any knots may be. The chiropractor does a great adjustment. There are 2 chiropractors who are a husband and wife team- Dr. Tyler Takitani and Dr. Norma Franco. Super nice people! Then they put me on a bed that has rollers which makes it feel like waves massaging your back. They also put heat pads on the bed so it warms up your back. I recently pulled my lower back at the gym twice but the second time was the worst. Had a pinched nerve with a very sprained back. I Google this spot and seen it had good reviews and one of the chiropractors have delt with the same issue himself. Called them up and made an appointment ASAP walked in and was greeted by the staff and I know they'll be mad but I warned them I had a bad memory (forgot there names) lol. But the entire staff were very professional, talkative, and friendly. They have reasonable prices depending on what treatment you need. I personally went all out because I just really needed it. I'm just all confuse, I was set up with a deep tissue massage person for my first 20 or so session, then Inwas asked to request for a second deep tissue massage prescription. I did that, and then there was an issue between Dr. Ty and the gentlemen who was massaging me, on my second time massaging, a female was assigned to give me the massage. I was asked after ward how was the massage, I told Dr. Ty the female wasn't strong enough and she didn't apply enough pressure to make me feel better. After this I was assigned again to the original gentlemen that massaged me the first time. After I wasn't scheduke anymore. I came to this chiropractor because they had excellent reviews. Folks never go by reviews alone, do the research on the doctors themselves and if you are in pain when you walk in an chiropractors office and the doctor does not order an X-ray immediately...get out of there. This office is old and not certainly not clean. As soon as I filled out the paperwork Dr. Norma began working on my neck immediately as I had terrible neck pain...the sessions only made the pain worst. After the third session I told her I need pain medication...she said ..we don't give that... What about an X-ray? Her reply ..go to your own doctor. I had the early stages of a rare of awful neuro condition.. if an x ray was taken they could have referred my to a neurologist immediately.. but these folks are all only cash payment and that's all.! read more

Their treatment is personalized to fit your needs, so whether you have an injury or just muscle tightness from day to day stress, they do whatever they can to help. Last year my family and I were in a car accident, they took such good care of us and handled a lot of the insurance matters, which made it less stressful for my husband and I. I hurt my back lifting weights recently and found these guys online. Boy was I thankful that I went in! Dr. Norma was incredible and her staff put me at ease. They weren't pushy and didn't try and sell me any type of long term plan like other chiropractors I have been too. They just went over my injury and laid out a treatment plan where I would make my own decisions on how often I could come in.
