I had a rough trip in and subluxated a rib between managing the luggage and packing for 6 people. Once we got into the rental car I realized I needed help or this trip would be a waste. I was in so much pain I couldn't breathe. It hurt to lift my left arm, lay on my back, twist, look to the left, even going over bumps in the car was excruciating. Dr. Drew Farrior not only could get me in same day (the very day I arrived on Maui) but within 2 hours. He knew right away what was wrong, did some treatments involving a tens machine and then was so gentile while he did my adjustments. I've been under chiropractic care for decades and typically this issue gets much worse for about 48 hours after it's corrected but Dr. Farrior's technique had me feeling 85% better by the next morning. By the next day I was only a little sore and by day three I was pain free. I wish he wasn't a 7 hour flight away or he would be my forever chiropractor. read more

Yes - relaxing and calming atmosphere. I've been going there for at least 3-4 months now for frozen shoulder . Jamie the acupuncture is doing such a great job. My shoulder is feeling much better each time a visit. I do recommend Jamie . For an acupuncture she take the time in listening to your body pain and stiffness . She use the smallest and thin needles you can't feel them at all . She been caring for me now about 8 months . Highly recommended .... read more

Just had a massage last with week with Miri. It was AMAZING! I consistently have knots in my shoulders and without applying overwhelming pressure she was able to get them all out. Her message is slow and intentional forcing people like me to "be in the moment" and relax. I've also had massages by Jody and Sol, both of whom are amazing and even do back walking as well. I usually get 1.5 hour massage which is a good deal at $115. I see Dr Drew on occasion for chiropractic and he is very helpful and knowledgeable as well. I'm super happy with the service at Northshore Chiropractic! The staff handled my paperwork quickly and are friendly. But the best part is the doctor. He's really good at his work and popped my back and neck so well I could feel the blood rushing back to areas that have been chronically sore. They take insurance so my copay is just $10. They also do massages for $88 an hour so next time I get an adjustment I'll also try their massage. This place is awesome! read more

My wife and I came in after a spontaneous visit to Paia. Dr Drew set us up for 2 massages within the hour which was great last minute service. My wife got a pre-natal massage from a different therapist which she said she really liked, but I'm mostly placing my review for the massage and adjustment that I received. Betsy Jo was my massage therapist and man did she do one hell of a job. I normally don't like getting too intense with my massages, but Betsy right away could tell that I needed some serious work! {I'm in my mid 30's, pretty active with gym, ice hockey, and golf. Terrible stretcher. Tense and tight all around} She's a tenacious one and after asking if she could step up the session a notch or two or TEN, she got to work. She immediately recognized that I had a raised hip which I had probably received from a diving injury last year. She focused on my lower back area to loosen up the muscles there for my eventual chiropractic adjustment. She also recognized that my chest muscles were extremely tight and performed a number of moves to stretch those out. I was literally being rolled around to loosen up those muscles. She also spent some time educating me and my wife on the muscles that we should aim to target going forward and different stretches that we can do at home to achieve this. It was intense, but it was effective and I appreciate the work she CHOSE to put in. I think most massage therapists would rather stay quiet and get away with the quick "fluff and buff" if you allow them to. Dr Drew set me up for a quick examination and adjustment which completed the visit and helped get that hip back to right. My wife and I will definitely be coming back to Dr Drew's office on our next visit to Maui. read more

They offer an array of modalities, my favorite is Hawaiian Lomi Lomi. It's more than just a massage technique it treats all levels of my being, physically, mentally and spiritually. I walk out of my treatments full of vitality and energized. Recently I have been added on acupuncture to my treatments to my sessions which are amazing!! The approach was focused on my whole body and all levels of my being. I have several things going on in my body and each of them were addressed. During my time in Maui, had two Massage Medley appointments with North Shore... the first was with Sol & the second with Jody -- both therapists were wonderful! The Lomi Lomi with Jody is absolutely the real deal, not some milked-down spa version. Jody was recommended to me by two excellent practitioners here in Albuquerque. Turns out she is well known in the Lomi community and is a sought-after instructor. It is much more than a massage. Be prepared for a deeply moving experience. Lomi is all about change and I'm still incorporating things that went through my heart and mind on Jody's table. Wow, amazing massage by Miri! My husband saw her to ease the pain of a blocked vertebrae, he came back from the massage raving about how amazing she was. He is sooo picky with his massage (he loves deep tissue), so if he says that she's good, I had to see her. She did not disappoint! She asked which areas were problematic and was able to help me with the pain. I have never experienced such an great relaxing deep tissue massage like that before. I almost fell asleep. Her pressure was perfect and her technique amazing. I have gotten massage all over the globe and this was one of the best I have gotten! I left so relaxed, plus she found all the knots and tension areas. I wish she was based in NYC, will have to come back to Maui! read more

Just left in tears due to Natasha's rude demeanor. Her only concern was how to get paid from my insurance with no care how much pain I'm in. She refused to give me a massage unless I paid out of pocket. Trying to tell me I'm not covered when I KNOW I am! Her attitude/vibes right when I walked in was sooo bad I wasn't sure I even wanted her to touch me if she could figure out HER billing. A coworker was even trying to show her I was covered. She must have wanted a long lunch break. A waste of my time and gas since she called 15 min before the appointment to tell me I'm "not covered". Dr. Drew was a great help, minus the double booked appointment which would have resulted in me leaving without an adjustment if he hadn't squeezed me in. Sorry Dr. Drew but I will be going somewhere else after dealing with her. read more

Snap...Crack...Pop... Don't let Drew's (Doctor Drew) barefoot approach lower your expectations or esteem. It's not just Maui, it's PAIA ! He's just very laid back, but very efficient and effective. I'm a very active athlete, 65 years young, and after 5 sets of singles tennis 3 days in a row, I had a T-5 spasm (upper back) which stretching and my girlfriend's walking on me couldn't correct. One 20 minute session, begun with electro-stim to relax the spasming muscles, and then 2-3 snaps and cracks, and pop, the acute pain was gone. i was back playing the next day, and every day after that with no problem. $75 for first visit, $45 for a second (didn't need). Can I assign 10 stars, 20? I was a very big skeptic. Did not believe in acupuncture. Employed massage and chiropractic medicine for years. Then, I developed Bursitis in my hip. Nothing helped. Could not walk straight. Had to use a walker. This went on for over two months. Went on vacation with my husband and my walker. A cruise manager referred Jamie to me. I knew it was truly God Sent when Jaime called me back on a Sunday and told me to come in. The first appt. I walked up straight. Made 3 appts. the following week. After the second appt., I was pain free and walked without the walker. No shots or pills. She also effectively dealt with hot flashes, stiff neck and lower back pain. Unbelievable. I am now a convert. Returning to Hawaii in November and if my body so directs, will see Jamie while I am on Maui. Thank you so much for your gentle manner, your amazing results and you kind demeanor. The end of January my daughter and I were in Pa'ai for birthday celebrations. Wow! Had the most wonderful, deep, integrative massage with Miri. She has the hands of an angel. Miri was very attentive to my body/needs.
