This is HANDS DOWN a great place with personable and professional doctors and assistants! I'd choose this place any day over AOMS. Here you are not just a number. Dr. Douthitt was extremely personable, very kind, and truly took interest in our 12-year old. He also set our kids at ease with this procedure, which was kinda a big deal in our world. (It took us by surprise!) But he was very reassuring and had great "bedside manner." The office staff and dental assistants were equally amiable. I'm thankful we were told to come here, because although I made many phone calls and had several referrals to other offices--- this one is by far the best! I recommend this place, please keep in mind-- the costs are not exorbitant but the service is OUTSTANDING! WOW! Thanks again for treating our 12-year-old so well! He is good at explaining options available and things to factor in when making a decision. He could almost get 5 stars except I heard drills before my appointment. I realize that drills are a necessary feature of dentistry, but the noise totally tenses me up! So maybe a non-scardy-cat will not take off a star for fear. It isn't Dr. Cato's fault afterall.

The doctor was kind and conversational. I am typically one to be nervous at the dentist however the doctor was gentle and talked to me as the procedures were being done. While at the doctor's office the dentist was welcoming us to the city of Amarillo and also was kind enough to point out some suggestions on great restaurants in the area. That night my father inadvertently chipped one of his front teeth at about 11pm. What was already an emotional trip now had a new factor. I called and left voice mails at several doctors' offices. Healthy Smiles called us before 8am, saw Dad at 9am. They gave him priority, they were very kind and remarkably pleasant. They really did put the smile back on my Dad's face. I had A LOT of cavities that needed to be filled in when I moved to Amarillo. He worked with me in creating a personalized treatment plan, and to this day I get compliments from other dentists on how great my fillings look (weird I know, but I think that certainly speaks on the work that he has done on my teeth)! He has also helped me with trimming my teeth to help alleviate my TMJ. At the end of my two years in Amarillo, he even took the time to research local dentists in my new destination city and gave me recommendations. All in all, AWESOME dentist, if I had someone like him in my current city I would come to his practice in a heartbeat.
