Background: I suffered inferior dislocation of my right shoulder: an extremely rare and complicated shoulder injury. The shoulder was reduced (put back in place) by doctor shortly after the injury but the range of motion was highly restricted after the trauma and hence I was referred to physical therapy. I started attending this physical therapy center about a month after the injury and I have seen Kevin every week for past six-seven weeks (my therapy is still ongoing). I can say that the marked improvement in the range of motion of my right shoulder has exceeded my own expectations. In the very large part this has been due to the excellent therapy provided by Kevin and his great team! I would highly recommend this center for anyone looking for rehabilitation after Sports injury - based on my own positive experience. read more

Customer service is sucks! I called to know if my insurance will cover the treatment and the lady that I talked to did not ask what type of insurance I have and asked me to come in. I told her that I'm not coming in to waste my time or their time if my insurance will not cover it. I suggested that I will give her my info and she can call me back as soon as she has the information, then we will go from there (basically, I was telling her to do her job efficiently). Her reply, "oh, it will take us an hour to verify your insurance and the next available appointment is the end of August". And I said thank you and hang up. I feel like I'm a nuisance and interrupting whatever she was doing. It should be handled with tact, politeness, and empathy. PATIENTS ARE CUSTOMERS, pls keep that in mind. read more

Highly impressed with the initial professionalism, quality of care received, and passion for their profession. I will give a full review once I have been a patient for longer than one visit. I am going to give my initial impressions of the visit, becoming a new patient, and quality of first visit. Referral to new patient: I was given a referral by my doctor for my back. They gave me a number, address, and referral info for care with PT office. I called them, and it was past 3pm, and their new patient intake person was already gone for the day. They leave the office at around 3pm every day. If you need to schedule an apt. as a new patient call before 3pm. I called the next day at 730am, as I was told the office opens at 7:30am to take patient calls. They did not answer until 8:35am after I called every 1/4 hour until their system no longer transferred to their automated, after hours, system. When I got a hold of them they sent new patient info to my email, to bring to the appointment. This practice saved me tons of first appointment time, that you usually spend the first time at a provider. Smart move. We scheduled an appointment around my schedule within 48 hours. They have extremely flexible time management for patients. The informed me how much time my appointment would take, and what I needed to bring with me. Efficient and effective front office intake so far. My only admin improvement would be to have someone cover this office for scheduling the entire time they are open to closing. First appointment: Easy check in. Two people at the front desk. Signed the sheet as they took my paperwork that I pre-filled prior to the appointment. They scanned it in along with my insurance card, had me sit and wait for 10 minutes and then I was taken to the back to get worked on. Super efficient system for front office. The therapist was nice, smart, and on point. He went over my history and then developed a plan with me for the most effective treatment possible. He not only gained my "buy-in"... he involved me in setting an end goal. He gave me three exercises. We went through the exercises. He rubbed down my pain areas, and sent me on my way after heating my back up. read more

Hurt my back so bad I couldn't walk. Kevin saw me quickly and was amazing. He listened to what was going on. He was tough enough but also didn't push me too far. I was walking better the next day!!! I have had a wonderful experience with Dublin Physical Therapy. I first went there because I had a frozen arm. I had to keep it against my body because it was so painful. I could not raise it either. After ten visits my arm was restored and I did not need to get anymore treatment. I can use it fully and virtually pain free. I went back to Dublin Physical Therapy because of severe back pain. I could hardly walk or stand. I spent most of my time laying down and taking narcotic pain medicine. After another ten visit program, the improvement has been fantastic. I have arthritis in my lower back. Today I walk around and sit up with great improvement. My lower back pain has greatly improved where the pain level is quite bearable. Once again I am back to have my hips worked on. Today was my first treatment and it was an immediate improvement when I walked out. They are excellent and really know their business. It wasn't the worst experience I have ever had but it certainly wasn't a good one. You get billed for a one hour appointment and they spend about 20 minutes working on you. It was very impersonal and you feel like you are just a number to them. I gave them the benifit of the doubt and had three visits in which I saw 0 improvement so I stopped wasting my time and money. Great place! I went here for about 3 months for a shoulder injury I endured from a cycling accident. Through stretches, cupping and finally strength building exercises, they fixed me up real good. A few months later and they got me back on track so I could start cycling again! The staff, especially Vanessa, Sarah and Thien are great, friendly and knowledgeable. I learned a lot from going here and while I hope that I don't have to go back any time soon, this will be my go-to PT spot for future injuries. read more

I have been going here to see Matt and he has been great. He is very knowledgeable and always has great answers to my questions. For one of my appointments Matt was booked and I saw another gentleman and he didn't seem to give me the same time/attention that Matt did. I'm not inclined to give 5 stars for anything, really except maybe my chiropractor (Kenda Burke). But the thing is Kevin's physical therapy operation out in Dublin rocks. And this is from a guy (me) who drives out there from Oakland twice a week. But the drive's not as bad as you might think. The main thing, though is that Kevin has the attitude, skills, and experience necessary to make your body work right. Big hearted, sure, but he takes a mechanical-engineer's view of the human body. Now that I have a good chiropractor and a good physical therapist, i'm a happy camper. So, if ever you think you've hit some kind of a wall, and your body's kaput, think again. Give Kevin a call. I am 8 weeks post ACL reconstruction knee surgery. I've seen Rosie, Kevin, Brandon and Matt, but have spent most of the time with Brandon and Matt. The treatment I've received has been top-notch and has included a variety of therapies appropriate to my stage of recovery and rehabilitation, and customized to my level of motivation. I know that much of my rapid progress is due to their expert care. The staff is always friendly and attentive. I started PT at Dublin Physical Therapy a few weeks ago after being rear-ended in a car accident. I wondered whether PT would really help with the pain, and now I know for sure that it does. When I ran out of insurance-authorized PT sessions and had to wait more than a week for a new billing authorization in order to go back for therapy, my neck and back pain returned after a few days to the point that I couldn't even drive. I've just started my twice-weekly sessions again and am getting significant pain relief and an increase in mobility already. I see both Stephanie and Mike, and both of them are skilled therapists, as well as being warm people (and very patient with my pain complaints). They always seem to know which part of my back and neck needs the most work at the moment, and they help me to feel so much better. Niomi at the front desk is always willing to help in any way that she can, too, with insurance, scheduling, and any other questions that I've had. This facility had the most confused/unorganized staff. On April 16, 2018, the front desk was rescheduling my son's appointment and the woman took 15 minutes to reschedule. Then, she hands me a final point out of the revised schedule. It showed the next appointment on April 18, 2018 at 4 pm. We show up, only to have the same woman say that this appointment had been cancelled and that the revised schedule showed that. I whipped out the revised schedule SHE had given me 2 days earlier. Then she goes into a "remember, I told you the appointment was cancelled....". Um...NO! SHE gave me the revised schedule I brought with me. Then she said that my son left last time before she could give him the revised schedule. What! He had NOTHING to do with the rescheduling. He sat on the side while she and I were discussing it. Basically, she called me a liar, when that didn't work, she tried to blame my son! Unacceptable! Don't ever blame a client, especially when it is YOUR mistake. Also, on April 16 at 5 pm when I was picking my son up, another woman who was getting physical therapy in an OPEN area where everyone can see, had one whole breast exposed the whole time I was there! I've had to have physical therapy a few times. I've never found much value in it as this profession seems to attract a lot of young people who have always been more interested in chatting about their weekend plans than paying attention to me, the patient. You know how they'll put you on a machine and say "do 20 reps of that" and then they wander off and start chatting up a coworker and you're just sitting there wondering when they'll come back? That's pretty much been all my previous experiences. Well, not at this place. I got very lucky in finding this place through my insurance network and the reviews on Yelp. My first appointment was with the owner, Kevin, who kind of triaged me and homed in on the problem. I don't know if they do this with every new patient and have them go through Kevin so he can diagnose and then put you with the right therapist? But Kevin was able to figure things out right away. In fact, he got me walking again after just that first appointment. I was then assigned to Brian Z. who has been great. Not only has he given me personalized attention (there is a little chatting with coworkers, but it is very brief and he has never made me feel like he wasn't focusing on my issue), but he has gone so far as to discuss other issues that were complicating my knee injury. This last appointment he told me he had been reading up on some journal articles because of the way I was presenting and he wanted to give me some other aids to help me with my muscle pain. I was so impressed! Talk about going the extra mile. Anyway, bottom line is I feel very fortunate to have worked with Kevin and Brian, and it has restored my faith in the value of physical therapy. August, September and October were hard months for me. I had an issue with my knee and then had tendinitis in both wrists. I went to PT and was assigned to Jordan Davis for my knee. She was very knowledgeable and was able to find the source of the pain and get it back to normal. When I had the issue with my wrists, I made it a point to return to Jordan. By the time I left for vacation, my knee and wrists were ready to go. I still have small remnants of uncomfortableness in one wrist but it is getting better by the day. This was my first experience with Spine and Sports Physical Therapy in Dublin. Jordan D. has been working on my back and shoulder. She is nothing less than stellar. If 10 were the highest, she would be a 15. In the past, I've worked with other Physical Therapists in San Francisco and East Bay. They would just show me some exercises then tell me to work at home on them. Jordan is very "hands on" at each session and works with you very closely on specific muscle areas. I started going to see Mike in May of 2013 for help in rehabilitating my knee after several ACL surgery complications. Prior to my visits to Dublin PT, I was seen by another Physical Therapy office who I worked with for about 5 months. Unfortunately, my progress was not rapid or significant enough and they told me they did not think I would see any more improvement. I was devastated. I had always been an active person. Soccer and hiking were a huge part of my life but after and ACL reconstruction and a corrective surgery on the same knee a year later, I was left barely able to walk let alone jog or run. The muscles in my leg had atrophied to the point where I could not even raise the leg under my own power. On the recommendation of a friend, I decided to see if another PT office could help me improve. It is something I will be forever grateful for. Mike worked with me diligently and patiently for almost a year (with a few months break in between). While progress was extremely slow in the beginning, he never made me feel I was wasting his time. His multi-approach treatment and positive encouragement gave me a feeling of hope. He was right there with me all the way and celebrated each milestone with genuine feeling. When I started with DPT, I walked slowly and with a very pronounced limp. Stairs, bending down and walking more than a few minutes at a time were all extremely painful and difficult. I was also severely depressed- I had gone from an active 32 year old to an almost invalid and had been told by professionals that I most likely would not see any improvement due to the damage. When I walked in the door on my first visit to DPT, I was both physically and mentally fried. Now almost a year later, I am happy (and sad) to report that I had my last session with Mike and the DPT crew this past June. On my last day, I was able to run for the first time in three years. It was honestly something I never thought I would be able to do again. I can walk without pain, take stairs at a jog and am continuing to increase my endurance and strength. To anyone who has been suffering from pain or loss of enjoyment of life due to mobility issues- please go see these people! They are all extremely kind, dedicated and passionate about what they do. I do not know that it is possible to receive better care. To Mike- a special heart-felt thanks. You gave me my life back. Thank you for everything and for making such a difference. read more
