The inside has had a huge makeover and things are very spread out now and it's more bright. Everything is just as expensive as it used to be, if not more. Utopia was always three levels, which you can't tell from the street or the parking lot. The lower level is sex toys, other adult things, and drug paraphernalia. Main level is armor, incense, some clothes, the piercing area and now records. The third level appears to be off limits to customers now. Years ago the third level had music and other interesting things for sale. Out of all the employees that saw my friends and I only ONE said hello. I have been looking for Monogrammed necklaces for my sister everywhere. I checked out local vendors…read morein Long Island and I also looked online. Some of the prices were outrageous and I didn't want to spend a lot of money on a necklace. I found Temptations online and I called the lady (who's name I forgot, I apologize!) She is so so sweet! I called her on Saturday and normally she opens her shop on Sunday at 12pm, but I had a wedding later that day, and she personally came in and opened the shop for my sister and I at 10am! She didn't have to do that but the gesture enough was so sweet! She showed us her monogrammed necklaces and gave us suggestions. We ordered the gold 16 inch chain, and medium monogram pendant. She told us it would take about 4 weeks, because everyone was trying to rush their orders in for Mother's Day. I told her it was no issue. The necklace was ready in three weeks and It was perfect, except for one thing, I noticed a tick in the monogram pendant. The lady stated it was normal but she said, don't worry about it, she will take care of it and get a new one made, which SHE DID at no extra cost. WHO DOES THAT?! NO ONE! If you want a monogrammed necklace at a decent price and someone who will work with you and who actually will go out of their way for you, go here! You won't regret it! PS. Her shop is basically a small station located inside the Cactus Salon in the Plainview Shopping Center. Just give her a call!
