Me and my daughter went here looking for a new nail place in the area and let me tell you, they did not disappoint and we will definitely be going back again!! The moment we walked in the door we were greeted and not long after we were both seated in our pedicure chairs. The pedicure and massage was one of the best we've ever had, plus the massage chairs are amazing as well. We both got a full set done (short ones done by Todd-long ones by Kay) and we left there more than satisfied and in love with our nails. This salon never disappoints! I've seen a variety of their nail techs and all are amazing. When I want detailed design work for my manicures, I see Mimi (apologies if name is spelled wrong!). She's done some amazing work (in photos)! Their Solana Pedicure is a favorite of mine to get because it includes so many enhancements and I always conclude feeling completely relaxed. I also enjoy that their pedicure cove doesn't have any overhead lights as the techs have a light closer to your toes so you can close your eyes and feel at peace. Unfortunately I was very disappointed at my one experience here. I had a simple gel polish change and was charged the price for a full gel manicure. I raised concern when I was checking out and they said this was because they of cuticle cleaning, which I said I didn't have. They begrudgingly lowered it $5, but I still paid $30 for something that should cost $20 at most. On top of that, the gel polish lifted within a week. I will not be returning here. read more

I can't recommend this place enough. Relaxing and well kept facility. Skilled staff, very friendly and professional. I've been going here for 10+ years and continue to come back even after moving 30 minutes away because I have yet to find a better place closer to my new residence. I've probably visited a dozen or so nail salons in the west metro and this place is by far my favorite! Tip: they become very busy during the holiday season and again on weekends during the summer months. I came here a few weeks ago for a french tip gel pedicure. The service was pretty regular/average and the gel polish started peeling maybe a week after getting them done, BUT it did not come completely off of my toes. It was lifted around the edges/back (nearest my cuticles) on two of my middle toes. The perfect polish on my big toes is still here with me today, about a month later. Anyways, the true star of the show was the massage chair! I've NEVER sat in a massage chair that put a squeeze on my legs! That was different and enjoyable! BUT the gentleman who did my nails was the absolute worst person who has ever done my nails before and I have been getting my nails done for 10 plus years! He was so rough on them and when he would use the Electric nail file he was BURNING MY NAILS OFF and I kept telling him that it hurt I had probably told him at least 6 times an I would pull my hand away and he would just jerk it back. So disrespectful . also I know he was talking about me In a language I didn't speak. And TWO of my nails broke off within the next few days. I most definitely do not recommend this place unless you want to leave with no fingernails left. Also when I went to pay he was begging for a tip with his body language. I went in yesterday for a manicure and pedicure - it ended up being one of the worst I've ever had. I shouldn't say "ouch" 5 times - once because he didn't follow the appropriate process to remove gel (pulled it off with cuticle cutters rather than filing the top and soaking in polish remover) once because he push the cuticle pusher under my nail, 3 times because he was digging his nails into my skin. I have polish on my skin on two toes and two fingers. He didn't actually remove all my cuticles. Tried to up charge my service without asking - I stopped him before he started the service. Then charged me wrong and I had to pay additional after my nails had been painted. I have had good experiences here in the past - but this guy didn't seem to actually know what he was doing. I won't go back without a specific appointment with someone else, because this was more expensive than other locations I like better for a lower quality. read more

I'm not Minnesotan. I don't belong in Minnesota. This winter weather completely trashes my skin, and I have not yet properly trained myself to slather on lotion. Last winter my hands and feet were a total painful disaster. So, this year I told myself I was going to try to get regular manicures and pedicures to fight back the dry and chapped. I wasn't ready to start last year, because once my hands and feet started looking like they belonged on a zombie, I wasn't willing to go make somebody touch them. Eew. Anyhow, I of course failed to go in November, before the cold and dry hit, and before you know it my nails were all breaking off. But, things hadn't made it all the way to zombieville yet. I searched Yelp for a convenient nail salon recommendation, and didn't see any reviews that really sold me on a place, so I asked a person for a recommendation. Like, a real person, not a computer one. Bizarre. She told me to book a pedicure at Solana Nail Spa, with Naa. So, I did. Great choice. The space was quiet and peaceful. The pedicure chairs were not jammed too close together and they were offset from manicure area and entrance, to keep it a little more serene. The staff did not chatter loudly at each other about personal matters. They only spoke if they needed something work related, and they did so in subdued tones. The only extremely loud person there was another customer, and lucky for me, she finished and left. I could tell you plenty about her personal life. Indoor voice, people. Naa did a really good job on my hands and feet both. All this snow shoveling is causing extra aches in my hands, and the careful hand massage really helped. I'll definitely go again. They do accept credit cards for services, but they discourage using them for tips. read more

Okay. So. A.) I got there & she said 5-10 minutes. 30 minutes later still hadn't been seated - so I got up to leave & THEN they sat me. Only for me to sit at the station for another 10 minutes. B.) I was transferred from technician to technician. I think I had 4 different people do my nails. C.) Not only did she trim my nails REALLY short (I have acrylic over my natural nail & I like them shortish - but kind of long) - she completely butchered my thumbnail. Although she did "fix it" with the acrylic powder - You can tell it is different & it is lopsided. D.) My french manicure looks semi-decent - aside from the "pink" he used under the white - was half-assed done. Got some of it on the white & the rest of it was bubbly and streaky. The only nice thing was that they offered me a diet coke - but that wasn't worth the trouble and the horrible service I received. I went to Solana Nail for a pedicure on a Sunday afternoon. I called ahead to see if they could accommodate me which they said they could. Upon my arrival I was asked to pick a color but then noone came back to direct me where to go. After 5-8 minutes someone came over and directed me to a chair. Another 5 minutes passed before someone came over, they were busy I completely understand. My nail tech handed me the book and asked which pedicure I wanted. I pointed to what I thought was the classic, pointing directly at the price. Once my pedicure was complete I went to the drying station and after a couple minutes my tech came over and asked me to pay. She said $57.00, I said no it was $35.00. She brought the book over and showed me, this was the first time I actually saw the pedicure page. She handed me the manicure, I pointed at the price, she should told me I was looking at the wrong page. It was a long day, I had been driving for 3 hours and didn't pay attention. I take blame for that but it should have been brought to my attention that I picked the incorrect price. I was not prepared to pay $57.00 for a pedicure, that wasn't in my budget. I came to this nail spa a few times in the past before choosing to get a manicure before my senior prom. It was the weekend before prom and I was super excited but had a lot of prepping to do. I had my appointment a little later in the evening when there were just a few ladies left working but I was the only client. The nail technician who was working on me was talking with a coworker and accidentally cut my cuticles up to my skin and simply said "sorry" while she was still in another conversation and applied a blue liquid to stop my finger from gushing blood. It was still pretty gross and did not seem sanitary. I still have no idea what that was and for a week straight afterwards, the skin around my nail was swollen and there was pus, I had to peel the skin back just so it would heal. After that, many of the other employees came over and tried to encourage me to get a nicer manicure with more nail enhancements despite telling them I was happy with what I initially chose. I have gotten my nails done here a few times but this was the first time something like this had happened to me and I do not plan on going back any time soon. read more

I have always received semi-decent service at this place...until today. To make a long story short, the new girl didn't do any of the things that came with the service (massage, scrub, and applying lotion). My feet were incredibly dry and ashy. Then she applied the nail polish, and it seriously looked like my 10-year-old niece did it. There were streaks every where. She cut my thumb pretty badly. There was blood everywhere, including on her (glove-less) hands. She didn't stop to treat my finger, or to wash the blood off, or get me some kind of antibacterial ointment, or a band aid, or even to apologize. I had to tell her to get me something to stop the bleeding. When the nightmare was over, I asked the manager to speak to me outside. When I told him all of the issues I had and asked him to allow me to come back another day (I was rushing to work) to have my nail polish reapplied, he threw a temper tantrum. He never once apologized, and acted as though I was the one at fault. I have been loyal to this place for five years, and this is how the owner treats me? He finally agreed to let me come back for a reapplication of nail polish (with my own polish). By the way, I still had to pay the full price for the services. I am absolutely devastated about the fact that I will never see my usual nail girl (Andi) ever again. I should have just waited to schedule an appointment with her for another day, rather than taking a chance on a new girl. I'll miss you, Andi. read more
