This barber shop along the hustle & bustle of Solano Avenue is a CLASS ACT establishment with plenty of talent across the board. The customer service, vibrant atmosphere, friendliness, and professionalism is high end in every category. I happened to be in the area for work, and I needed a fresh clean-up cut for the weekend & new month! Upon browsing on the Booksy app looking for late appointments earlier that day, I took a risk in booking with Denyll at this barber shop! In addition, I was quite familiar with the area along Solano Avenue & I already knew where this shop would be located, and finding street parking seemed to easier than I thought LOL. I was running a few minutes late, and yet, the hospitality once I entered is felt right through & I was acknowledged by the barber with the chair in front of the door & given a warm welcome - and said that I had a 6pm appointment with Denyll. Once I sat in his chair, I knew I was going to get taken care of. I explained what I would want for my hair, and his expertise shows about the essence of being a barber that stands high, above and beyond that talent. His compassion, skills and experience as an amazing barber is FIRST CLASS! He is dedicated to making sure every individual person who takes a seat in his chair is treated with the upmost respect and V.I.P. level of service. His amazing personality, knowledge of the craft, and positive vibes makes the overall experience......professional, fun and positive. Not only he offers more than just a great haircut, he provides a genuinely relaxing and enjoyable experience. The conversation is always engaging, making the time fly by. It's evident that he is passionate about his work & values the connections he makes with his clients. He sure knows everything about what it takes to make them happy with every single effort he puts in to make them all walk out that door, feeling and looking like fresh, clean and confident V.I.P.s Highly recommend to get freshened up by Denyll or any of the other barbers! The environment was chill, good music, and one of the other barbers (I believe his name was Mo) even offered me a shot & chase! Such a good way to end the work week, and kick off to the new month. Took my 14 year old son to get his first barber shop haircut. He wanted a mid fade buzz cut. I was hesitant since he's always had longer hair, but it turned out great and he was right to choose it lol. Tito was great. He took his time and was very detailed oriented. The shop is clean, bright and friendly. His cut cost $60. We'll be back! read more

I got sick of having hair half-way down my back, so I went here to get rid of it. By the numbers: 1) This is the best haircut I've had ever. Really, I'm quite impressed with it. Thanks, Frank. 2) It's pricey. So, the hair cuts are $65 a pop, plus tip (real people tip appropriately, folks). True, the haircut I got was the best, still I have a hard time justifying to myself the expense. It is, afterall, just a haircut. I think by the time I finish arguing with myself about such an expenditure, my hair will be back down past my shoulders, so perhaps it'll all work out in the end. 3) Excellent customer service: Yep, this one's technically in Berkeley where you're just as likely for staff members to throw silverware on your table or tell you to fuck off just because, but these guys buck the tradition. Really. They're polite and courteous without overdoing it and humping your leg. 4) The shop skews younger: There's hip hop on the speakers and skateboards on the wall. Too, that haircut you've always had may have a more up-to-date name. My point: be ready to explain yourself to avoid miscommunications, and be patient. There you have it: awesome but pricey haircuts delivered by guys who are polite and courteous but may not be using terminology with which you're familiar. read more

Nice cut. Sixty five bucks though. No lather, shave, shampoo. Just a men's haircut done mostly with electric clippers. For $65. I'd give five stars if it cost $25 and four stars if it cost $40. Prices weren't posted anywhere. I felt like I got played. But it's my fault I didn't check the price before I went in. read more
