I've used Solano Windshield Repair twice now. Both times, have been brilliant experiences. The first time I used Solano Windshield Repair was at the beginning of the year - Ted was able to visit same day due to a cancellation, and he was full of information regarding the why's of his decisions on the windshield. Ted provided excellent future recommendations regarding glass chips, and information I have passed along to friends of mine. Most recently, I had another chip which had turned into a small crack horizontal to the lining of my windshield - which means it was hidden from my view until I was looking at the windshield (right above the VIN) from the outside of my car. I called Ted and he said he wouldn't be able to make it to my place of work the same day, but would schedule me in for the next available appointment the following day. Within an hour Ted had called me back and said he was able to work on my car there and then, he just needed me to unlock the car for him. I gave Ted a call to request a quote to repair a chip in my windshield. He was able to stop by on the same day because my house was on the way to his last appointment. Upon inspection of my windshield, he noticed that it had been repaired before. I have only owned the truck for 4 months, so that was a little surprising to me. He said the job looked pretty good, but that he would clean it up and put on a fresh coat of resin at no charge. This is the kind of company that will go the extra mile for a client, even when the situation doesn't warrant it. Ted initially offered to come to my house on Monday morning to do the repair, but then called on Sunday afternoon and asked if I was available to have it done that same day. This was great, as it saved me a lot of time and worked better with my schedule. Ted was very professional and knowledgeable. I've been using Ted to get my windshield repaired for over 4 years now. Ted is super professional, and stands by his work. I've had multiple chips over the years on multiple cars and when he comes out to fix a new one, he sometimes touches up some of the older ones (resin is not as tough as glass and does wear down over the years). He takes care of your insurance for you (if you are covered by comprehensive coverage) with a quick phone call (though now my insurance requires that I speak to them, it is still easy). I cannot speak more highly of his service, and best of all there is no appointment window. When he says 9am he is there right on time, none of this between the hours of 11am - 3pm crap that so many other business try and pull. Highly recommend! read more

Did not have to pay out of pocket as it was covered by my insurance. I didn't know that and was pleasantly surprised. I contacted Ted by phone to have the windshield on my Ford Explorer replaced. He came promptly, had the right windshield and put it in while I was having lunch. Looked great. A day or two later it rained and I saw that there was 1 ft diameter spot on the passenger side windshield that was not being cleaned by the wipers. I thought it might be my old wipers so I replaced the wipers over the weekend. Alas, that did not fix the problem. I called Ted, he came out the next day, examined the problem himself and promptly fixed it with an adjustment to the wiper mechanism. So, in my opinion, this is the way a business should behave when there is a problem. It is easy to make promises, but making good on the promise is the real test of a business. Amazing customer service! I had a chip in my windshield that needed to be repaired, I called at 3pm just to see if they had any appointments. I spoke with Ted who was an amazing help. He told me that they were booked for the day but would take my name down in case they finished early. He came by at 5:40pm to repair the windshield! Got the biggest chip and crack that I've had yet. Ted came out the same day I called, on time, and he called to confirm before arrival, and used equipment that I'd never seen the other companies use. When he was finished, I absolutely had no idea where the damage had been done. It totally disappeared! (Unlike the previous fixes from other companies.) Ken personally dealt with the insurance company via phone while I was there so that I didn't have to. No money out of pocket. Ted, definitely the go-to-guy for windshield repairs. AAA approved, fit me in the same day I called, took only 20 minutes in my garage and the windshield looks great. I can barely see the chip on the windshield of my brand new Honda CR-V. Much better than the other "big name" company who repaired a windshield chip on my other car. I happened across Ted from Solano Windshield Repair while he was working on another customer's car in a parking lot. I got his card and called him to schedule repairing three small rock chips on my Ford CMAX. We settled on a time where he would come to my home. He showed up EXACTLY on time and was incredibly efficient in performing the repairs, and very patient with me while I was juggling my two kids and looking for my insurance information. Ted even got on my phone with my insurance claims department and set up the claim so the deductible was waived and SWR would directly bill my insurance. No money out of pocket at all for me! He's a very pleasant person to talk to. Incredibly knowledgeable, and will explain exactly what he is doing and what to expect for the result. As a bonus he used to be an auto mechanic so he can handle some work other mobile windshield repair technicians cannot.
