HONEST and AWESOME WORK I haven't had a need for auto repair in a long time. I went websearching and Yelp reviewing and found this autobody site. Even though there was only 1 review which i can't see now. What caught my attention was Jared( the owne) business philosophy. I had work done on my 2 month old Honda CRV. Jared was professional, upfront and did exactly what he said and MORE. I am happy with my car and you can't tell that it was in a fender bender. We had work done on the left rear panel of our then 2 year old van. When we picked it up, we opened the left sliding door - attached to a panel that was worked on - and heard a loud grinding sound that was not there when we brought it in. Considering the door was removed (the track is on the rear panel) it seemed obvious that the work likely caused the issue, as it was not an issue when we brought it in. Jared instead asked me to pay for the additional door repair. I said I didn't think I should, since it wasn't like that when I brought it in. With a lobby full of customers, Jared turned and threw the broken part across the room. This was 9 years ago, but recent contact with Jared on social media after answering a recommendation for an honest body shop in Vacaville, shows he's still the same in terms of business ethics and professionalism. Jared also accused us of having a pre-existing issue with our door, though we showed him the paperwork from his shop that noted our van was in "excellent" condition on arrival. He said we canceled a check which makes no sense since our insurance paid for the repair. Credibility, integrity and responsibility- all absent. He was also upset that he gave us a discount on the deductible. Yes, he gave us a military discount before the work was done. Does this mean we don't speak up when you broke our door? My experience was the most unprofessional display I have ever seen in a business. His continued defense of this behavior, his bullying behavior on social media and business practice should be considered along with the other comments here. read more

After an unfortunate auto accident last year, my truck needed some serious work. This auto body repair establishment was listed as an approved body shop under repair shops that my insurance company listed as recommended. I have NEVER, EVER had such a HORRIBLE experience with an auto body shop like I did this one. The insurance company did what they all do, an appraisal, listed what parts were needed to make the repairs and passed that on to this shop. My truck was there for about 6 weeks. Yeah, that's right. 6 weeks. Not only that, but they had to sub out some of the work because it was work they could not do...(I found this out after the fact). The place they subbed it to was even worse than Exotic Auto body. There were obvious repairs that were needed that this body shop NEVER EVEN TOUCHED, but were paid for and were signed off as being taken care of by this body shop. I am still having to come out of pocket (what's the insurance for?) to fix my own truck a year later because these morons could not be honest about the repairs that could not be completed because they just wanted the insurance check. It makes me wonder what in the hell my truck was doing there for 6 weeks if over half of the items needing repair, were never even looked at. Multiple calls went unanswered by the so-called owner. And when I did get a hold of him to tell him I was not happy whatsoever, I was force fed a bunch of BS about how he would make it right. Over a year and a half later, I'm still waiting......Don't waste your time taking your vehicle to these careless people. You are better off having a child attempt to fix your vehicle. At least they would put in an honest effort. read more

These guys are fairly easy to work with. I had them repaint the rear bumper on my 20-year-old Honda Civic, and they did a great job. They're fairly old-school, so it's probably best to go in person (i.e., they may forget to call you back when they say they will). The only thing that was disappointing with their work was that I specifically masked off the VIN tag on the bumper so they wouldn't paint over it. (This is important in the Golden Era Honda used marketplace, as a fender/bumper without a VIN tag could be evidence of a prior accident.) I know I mentioned it to them when they were quoting me, but I guess they forgot (or something). It's probably one of those situations when you're talking to someone, but they are somewhere else in their head, and aren't actually listening to you. I do that with patients sometimes. Still, disappointing. If I had them do, say, my front bumper, I would just be annoying adamant that they *cannot* remove the masking and/or paint over the VIN tag. read more

Waited for owner to call back after I call almost everyday and left messages for a month but never return my calls. Stuck with a car with unfinished work. Really bad with communication. read more

This is the second repair I have had to have done this year at Exotic Autobody, and while I wish that I hadn't needed their service I am so grateful for the service that they provide. I have never actually had to have autobody work done in the past, and I was dreading the process of being without car and waiting. They honestly went above and beyond to make the experience seamless and painless for me and with two small kids and a busy schedule of activities I appreciate their efforts immensely. My first mistake was going to a shop out of my home town. Ultimately I drove to this shop 3 different days one to ask if they could help me with my window which was stuck down. The second visit I drove back they told me to swing by and they would get my window up while we wait for the part. They were so rude about the fact that I didn't have a ride & planned on waiting at the shop for my repair to be complete. Very hit & miss customer service. Didn't offer to let me sit inside & wait while the work was being done so I sat on the ground out front and froze until I flagged the first person I saw that worked there 30 mins later & asked if they can open the door for me to sit inside & wait. finally on the day of the actual repair they didn't really make me an appointment he just said bring it by, when I got there the front desk lady was asking if I had an appointment I said no I tried making one but the man said just bring it by. Seems like lack of communication between the owner and the front desk help. Major. they had my car all day for a maybe 2 hour job, called me close to the end of day & said they gave me the wrong price for the part that it would be almost triple the price then they told me. Oh yeah & they haven't even started the repair yet!! My advice? Beg for an appointment So they don't have your car there all day for a 1/2 hour job. They don't care about the customers work schedule or time , you are on their time and they will wait till the end of the day to finish your car. Good luck!! read more

Not amazing work. Left more to be desired for sure. If you need something very simple done they will do, but something more complex, like a pearl or custom color or stripes/graphics, you may want to look elsewhere...Even left my hood latch bolts loose which could've ended up being a safety issue had i not noticed them. I'll admit i'm picky and want stuff done right, but for the price i think the work should've been closer to meeting my standards. read more

Terrible. I went to pick our vehicle up for my parents after I got in an accident. No repairs were to be done. We were only looking for a quote on the damage. I told the man behind the desk what I as there for and he says, "Oh they sent the kid" yet he doesn't bother to ask my name or proof of who I am which is extremely disrespectful to me. He then tells me that my parents told him they wanted repairs and he put it in the storage place to be repaired later on when I am positive that my mother told him on many occasions that she is not giving permission to even touch it until she talked to my father. Bad experience overall. At least I was able to leave with our vehicle. read more

The worst!!! Stay away!!! I took my car in to get it painted, on Monday was told it would be done by Friday. No it wasn't, then was told by Tuesday No it wasn't, again on Thursday Still no it wasn't. Finally on Friday was told all ready come by to get my car, and there's puff marks all over the hood and one decal is missing.
