I have done business with SolarTidy for years. Chris gave me great service over several years. I am sorry that I have to share this negative report. In this past December, Chris told me that some business partner had ripped him off. He asked if I would prepay three cleanings for the price of tw0. I said yes. Having dealt with Chris for years, I paid for three cleanings and got one right away. After that, Chris went dark on me. I finally got ahold of him. He said he would clean my panels the next weekend. Chris, the owner, had a campaign a months ago for his "loyal" customers to prepay for a future cleaning at a discounted rate. Apparently he had no intention of ever delivering the service, as he shut down the company, and simply collected the money and ran. CAUTION ABOUT working with them if they ever return. DO NOT pay them anything up front, as they have a history of taking the money and running. I, like so many others, are now doing credit card fraud work to try to recover the money that was taken from us. I made an appointment Oct 2nd for Oct 23rd for solar panels and window washing. Here is the text message confirming the appointment: "I've got you on the schedule for Friday October 23, 8am-9am for solar panels and windows!" With less than 24Hr's notice they sent this message: "Hi David, it's xxxxx from SolarTidy! Updated ETA for tomorrow's appointment is 1-3pm" I text back questioning the dramatic change of time. They wrote: "There were additional appointments added to tomorrow, and we give ETA's based on mapped out routes, so it changed slightly. Sorry if there is any inconvenience in that and I do hope that explains the change of ETA." I said no it didn't explain why I was moved from 8-9 to 1-3! I based my work day around the original appoint. So he calls to tell me he didn't like the way I was texting.... really, how about keeping your appointments, or at least calling me to ask if I'm able to accommodate a new time! Very disappointed in Solar Tidy and their professionalism! I have been using Solar tidy regularly for a few years. This last time tools were left on my roof and found by my window cleaner. When solar tidy was out cleaning my panels, I inquired whether or not they could help me with my flag pole on the second story off balcony. They said they could. The flag pole holder was put in quite crooked and then they could not get screws out to remove, Chris yelled at me when it began to take longer than he planned. They left me with a crooked item that needed to be addressed. I got it done correctly, and then months later when I contacted them to clean my solar panels they would not respond. WOW!! I made an appointment with Solar Tidy after receiving a $25 off coupon via email. I immediately got a text saying an email would go out with confirmation and approximate time they would be arriving. I texted back asking for price (it was never listed) adding I was still waiting for a confirmation email. It was only the day of the appointment when I got a phone call that they were outside ready to clean my solar panels, yet I never received the confirmation email nor how much it would cost. I wanted to give them a second chance but they seem to be lacking in communication and follow up. Not a good look for them. read more

I used Solar Tidy for 5 years and left them a 5-star review. And though the last time they left their gloves on the roof and I asked them to remove it, but they did not. Whatever. I climbed on the roof and threw it away myself. What pissed me off though was this: I was trying to take pictures of my house and scheduled Solar Tidy 2 weeks in advance and double checked the date and time. Please do not use this business until he learns how to let his clients know when he is running late. He had scheduled an appointment with my husband between 10am and 12am, he then sent an email reminder that he'd show up between the hours of 10:30am and 11:30am. Well, by about 1:40pm, he showed up. My husband went out to meet them and told them he wanted to cancel due to them NOT notifying us about being late. I picked 3 stars because we had both the solar panels cleaned and our windows. 3 is the average. I'd give them 5 stars on the solar panels, but only 1 star on the windows. We've never ever had a window cleaner charge us for each pane of glass as a separate 'window' to jack up the bill and never ever had a window cleaner that didn't clean both sides of the window (inside and out). Perhaps your experience is different. In the future, I will have my solar panels cleaned by SolarTidy again. They did a fine job at a reasonable rate on the panels. As to the windows, next time I'll hire real professional window cleaners to do our windows. read more

I am not sure who I dealt with at Solartidy but they were very unprofessional. I hired them to clean my solar panels, which they did. I have no complaints about that work. I also hired them to clean my windows for $200.00 They did not show up when they were supposed to because they claimed their truck broke down. I had to reach out to them to get them to come back. When they finally came back they did not clean my windows. The service man claims he stepped in dog poop in my yard and was not going to clean my windows (We had just cleaned the dog poop 2 days ago). He left without doing the windows (He was only at my home for 10 minutes). I was home yet he didn't even have the courtesy to knock on my door and tell me he was leaving or ask me to alleviate a problem. He did not clean my windows and refused to return my money. He practically dared me to write a bad review in a series of nasty texts to me. I would steer clear of this company!! read more

We've had our solar panels for about five years and wondered how to clean them as they seemed quite dull, which I'm sure affected their power. We tried cleaning with a power washer but never from the roof. When I saw Solar Tidy's ad online, I thought I'd give them a try. They are wonderful. We had to reschedule the first appointment due to rain and the owner, Brian, was amazingly responsive. My panels and windows (yes, they do windows/screens too) were cleaned yesterday and they look fabulous. My windows haven't been this clean in years and I can't wait to see the power boost resulting from clean panels. I signed up to have them do this twice a year. We have used them twice to clean our 2nd story rooftop solar panels, in the past 2 years. The first time I was very happy, good job, very clean. The second time, also very clean, with a caveat.......Within months of the cleaning, the rains came. Small water stains in the second floor ceiling drywall, directly below the panels. I am NOT saying that Solar Tidy was directly responsible, but when I called them about it, they resisted calling me back, twice. Being bonded and insured, I was reasonably sure that they would be responsive to my concern. So my 3rd call to them was more aggressive, suggesting that I did not want to get into litigation on this issue, so please call me to discuss. The owner did finally call, and immediately became defensive, very agitated, stating that his livelihood was on the line, etc. and that he was 100% positive that he did not cause the issue. I was not sure who or what was at fault, but I gave him the opportunity to send someone out to check on where exactly and how the leak occurred. He declined, then threatened to counter-sue if I pressed the issue. I loath lawsuits, so I will do nothing. I will find and seal the leak myself. But just a warning: apparently being bonded and insured means nothing in the service business. Be aware! read more
