We had a number of solar panels installed by Solar Alive on our Scripps Ranch house along with a Tesla battery. It has operated flawlessly, including times when SDGE had emergency shutdowns. Solar Alive not only did a first-rate installation but later gave us immediate support for minor problems with the internet connection of our system (not really their problem). They also gave us a subscription to a program that gives you a refund if your system doesn't produce the power it was indicated for. Amazingly, this has nothing to do with the equipment but results from cloudy days! Installing these solar panels was something we should have done a long time ago and was one of the better decisions we've made as home owners. Our electric bill to SDGE has gone from more than $500/month pre-panels to $0. It's a mystery to me why every California homeowner hasn't gone to solar panels. I love Alive Solar, they are the ONLY solar company who would come out to see why my SDG&E bill is over $500 and I have 42 panels on my roof along with Tesla battery even though half the panels and system was installed by Sullivan Solar who is no longer in business. Jesus came out this morning and spent 40 minutes going over my electric bill and trying to understand why it's so high when I'm using my 2 ACs only on Off Peak hours. He went outside and had a look at the whole system including panels and realized the former owners (I got this place back in May) bought the cheapest panels available at only 150 Watt/panel rather than 200-300 Watt. I'll need to have another five 400 Watt panels installed to make it run efficiently because my house is 3400 sq ft and 2 stories, it needs the 2 HVAC to keep the place at a comfortable 68 degrees and maybe get some money back from SDG&E next year. The first time I called Alive Solar was after business hours 2 months ago and Adam Hill (owner) offered to bring me his portable AC because I was also having air duct flow issues which kept causing my Carrier to shut down to cool off (replaced entire duct system this week) and AC is working fine now. I couldn't be more impressed with Alive Solar! I took a day off work to meet with 5 different solar companies. That week I took the time to research each companies panels, warranty, work history, etc? I hate giving away my family time so I told everyone unless I had a ton of questions I only had an hour to meet. Adam was. It only respectful of that but did the most concise job explaining his product and the procedure. What makes them different: Every other company sent a salesman over who, though nice, lacked a lot of knowledge. Alive offered the best pricing even when compared to large companies like SunRun, SunPower, etc. They also offered a superior panel that's less affected by shadow cover (cloud, trees, etc). One benefit for my family was the financing options that allowed us to save upfront the 30% tax credit. I'll let Adam explain that part. Workmanship: I've got 3 kids that love to be in the mix. His crew was extremely courteous to them. One of the guys even helped my wife brining the trash cans up from the street which seems like a small thing but we just found out she's pregnant and nausea has been kicking her butt spits really appreciated. You can feel confident that this company will do everything possible to be sure that your job is done professionally and to perfection! The home we recently purchased had some older solar panels and the panels weren't able to be monitored. Since we are in somewhat of a fire zone where SDGE turns off power occasionally during fire season, I decided we should have more solar panels as well as a couple of Tesla Power walls. I talked with 3 companies and got recommendations and estimates from each. I spoke with Adam from Alive Solar first. I was wondering if there was a way to incorporate the old panels into the new system and monitor them as well. Adam said that wasn't a problem and suggested a way to replace the old inverter and use the older panels with the new inverter. The new solar panel arrangement was perfect. He was very knowledgable. But I needed to get other opinions. Next, I got a quote from another company (think "Costco"). What a disaster. The person on the phone said they couldn't integrate the old panels with the new and they would install the new system that would be totally separate. They seemed either uninformed or lazy. Also, the arrangement of the panels was totally haphazard. The last company gave a similar recommendation as Alive Solar. However, Alive gave me 2 extra panels at a slightly reduced price. The installation went pretty smoothly. The thing I noticed was that all of the installation crew were focused on being sure that I was totally satisfied with their work at all times. I heard "you're the boss" more than once and they weren't being sarcastic! Throughout the entire process, it always seemed like the advice I was given from Adam turned out to be accurate.
