2026 My family came back. This time it was for the BTS concert. Great place. Incredible view and location. The seats and area need some love. Some of the chair numbers were gone so people got lost looking for their seats. Bathrooms should be on ALL levels. Food was on one level and bathrooms were on another level. So odd. Plus, they need more elevators REALLY! Some bad designs. I feel sorry for the city of Chicago. Why? Because you lost so much money. You don't build business in the area of the stadium like, bars, clubs, restaurants, high class restaurants. You are losing so much business. How much? In Detroit, we do it all around our stadiums. Every event brings in 8-10 millions of income to the stadium area. Wow. Chicago does nothing. Those grass is doing nothing but give the homeless a place to hangout. Do better Chicago. This was a treat! After decades of watching games played in this stadium on television, and after decades of being a fan of "DA BEARS," I finally made it to Soldier Field. The only reason this place gets a 4 and not a 5 is because somebody stole my umbrella from security at the game. I honestly think it was someone from the "security" team because all the cheap umbrellas were right where they made us leave them when we showed up. Theft aside, this was a dope experience and I'll tell you why... 1.) "Green Bay SUCKS!" This was the beloved chant that rang out for the span on an entire mile as you walk the tunnels from the station to the stadium. When I tell you people screamed this with their entire chest! The best part? We were playing against Cleveland. Chicago just hates Green Bay that much. Respect. 2.) our seats were dope. Right in the end zone! I could absolutely see the players faces, and saw myself on the Jumbotron every time there was a touchdown; 3.) the fans. There's a lot of pride in Chicago wrapped up in this team, and everyone at the game who was a Bears fan was decked out in Bears gear. Even babies! 4.) the drinks are ridiculously overpriced, but you do get a cool souvenir cup to take home with you, so GET that $25 beer, you'll only barely regret it; 5.) the hot dogs. I finally got a hot dog at half time and was pleasantly surprised at how good it was for a ballpark dog: plump and juicy dog, soft pillowy bread, and there was even a little condiment station across the way with pump condiments and NOT packets. Who wants to deal with packets?!?? 6.) the song. I did not know that every time Chicago scores the crowd sings a special song. It was so cool. Grown men leapt to their feet EVERY TIME and sang their hearts out. The score was 34-10, so I had plenty of opportunities to see this happen, and it was lovely. Imagine singing with a bunch of strangers over a football game. Too cute. The stadium itself was like a mini-museum, so make the time to show up early and walk around to read all of the plaques, look at the statues, and get misty-eyed when you see little kids wearing a Dick Butkus jersey. Soldier Field isn't just some place where the Bears play, it's a cultural institution, and I'm grateful to have finally experienced it. And the city of Chicago is right...GREEN BAY SUCKS! read more

Being about to see BTS for the first time felt like a dream and turned into a beautiful memory. Love how organized soldiers field is with security and stage set up for the boys. Pick up was tough with no assistance other than signs and employees just keeping watch. Traffic was not handled well. Porta potties were really bad as there was multiple waiting for 1 when there was 3 in total, other two was locked up I do give props for the employees being nice to have fans stay in line over night for merch. no complaints. Drinks were tough as it was a shot in each cocktail that was 3% liquor and 97% juice. Not worth the money tbh read more

The performers I come to see are always good, however Soldier Field is one of the stadium that would benefit from crowd flow redesign amongst other things: - if you select a ride share for drop off or pick up, be prepared for long waits and surge fees. Parking at the venue will run you about 40-60$ and wait times of 60-90min to leave after the concert/event due to traffic. -be prepared to walk. Not very many places to park nearby and the stadium is through the park and museum so there is no way to really be dropped off right in front of the stadium. You will do some walking. -food: I went back twice and asked for new dishes because my pizza was burned and the pretzels were dry. When paying $11 and up for each item there should be better quality. - exiting is a mess and dangerous. The crowds are all directed towards just a few exit points. There no way to flow out and it instead becomes a pushing fest. Last night felt like being in a stampede as I reached the exit point I was literally pushed through the throng of people by the force of the crowd and I feared being pushed to the point of falling and being trampled. It is not because the crowd is aggressive, it is because so many people are being funneled through a few exits. read more

Amazing night not only for the perfect 72 degree temperature, ease of access from the ride-share drop off to the entrance, excellent views from the club seats, nearby restrooms with short lines if you timed it right but all in all the best venue to hold over 60K Foo Fighters fans to see Dave Grohl capture everyone's attention for three hours! Unfortunately we missed all but the last song for Queens Of The Stone Age because of another event we had that afternoon. The sound was amazing and I could hear every word clearly which is rare for an outdoor concert. The negative is the agonizingly slow exit. Went for BTS 2026. Getting into the arena was super weird.. we had seats in section 240 , and wasn't allowed up the escalator. The woman directed us into section 100 instead, making us walk through slow crowds and wasting a lot of time. I may just be uninformed on how things work here, but was frustrating in the moment. Been here for Chicago Bears games but not a concert. We attended the Bruno Mars concert and it was fun the concession prices and getting out of the stadium is a nightmare. I would not recommend going to a concert here, especially seating in the 300 and 400 levels. It was the worst experience trying to get down to the lower levels to exit. I swear getting seemed like it too longer than the concert itself. I wish they had people directing fans to the exits. If you get stuck in a spot where it doesn't lead you to the ramps, then you have to funnel through a 10 foot wide opening. Lastly, the concession prices are CRAZY. Overall Bruno put on an unforgettable show but Soldier Field and the logistics can be better. read more

I really enjoyed my first visit to this stadium to watch a Chicago Fire soccer game. Every seat seems like a good view. Really fun ambiance. Lots of fire effects and good music. The concessions were delicious too. Mr. Beef sandwiches were excellent. Serious security. They went through my clear bag thoroughly twice and scanned me with their wand. I love the location. I took a nice walk along Lake Michigan afterwards. I look forward to attending more events here. read more

This August I attended both a Bears preseason game and the My Chemical Romance concert, and I enjoyed myself thoroughly at both events. That said, I have some takeaways and lessons learned. First off, security was a breeze for both events. I got to the game at least an hour before kickoff and didn't have to slow my pace to basically walk through the magnetometers. I know, depending on when you arrive, depending on how the team is doing, who the opponent is, and how the weather is would all affect this, but I wouldn't expect terrible lines unless you plan poorly. I arrived to the concert while the opener was playing and similarly walked in with ease. (If you're the type to rush for merch, maybe you'll fight a crowd, but hey, they were selling merch outside of the venue as well as inside). I'm sure it's been said before, but get yourself a clear bag if you need to pack something in (sunscreen, a sweatshirt, hand sani). And just play it cool and positive! The one moment I got stopped was when a security staffer wanted to know where they could get a coat like the one my girlfriend was wearing (basement of Macy's, you can find steals and deals). Food and drink is going to be at a premium price for less than premium quality, but anytime you're in a stadium of any kind, you're experiencing something! The buzz, the excitement, that elevated existence comes with elevated prices. There are traditional counter service vendors, the walking vendors, and various self-service areas. Just know that whatever drink you buy, they will open it or make you open it immediately. If it's a bottle, you have to toss the cap out. (I'm sure this is to reduce the chance of something being thrown, and if something IS thrown, then the damage it causes is reduced to mostly wet people as opposed to potential head injuries). With seats on the field for the concert, this went one step further and bottled beverages had to be poured into open cups. Lesson learned however: BRING IN A SODA BOTTLE CAP OF YOUR OWN! That way you can fill up with water and not worry about spilling all over yourself. Facilities were as clean as expected, vendors were all friendly. The worst part of both experiences is a common knock on Soldier Field and a common knock on many concerts/sporting events: getting out. At least at a game, people may toss the towel and dip out early, but at a concert, everyone is going to hang on until it's clear no more music is coming. And then that mass of humanity has to shuffle out in a smooth and orderly fashion. As if. Getting out after the My Chem show, there was a shocking volume of bodies all moving in the same direction even outside of the stadium (I may have climbed a wall and hopped a railing to pass a bottleneck...), and even a mile out, there were still pockets of us ambling about. So maybe those parking passes might be worth it? read more

I've seen Bp in a hockey rink, an NBA arena, and now a football stadium. I suspect the next Blackpink tour will be in space. Any who, let's talk about Soldier Field. I was excited to see Blackpink again, but I was also excited to check out Soldier Field. It's not a place I've been or a place I'll ever go since I'm not a Bears fan. (Steelers for life). When it comes to NFL stadiums, I've been to a few(Indy, Cincinnati, Nashville, Pittsburgh, Detroit). And now Chicago... and it's probably for the best that they're moving to a new stadium sooner rather than later. It's fine, and I'm sure it serves its purpose well, but you can definitely tell it's dated. That old feel does add a certain historic charm to the place, but in this situation, I'm not jaded by that history. To be one of the major markets in the US, and sit right next to the city and Lake Michigan, you would expect magnificent. You can't even get to the place easily. It's a bit over a mile walk from the train, even. That part wasn't a huge deal because we walked in, but even the parking seemed lacking. Security seemed to be all over the place. One thing to note if you're visiting for a concert. Check their bag policy. They're super strict and won't let you in. They'll send you around to the lockers, which are south of the stadium. If you're entering on the north side and have to utilize the lockers, you're going to be walking an extra 2 miles before you make it into the venue. Another oddity for us was that they had part of the concourse closed. So walking in... we could've been in our seats in 5 minutes. Instead, we had to walk around the concourse to the other side(about 15 minutes) before we reached our section. Aside from that, the self-checkout concessions were awesome. The place was clean, and the staff was ready to answer any questions and direct you if needed. I'd likely attend another concert here, but if the touring act visits another city or venue in proximity, I'd opt for the other venue/city. read more

MISTAKE BY THE LAKE, PART 2 As much as I love Chicago and da Bears, their move to Arlington Heights can't happen soon enough. My wife and I saw AC/DC perform at Soldier Field on Memorial Day weekend, and it was a lot of fun. Though she'd never been here before, this was my fourth time (Bears preseason game, Guns N Roses concert, Spring Awakening 2014) and it was everything I had come to expect. First off, a seating capacity of only 61,000 people is woefully inadequate when talking about one of the largest media markets in the country. As a matter of fact, Chicago's very own Soldier Field is now that SMALLEST stadium in the NFL! No wonder fans can hardly attend games -- demand is so high and supply so meager. The stadium is incredibly easy to find yet almost impossible to get to, unless you live on a boat in Lake Michigan. The nearest CTA stop is Roosevelt, more than a mile from Soldier Field and a 20 minute walk. Your other option is to pay upwards of $50 to park nearby, or (maybe) have an Uber drop you off. There was a heavy security presence and entry to the concert was fairly smooth. However, exiting the stadium was a total nightmare. A massive pedestrian bottleneck formed trying to cross over the Metra tracks, and it must've taken us 15 minutes JUST to get onto the ramp. After that, it was another 15-20 minute walk to our car in drizzling rain. Don't even get me started on the douchebag vendor. Despite advertising Blue Moon in 16oz cans, the first beer vendor we encountered said "nah we don't sell that", okay we'll settle for a Coors Light then. When we added a (conventional) tip of $1/beer he sarcastically shouted "ooohhh BIG tippers here, we got some BIIIIIIG tippers tonight!" Like are you fucking kidding me dude?? How about NO TIP next time with that scornful attitude. Never in my life have I seen such rudeness from a stadium employee. * TL;DR * Review updates aren't usually my bag, I just had to vent about what I consider one of the WORST stadiums I've ever been to (probably 19th out of 19). Worst facilities, worst vendors, worst logistics to get in/out, worst exposure to the elements, and definitely worst aesthetics. Plopping a glass and steel monstrosity on top of a revered historical structure was colossally stupid. Some people think the U.F.O looks cool, but I think it looks hideous, a blight on an otherwise beautiful lakefront landscape. Tear down the modern garbage, leave the original WW2 structure and turn Soldier Field into a museum or something. The people of Chicago deserve better than this. read more

I have only attended soldier field for concerts. To be very specific only for Beyoncé concerts. I love that this facility is off the lake and you get the massive views of downtown. I really want to attend a sporting event here and will be really bummed if Da Bear leave. This field is really a historic treasure. It is one of the oldest stadiums in the country and I really do need to get back to see additional events here. As mentioned on both occasions, I was here to see Beyoncé, once for Renaissance and lastly for cowboy Carter. Each time I sat on completely opposite sides of the field. The first time I was in the lower 400s which was kind of far, but would probably be decent for a football game. The second time I sat at the club level in section 316 and that was really nice. I thought we had a little bit more room over there and also it was nice having an easier access to the concession stands. I will also say it was a lot easier getting out from the 300 level as opposed to the 400 level just because of where they were located for the club seats. All in all, this is a super nice stadium but getting here is semi hard because it's a good mile walk from CTA train and then also just getting through the park is somewhat an obstacle, especially if there's a festival being set up. There are plenty of bicycle taxis that will take your money and get you there so you could always use that option. On both occasions that I went traffic was really closed down and you're only option. Was the bicycle or your feet. I will also note that they do have those rent a bikes that are nearby the stadium so you could also ride one of those into there. just no guarantee that a bike is going to be available after your event is Over read more

This venue was the destination that kicked off my friend and I's Chicago trip planning - we got to see Blackpink live! Both of us aren't die-hard BLINKs, but the chance to see them in person (and reunite after a while) was too good to pass up. Our original LA concert plans flopped (I was ready to pull every connection card I had), but Chicago became our perfect Plan B. Location: Right off Lake Shore Dr, this place screamed "Roman Coliseum vibe" - towering, massive, and definitely built for spectacle. Getting there: Unless you live in South Loop, this is a "wear comfortable shoes and thank yourself later" situation. My friend and I stayed at an Airbnb nearby... and we still clocked a solid 30-45 minute walk. As for parking? Unless you like traffic jams... Atmosphere: Electric, lively, and loud - pure ddu-du ddu-du energy. Even as casual fans, we were swept in a magical sea of pink light sticks and buzzing excitement. The visuals and audio were crisp - no "tiny ant" stage views here. The fireworks synced to certain songs? Incredible. Merch: An hour-long wait (aka more standing), but worth it - I fulfilled my K-pop dream of purchasing a light stick that doubles as an emergency flashlight. Food/drinks: Didn't try any, but the stands looked like your classic stadium fare: beer, hot dogs, burgers. Nothing Blackpink-themed or unique. Service: The only "interaction" was a lightning-fast ticket scan, and we were in. Price: Technically "free" after paying for your tickets (so... not free, but let's pretend). Would I return? If the stars align and I find myself in Chicago again with another must-see artist on the lineup who's performing at this stadium? Sure thing. read more

Parking is terrible, traffic patterns are terrible, but Bears fans deal with it because we are loyal to a fault. The team and fans deserve something better. I wish it could be at SF, but the upgrades make it all right are not feasible. I think it can still work as a venue for smaller events, and other types of things, but as a large scale venue, its days are over. read more

The concert experience was amazing. I am not reviewing that at all. I went to see Bruno Mars and paid a very high price for my ticket. I was sitting far right of the stage in the 4th row. If it wasn't for the screen being close, I didn't have a close view of the stage. I was really disappointed. The chairs were zip tied together. If you moved one, they all moved. Maybe I am getting too old but paying so much for a ticket and not being able to see the performance clearly is a let down. All I can say is thank goodness for the screen. read more

I came here for the Beyoncé cowboy Carter concert. I loved the fact that parking was easy and attached to the stadium which saved us from a ton of walking. Getting in was easy and no fuss at all. The venue was PACKED! I mean, not that I was surprised, I mean we are talking about thee Beyoncé....... This was the opening show in Chicago and boy did the Beyhive show up and showed out. That being said, they could have worked on organization a bit more. With so many people in one place it was really hot. The ac should had been on Antarctica! People were on top of each other because it was storming out, but we survived. I really wish they would have had a SirDavis setup like they did in LA. But, they had many bars and food available for purchase. Despite it being really packed, the restrooms were clean and well maintained. It was a nightmare trying to find our seats, the crowd was just too big. It would have helped if there were staff directing the people traffic. The seats are extremely uncomfortable and tight. But, it was all worth it! Beyoncé put on a phenomenal show, and I'd do it all over again! Soldier Field is an open stadium so keep that in mind. My only gripe about this place is that it is VERY hard to get an uber home. There should be designated uber pick up areas like the airport. Other than that, it's a great venue. read more

I saw Beyonce here last night! The weather was crazy with thunderstorms and tornado warnings, but they still put on a show thanks to the hard working team here. We were ushered in to take our seats at around 9:30 (when the show was supposed to start at 7). They managed to get the stage and all of the equipment dried off and it was showtime just after 10pm. All the employees I encountered (concessions, security, etc) were so, so nice -- especially considering the show started when it was supposed to end, so they had a really late night! I love that the stadium is right in the heart of the city and along the lake -- it's such a magical spot! Our seats were up pretty high and didn't have the best views, but we still had the most special night. read more

I returned to a sold-out Soldier Field to see AC/DC's return to North America touring after a long 9 year hiatus. The concert itself was a blast and it was a real treat to see Rock and Roll Hall of Famers Angus Young and Brian Johnson perform many of their greatest hits before calling it quits. My main review comments here are about Soldier Field as a concert venue though. Probably the best thing about Soldier Field as a concert venue is that the sound quality is excellent, especially for such a large outdoor venue. The rest are negatives and relate to how large the venue is as it can hold about 70,000 people for a concert. Many of the seats are pretty far away from the stage especially if the stage is located at one end of the football field. Thus, many folks have to rely on the quality of a band's video screen setup to see much of anything. I also saw U2 here back in 2009 and 2011 and they had a great visual and video screen setup and the stage was located more in the center of Soldier Field. AC/DC did not have as good a video screen and visual setup as U2 I would say, and that took a bit away from the concert. We sat in section 441 row 9, so it wasn't very far away relative to many other seats, but it was still not particularly close and with a partially obstructed view (but I knew that with the ticket purchase). I thought the video screen setup might help compensate, but the coverage wasn't as good as I had hoped. Anyway, for a venue as big as Soldier Field, the concert quality will depend on how the band sets itself up, and I'll count that as a knock against SF. Also I would hate to be on the flat and huge "main floor" in folding chairs when the stage is at one end of the football field. I don't see how those expensive seats could be worth it at Soldier Field with the distance and poor viewing angle involved. The other knock I found from leaving section 441, was that the crowd was at a standstill for a long while as we exited. It turns out a huge number of people in the 400 sections were trying to channel through a couple of narrow staircases to get down to the 200 level. We went backwards and around after losing patience and found a much more open route through a much wider staircase that exists at both the north and south ends of SF and then exited the stadium down stairs instead of a ramp. Soldier Field does not have a very good layout for leaving, at least for some sections, and we just got lucky and saved ourselves maybe 20-30 minutes. Washroom access was fine during the concert. As far as parking, I say just use SpotHero and walk a mile or so. There's no way to see anything at Soldier Field and not have to walk a bit, and I wouldn't recommend parking anywhere close to Soldier Field due to both cost and congestion. Overall, I'd say about 3 stars for Soldier Field as a concert venue with most of the credit going for sound quality and possibly a good sightline depending on your seat location. read more

Negative 10 out of 10! Came here for a concert and was SO LATE due to the traffic to the stadium. It is a terrible set up getting there. But that has nothing on what it takes to get out! I went to a sold out Kendrick Lamar concert, and leaving was a NIGHTMARE. There were herds of people going in every which direction, and there were no directions that I could see at all about where to go. Once we made a decision on a where to head, we came to a bottleneck. Dozens of hundreds of folks were in a standstill to walk on a ramp. As we got closer to the ramp, people began to push. I was actually prepared for it to become a Travis Scott stampede. The exiting process is not safe and needs restructuring. Otherwise, it is only a matter of time before something serious happens. read more

Daaaaa Bears! Sure there are concerts and other stuff at Soldier Field, but it's all about Da Bears! I have been to many games over the years... and have attended a game the last two years in a row now - both in the United Club. Great seats, terrific view, shorter lines (for bathrooms, food, and drinks), and some Bears wins! Parking is about the only complaint I could have, as it is a bit of a mess... but lucky for me, I did not drive for either game... so I just got to relax and enjoy the city, lake, and stadium views! *****FIVE STARS***** read more

I recently came to Soldier Field for the first time for a concert. I want to specify that I came here in the spring so the weather wasn't freezing. I thought it was an overall decent stadium. A lot of the stadium is open, but there are some covered areas as well. The only reason why I docked a star is because the ride share situation was very confusing. You have to walk pretty far away from the stadium to catch an Uber or Lyft. I understand why because of traffic flow, but signage to get to the ride share area could be a little better. read more

I had a blast! I saw The Weeknd show and it was phenomenal. It was a solo date and I felt safe, comfortable and ecstatic watching the entire show. Shout out to the production team and Abel's gorgeous voice. This was my first concert at Soldier Field and it was an awesome outdoor show! The bathrooms were clean and monitored. Wasn't interested in the food however the margarita man was very enticing. I look forward to my next show! read more

One of the oldest NFL stadiums so have to accept that if you are comparing it to Levi stadium in Santa Clara or any newer build this isn't it. Pros are good food. Solid polish dogs. Decent bathrooms. Cons are no dome and plan to take at least an hour to park and walk or if you get lucky grab a space in the Waldron deck but it will still be 30 minutes in and out with traffic. The bag policy is strict but that is normal for most big venues in US. Three stars mostly bc no dome in 2025 is wild but I can't hate on it .. if you are from Chicago this is our lakeside staple. Have seen the Bears, Kanye, Beyoncé here and those memories are priceless. read more

This was my first time this was my second time attending for a concert. I would say you should park if you would intend to go to soldier Field because if you don't, you will be walking for miles. Everything was nice and clean. The attendance took care of us I attended for the Beyoncé concert. I believe everything ran smoothly and service was great. On this day I came for a concert. It was my first time at Soldier Field inside, I've used their parking on occasion when visiting the museums or beach near by. Now I do have to say that I was not the person who purchased the tickets and so I didn't get to choose the spot where we sat, but we were on the field which was covered with a hard flooring to protect the grass area. The chairs were zipped tied together very close and didn't give much room for people to get in and out of the rows. That was my main issue due to I almost fell backwards letting someone pass & feel that it wasn't very safe if there was some type of emergency. Stoked I got to visit this place before it is replaced The only Bears home game I've ever seen was an embarrassing loss to the Rams at the Los Angeles Coliseum back in 2019. This review is based off seeing Metallica for two nights The food isn't horrible much to my surprise. Wish they had nachos that were not BBQ themed but the meat was shockingly good for a stadium. Same with the sausage I had the following night. The water policy here is stupid. Thankfully security isn't smooth and I snuck my own bottle of water in. Place also needs more restrooms But the sound for a concert was actually really good. The stadium manages to feel both big and small which is cool. The seats are comfortable and having walked around a bit it feels as if the views are good from all over Staff was all super friendly as well read more
