We booked…read morewhat was advertised as a private townhouse with direct beach access -- instead, we got a hotel unit inside a huge building (Castle Beach Club) with no privacy and unsafe access to the beach. The unit was dirty and falling apart: broken furniture, damaged outlets, cracked tiles, rust, and a roach infestation. On one evening, water started leaking all over the patio from the roof. Outdoor furniture was unsafe to use, and there was no dishwasher as promised in the listing. Communication with Blu was awful, slow, dismissive, and unhelpful. They took no real action to fix anything. The check-in experience at the building was also terrible: rude staff, long lines, and disorganized valet parking. This company is misleading guests with false descriptions and poor maintenance. Definitely not family-friendly or worth the price. Avoid Blu Vacation Rentals if you care about safety and cleanliness.

But most importantly the door to get in and out of the house was broken- a major safety issue. There was mold all throughout the unit and even what looked like a decaying rodent. They very clearly do not maintain their units.

I hate when I leave anything less than 5 stars but sadly I do have to give this place a 1 star. The…read morepool area felt overly strict, with a long list of rules, and the security guard on duty was constantly yelling at guests--kids, parents, pretty much everyone. Her approach came off very disrespectful, and overall the staff was not friendly or helpful. Valet was another major issue--it took about 45 minutes both to get in and to leave, so plan way ahead if you're staying here. That said, I did enjoy the beach access from the hotel, although you do have to wear an orange wristband to re-enter. Also, I wouldn't recommend using DoorDash here--there are very limited options in the area, and you'll likely end up waiting a long time or needing a refund. There are some positives, like the on-site shops and the Russian bath, which was a cool experience. However, the overall stay was disappointing due to the lack of hospitality. The one standout was the valet driver, Hernan. He was incredibly helpful, quick, and professional--truly the only staff member who made a positive impression. He deserves recognition for how much he carried the valet experience.

Cabinets are fully stocked with pots, casserole dishes, plates, glasses, bowls and condiments. Other than being directly ocean front this hotel offers nothing good. I can't even say we were able…read moreto enjoy the ocean view since the windows leaked and there was mold. We booked a "fully renovated" suite as per the description. What we were given was NOT that. There wasn't even a fresh coat of paint, so I have no idea what their definition of "fully renovated" means. We ended up getting room 1725. From check-in to check-out this entire stay was nothing but stress filled chaos. Driving into the place the line was into the very busy street. The valet parking is an absolute joke. The wait is obnoxious, whether it's due to lack of employees or their system, I have no idea. I just know it shouldn't have taken over an hour to check in and nearly 2 hours to check out. Be prepared to carry all of your luggage up 2 flight of stairs because you're not allowed to take luggage carts outside. Speaking of luggage carts, if you even want to use one be prepared to hand over your ID or they won't allow you usage. Also, if you're handicapped, this is not the place for you. I have a fractured spine due to a cancerous tumor and use a motorized wheelchair. My son had to track down an employee to ask how I was supposed to get in the building (again, 2 flights of stairs leading up to the entrance). He had to go inside and track down another employee who eventually had to open up a pool gate all the way down the hill to let me in, which then lead me to having to take an elevator to the lobby. Speaking of elevators.... If you need to be somewhere at 11am.. you better start leaving your room and waiting for an elevator no later than 9:30am. You will wait up to an hour for an elevator to come to you that isn't full that you can fit in. Forget if you are handicapped. You may wait longer since you can't just "squeeze" in. The room itself was disgusting to put it simply. Some outlets had no covers, there was mold, the window leaked when it rained, the plumbing was letting out a noise that I could only describe as a disgruntled pig squeal. This squeal was all day and night, maybe every 15 minutes or so. I haven't seen a toilet so old since the 80's. The tub was gross. The floor tiles weren't even cut properly. There was nothing comfortable about this room. There was nothing renovated in this room. The hotel expects you to wear a blue "bracelet" that resembles an amusement park bracelet during your entire stay. Talk about a fashion statement. The gate to get back to the hotel from the beach has a lock code on it that we were never given the code to, so the first time we used it we had to wait outside the gate until someone came and opened it for us to enter again. I was completely disgusted with our stay and I can only feel that we wasted our money on a fully renovated ocean front suite and ended up with a mold-infested room with faulty plumbing, probably because it hasn't been updated since the 80's or earlier. Our hard earned money wasted on a vacation that felt nothing like a vacation due to the stress and chaos this hotel provided. If I could rate it zero or even negative, I would. Save your money. There has got to be better options for you and your family.

My gf and I stopped through here on our way out before boarding our flights later in the afternoon. If you're toting your luggage and not a hotel guest, you will have to find another hotel to store your luggage while enjoying this most decadent brunch experience. Luckily we arrived early enough to our reservations to sort that out. Reservations are a must if you don't want to wait. The restaurant is gorgeous with various spaces designed differently but keeps to the exotic Asian theme. Dining in the atrium near the water feature in the middle with stage for the musicians is where we had our experience. Olga was our server. She brought us our special beverages not available at the bar: Bloody Mary's and endless bubbly in our glasses The offerings here are more than I can name, but there is something to satisfy every craving. The favorite for me is the caviar bar. It comes with all the proper fixings on a blini with Crème fraîche. Do you need a vodka shot to go with? Yes, that's also available also at the caviar station. Fresh raw oysters, clams or shrimp cocktail is available in abundance with everything else here. The ceviche was great. I passed on all the various noodles but had to have some lamb curry and basmati rice- delicious! I had some Peking Duck and leg of lamb at the meat station. The filet mignon and lamb chops was ordered and brought to the table. The leg of lamb and filet were slightly dry but still good. The lamb chops with chimichurri sauce was amazing- nuances of vibrant flavors. Assorted fresh fruits were a colorful collection of enticements. I saw some papaya and enjoyed its fresh, sweet juiciness. I am not a dessert person but had to try the key like pie. Then of course, the matcha dessert is a sitting temptation next to the pie. So, my dessert spoils were more than intended. What the hell right? Lol That was the sweet ending to my Setai brunch. There was so much more such as bread, fried stuff, eggs, bagel station, toast etc. One can only eat so much. I stuck to enjoying my favorites. The experience is pricey but so worth it. It is truly the best brunch experience I've ever had. - better than Vegas and a cruise ship!! I always have to experience a Setai brunch whenever in Miami!

You must walk through the lobby and across the outside area. The sauna and the one person steam shower is located here. You Check-in then you get changed into the robe and walk across the lobby check-in area to the elevators. You are walking through the area with all the guests and their luggage in your super large robe that doesn't close very well. I did not enjoy this. Some disappointing things which was not their fault is the parking garage construction noise even on Sundays. The noise took away from my spa experience. They did nothing for the noise control. Also, the SPA requests you must arrive 30 minutes before your treatment time. I got my parking validated BUT we stayed for brunch who also validated our parking but we went over the 4 hours so we got no discount for parking and we were charged the full $35 fee plus tip for the valet. The valet staff was quite nasty telling me we were there too long for the discount BUT each one of those alone qualified for a discounted valet. You can not do both in the 4 hour window.

While I was in full-on panic mode, a friend recommended I contact Luxury Rentals Miami Beach. She explained that going through Luxury Rentals might be easier and more cost effective than booking through the hotel or on one of the many "discount" sites online. Boy, was she right! Making the reservation through Luxury Rentals was easy breezy. The morning of check-in we were greeted in the lobby by a member of their staff who facilitated the process and took care of all of my concerns directly with the hotel.
