We have lived in our house for almost 9 years. I have neglected our asphalt driveway. I know better…read morebut I didn't want to have to deal with it. It has a large crack in the middle and it is starting to alligator in some spots. I watched a few videos on how to seal my own driveway and it seemed pretty easy. I priced out what it would cost with materials and of course my time is free. Before I did I wanted an estimate to see how much I would save. I emailed Doctor Asphalt on their website and waited for a response. Jake replied to me the next day. I was really surprised. I didn't even check that email account for a couple of days because I didn't think he would respond so fast. He asked me a couple of questions and I responded. Again he replied right away and I didn't check the account for a couple of days. When I did reply again he said he could do it right away and had an estimate waiting in my inbox. Boy was I surprised by the dollar amount. It was only $100 more than I could do it myself. I was skeptical but I thought what is the worst that could happen. I set up the appointment on a Monday afternoon. When I got home from work my driveway was done and it looked beautiful. All the patching was done and crack filler in place. The sealer was a nice even coat with no thin spots. I was totally impressed. Jake's team filled all the cracks and he did an extra good job where the asphalt meets the concrete at the garage. He knew I had issues there but I didn't want to pay for extra asphalt right now to fix it because I have a concrete step that needs to be fixed first. He put in extra crack filler and evened it out so it looked good and sealed the crack between the driveway and my garage. Now the ants and bees can't make a home under my garage. I know you can drive on it in 36 hours but I decided to wait 3 days. Boy am I glad I did. We have driven on it for two weeks now and it still looks new. My whole experience with Jake has been great. My only regret is I didn't meet him in person. Our entire interaction was over email. We never even talked on the phone. I highly recommend Doctor Asphalt. As I wrote earlier, my time is free. Jake showed me that my time is precious. What took Jake a couple of hours would have taken me all day and I would have had soar muscles and back.
