I had already completed all my basic information on the iPad, which should have made the identity check quick and simple--just like my friend's session, which took only a minute with basic questions about name, DOB, and allergies. Instead, the virtual nurse I spoke with acted as if she were a doctor, asked the exact same question over 5 times, and repeatedly pressed for details I clearly expressed hesitation to share. To make matters worse, when she noticed my uncomfortable response, she actually giggled and seemed to enjoy it. Her behavior was extremely rude, unprofessional, and frankly bizarre. It was so bad that I genuinely wondered if I was being intentionally mocked or racially discriminated against. I couldn't believe someone could act this way in a healthcare setting. Because of this specific telehealth nurse, I woke up this morning still feeling deeply upset. As long as there is a risk of being matched with her again, I will never return to this place, nor will I recommend it to anyone else.

During his visit, his condition deteriorated rapidly. He became pale, began sweating profusely, appeared disoriented, and nearly lost consciousness. His condition became serious enough that I called 911, and he was transported by ambulance to the emergency room for evaluation and treatment. As a result, our family incurred more than $1,400 in emergency medical bills, in addition to other expenses. Since then, I have attempted to resolve this matter professionally. I sent certified correspondence requesting reimbursement or, at a minimum, the contact information for Ashara's professional liability insurance carrier so the claim could be handled appropriately. I also requested copies of the medical records and other relevant documentation. Despite these efforts, I have received no response. I understand that unexpected medical events can occur, but what has been most disappointing is the complete lack of communication afterward. Ignoring a patient's family after such a serious incident does not reflect the level of professionalism or accountability I expected. I hope Ashara Health & Wellness will choose to respond and work toward resolving this matter.

Referrals were submitted appropriately with the exception of one of them.However, when it came to maintaining an established and effective treatment plan, I encountered resistance. Despite the medication being previously approved by insurance and clinically effective, I was told I no longer qualified based on current lab values. This overlooks the fact that the improved labs are a direct result of the treatment itself. Discontinuing or blocking access under these circumstances disrupts continuity of care. Additionally, there were concerning communications indicating uncertainty about how the treatment was approved in the first place, which was inappropriate and not patient-centered. I also experienced delays due to authorization errors that required correction. Once identified, the necessary updates were not completed within the expected timeframe, further delaying care. I understand providers are managing heavy workloads and administrative burdens. However, prior authorizations and continuity of care are part of the treatment process. Patients should not have to repeatedly advocate for access to a therapy that is already working. I would strongly encourage clearer communication, accurate handling of authorizations, and a more consistent commitment to maintaining effective treatment plans.
