I can confirm these classes are extremely challenging and somehow never get easier, but it's a great workout and totally worth it. While visiting my beautiful city, I wanted to give Solidcore a shot since I've heard amazing things. It was my first time doing pilates and boy was it intense. I was greeted by my instructor Lauren. She was greet and constantly encouraged me throughout my struggles. She's patient and demonstrate the moves when I had difficulty hearing her. I triggered areas that have been neglected. This workout was a huge challenge for me BUT I will absolutely visit this location next time I'm home. It's a clean and comfortable environment. I give this location an A. I'm sitting writing this with soreness in my butt, arms and abs. The kind of soreness that says "No but yess daddy, again." I went to a community class at this studio yesterday, on their first day of reopening after the pandemic. Masks are required to come into the studio; make sure to check the confirmation email they send you for a front door code. Parking in the garage at Aventura Parksquare is free for the first hour. Each class has the capacity for 11 people, like it always has. You can book classes on MINDBODY or Classpass. They have flipped half the machines (or sweatlana, as they call it) so that each one is facing in the opposite direction from the one right next to it. This means each person next to you is facing the other way on movements. If you want to look at others to figure out the movements, you need to look at someone two spots down from you. Also, bring and wear some grippy socks for hygienic purposes. They don't get on your case if you go barefoot, but do you want to be walking barefoot around where other feet and shoes have been? The workout remains one of the toughest you can find in studio gyms. You could, as an example, start with a core warmup (the hardest part in my mind) with plank variations, oblique work and crunches, work gluteals and hamstrings with a spring band, loaded squats and lunges, and finish with upper body work of bicep curls, front raises and chest flys with the spring loaded cables. They still provide a towel per machine, which I'm thankful for since many other gyms are requiring clients to bring their own towels. The instructor can't touch you anymore for adjustments on positions but pays closer attention to each person in the class, calling out names to cheer everyone on. They give you wipes to clean the machines before and after the class and encourage you to sanitize your hands after the class (sanitizer and hand soap in the bathrooms are stocked). I felt super challenged and very safe. Once I forget the soreness, I'll surely be back! read more

Took my 3rd class at this location yesterday and decided to bring a friend who's never taken a class before nor Pilates! Hate to be this person but what a terrible experience for my guest & I. The instructor was pretty harsh on my guest for not really knowing how to move around the machine and just first time problems that anyone who's new to it all would have. I would recommend for the instructor to next time take the time to help newbies Instead of saying "common guys....this and that". I understand it may get annoying but that is your job as an instructor and that's why you are there! I also would understand if this was their third class or so but.....first time for her, ever! We arrived around 10 minutes early but there was no introduction to the machine. I've seen other instructors always ask who's a first timer or make a better effort. The instructor may have been having a bad day but not sure I buy it. Maybe because I've always been taught to not bring your problems to the office/job. What a shame.......definitely made my friends experience not so enjoyable and she doesn't want to go back to this location. I've been to the boca location and have had no issues. [Solidcore] is an amazing addition to the Aventura fitness studio community! I came across them on ClassPass and wanted to give them a try. I signed up for class with Shante Gordon on a weekday at noon. Park in the parking garage next to Barry's, it's free parking (despite having to take a parking ticket at entry). When you walk out of the garage, Solidcore is on the ground level, just look for the Solidcore window decals. You'll have to enter the code you get in your signup email at the keypad to the right of the door to enter the studio and then you can wait on the bench inside until right before your class starts. Shortly before the class, Shante greeted me warmly and intro'ed me to the pilates machine and how the class works. I've done a lot of different fitness classes (HIIT most frequently) along with cycling, and Solidcore was extremely tough and challenging. Throughout the class, you're doing the workouts very slow, but with no breaks. And it really breaks your body down, but in a good way.. it really challenges you! I was feeling the workout the next day, and will definitely be back! The studio does have lockers in front, along with a bathroom/changing room (no showers). Definitely come here if you're looking to mix up your workout routine! read more

I have been wanting to try this place out for some time, it's located in a plaza I frequent a lot and I always see very fit looking people coming in and out of it! I finally decided to go for it, and when I walked into the studio I was pleasantly surprised to see it's so clean, modern, and welcoming! My first class was with Ashley, (and she's now my usual instructor to book with!) and she was very kind and walked me through how to use the machine. If it's your first class arrive early to get an intro- it will make understanding the class format much easier!! The first class is difficult because you are using so many muscles that you don't always get the opportunity to - but trust me, come back for more!! Take a rest day in between, but you will be shocked at how strong this class will make you. I have never had very defined abs so matter how many sit ups I did, I swore it was genetics, but nope! Two weeks into SolidCore and I had obliques!! It was insane. Ashley has truly changed my body. For reference I go 4 days a week, every other day. All of the instructions are amazing, you can't go wrong with any of them - but I had to shout out Ashley because I take her the most and I love how she encourages me to trust in my own strengths to make it through tougher portions of the class. She pushes in an encouraging way which makes the class fun and challenging. Go to SolidCore Aventura!! Don't hesitate!! read more

I've been attending solid core for about a month or two now. It's been great. I've really seen a difference in my stretch and definition in my abs. I've tried a few of the coaches but Ashley is by far my favorite! She really pushes you in a good way and wants to make sure you do the moves correctly without injury. Very difficult class as a newbie. Much harder than Pilates or barre. Moved faster than expected but the instructor tried to help me stay on track. I think it's more expensive than it should be at $35 a pop. read more

I just had the worst experience at this studio. Not only do they never answer the phone but they also don't answer emails! The class started at 8:40am and I had been standing outside since 8:41am trying to get the code to work so the door can open and it's pouring rain and I have no cell service and I couldn't get into my email to get the code. They did not have a receptionist and no one was able to let me in and with the music so loud they were not able to hear my knocking. I was finally able to get some cell service thanks to the open WiFi of the restaurant next door and put in the code. When I go inside Mackenzie stops me and says she's not obligated to let anyone in 5min after the class. I tried to explain the situation and she told me to leave. In front of me there was an open machine and she still refused to let me in. I am disgusted by her attitude and disappointed that when when I explained to her what happened she still told me to leave. I want my money back for this class because I am NEVER going back to this studio. read more

You're not allowed to attend your class if you're 5min late. Don't bother. Waste of time

DO NOT TAKE CLASSES WITH CATHERINE MUSNICKI. I arrived 6 mins late due to traffic, while the policy is for no one to enter the class past 10 minutes. They can give away your spot after 5 mins, but mine was still available. Not only did Catherine not let me into the class, but she verbally abused me in front of the entire class "GET OUT RIGHT NOW" "I NEED YOU TO GO" "I DONT HAVE TIME FOR THIS" into the microphone to the point where it was disrupting the others. Thankfully I got in touch with the area manager who reimbursed me and will be getting in touch with Catherine's supervisor. Very frustrating as someone who works 6 days a week and only has 1 morning off for fitness classes like these. I had a very positive experience the day prior with Chelsea Colombo. read more

I enjoy this workout clAss, but their policy is COMPLETELY unfair. My phone died In the middle of the night so my alarm didn't go off, so I call the studio to let them know I won't make the class. They respond saying they won't refund me the credit - fine. But what's annoying me is that they are charging me a late fee, despite the fact that I told them I would be late. Either refund the class or charge a late fee but not both. I've gone to numerous workout classes: cycle bar, orange theory, soul cycle, rumble, Barry's, kamps - and none have policy's like this where they blatantly just want their customers money. I have taken a class with every instructor, Diana, Haley, Shante, Brandee, and Marina, and they are all EXCELLENT!! Each instructor keeps you motivated and engaged throughout this challenging workout, making the class fly by, and love all their playlists!! The studio is super clean, and well run.
