I'm sharing my experience so others can make an informed decision. I paid a $2,500 deposit for teacher training that I ultimately never took. At the same time, I had also purchased six private lessons and was on a monthly membership. Unexpectedly, I was asked to leave the studio, and I was told my deposit would be returned. It has now been over four months and I have still not received that refund. After following up, I was met with threats of legal action rather than a resolution. This situation has been frustrating and disappointing. I would encourage anyone considering committing financially to make sure all terms, refund policies, and expectations are clearly documented upfront. read more

Hands down the best pilates studio in Miami. They focus on classical pilates, and its an intense work out. I have never done any other type of work out that gives me the results of pilates- I'm stronger, leaner and more agile. My posture has improved and I feel good. The instructors are all phenomenal, incredibly knowledgeable and able to modify as needed by clients. They have all the pilates equipment as well- reformer, wundu chair, Cadillac, etc. so this is only place I have found in Miami where you really are able to get the full experience of Pilates- like Joe taught. read more

Been coming to this studio for a year now. The instructors have always been so attentive, professional, knowledgeable, and kind. They fix your form when you need it and cheer you on during the class making you feel more confident. The studio is always clean and the community of members is lovely. I am currently pregnant and have been doing lighter work. The instructors have been able to modify the exercises to best fit my current needs. I have also seen them modify the exercises for people who have certain injuries. They are also good about offering a variety of classes such as reformer, Bodhi, and Aeriel. I have gone to a few Pilates studios in aventura and this one is by far the most personable and professional. read more

This place is the real deal! I have been to other Pilates instructors but Renee Ricca is amazing! I had the pleasure of working with Renee herself! Her experience puts her way above the average Pilates teacher. She gave me a private lesson just on breathing and subtle movements. She explained how important that is before you should even start Pilates. It was eye-opening. She has all different types of Pilates methods in her studio. Her studio has been around for decades and I can see why. The level of training she and her people have is a cut above the rest. I also took her Aerial Pilates and it was so different from anything anybody could ever take. She mentioned she also has a special program and works with people who suffer from MS. I thought that was very special. The next day I must say my whole shoulders and back felt much more opened and less stressed. I highly recommend her studio! read more

Renee Ricca's Pilates is excellent. I have lost weight. I have gained strength and flexibility. My back and hip pain has improved dramatically. The teachers are excellent. They focus on technique while still getting you a great work out. Being part of this studio has been a complete pleasure for me. I'm excited to go to class because I know there will be teachers there that care about me having success in my fitness goals and focus their efforts to me get there. I almost don't want to share this post because I want to keep this amazing place a secret and all to myself. Renee Ricca Pilates is the best Pilates Studio I have ever been to. The level 11 & 111 reformer class is amazing! Very challenging and always different plus I love the way the instructors make sure your form is perfect. I also take the Ariel Class with the ribbons which is a great workout with a deep stretch for the entire body including spinal decompression. Would not go anywhere else!! read more

BEWARE!!!!! Had my mother in town and she went to try out this Pilates place. Being out of shape, she was advised by owner that best to start with some private lessons rather than group classes as the latter might have been too fast for her. My mom agreed but wanted to try just 1 first. The shop owner told her that there was a special 5 lesson private package for $X. Again, my mom told her she wanted just to try 1 lesson and if afterward she liked it she would take the entire package. My mom signed the paperwork prior to class thinking that the owner would honor their understanding. Fast forward and my mom does not want to continue and wants to pay for only that one lesson on its own. As this is Miami and honoring one's word is apparently optional, the business owner decided to charge her the entire, much larger amount. My mom disputed the charge, explaining the story to her credit card company but ultimately the owner showed the paperwork and the credit card company sided with the owner. While the owner is technically correct, my mom would NEVER have signed the document unless the understanding was there that she'd be refunded if she didn't want to continue. Renee Rica, the thanks for giving my Mom the real Miami welcome. I sincerely hope that folks reading this think twice about dealing with a dishonest business and that in the end would prefer to charge someone for a service they don't want and haven't used (still hasn't used the other 4 lessons). Great business model! Let's see if social media agrees and costs you more than what you made suckering my mom and tarnishing your reputation. read more
