HNL Studios...how can I even describe how God has blessed my husband and me by finding such an…read moreamazing business to handle our wedding photography/videography?   I initially found HNL Studios years ago through an old classmate of mine; I loved the style of her wedding photos and I wanted something similar for when I got married.  So I followed them on instagram.  Fast forward 4 years later and I got engaged.  I'm the type of girl who has had her dream wedding planned in her head since she was 6 years old and I just knew that I had to have HNL Studios to do photography/videography, so I literally contacted them and my dream venue within a week of getting engaged.  My husband and I got married exactly within a year of our engagement; during that time, Keshia and Charles made it almost effortless to plan our wedding.  They were always willing to answer any silly questions we had and we had great vibes during our planning meetings. Let's fast forward to the day of the wedding.  I have no idea how Charles and his team do it, but they made everything super easy and seamless.  The photographers and videographers know exactly how to direct the couple, wedding party, etc. especially when there are some super camera-shy people.  The videographers really know how to capture the couple's love story within a few minutes.  The photobooth staff was so professional and fun, it was such a big hit at the reception.  Not to mention the props are super fun!  Romeo Valentine was super great with emceeing/DJ'ing our reception - shoe game ftw!  Such a great team and professional staff! She is always checking on me to see if there's anything I need help with and with this pandemic, there have been many changes in plans for my wedding. :( But, HNL has been SUPER understanding and helpful. My fiance and I took our engagement photos in January and we LOVE how our photos turned out! It was exactly what I wanted and they captured both us and the beautiful scenery perfectly! I love that we get to know them (and vice versa) before the big day so we could both get comfortable around one another. I had already booked photobooth with our emcee package so I was looking more at his Photo/Video Event Service. Which I should of looked into his photobooth service because he had a better deal but definitely will look into booking more services for future events. I was in contact with Alan throughout the year for any questions and concerns I had. He's quick to respond and is available through text or email. I also added the slideshow services a few months before after a fallout of another vendor I was suppose to do it with. He was able to do it with no problems. I gave the slideshow pictures a little over a week before the party and he showed me a sample of it. It got me choked up on how beautifully it turned out with all the pictures and songs put together. We just had our daughter's birthday within the last week and had Allan photographing our event with the help of Makoto doing the video. They both were prompt and ready to service the event. At first I was suppose to have the VIP photo wall at the entrance so we could take pictures with our guests upon arrival but due to the winds outside it had to be moved it. It crowded the area a bit with couple vendors aside the photo area but Allan tried his best to make use of the wall and have us take pictures. We were all over the place so we didn't get to use it to the full potential but I know he capture all the important stuff during our event. Especially suggesting to take our family photo outside. She had nothing but good things to say about them so I checked out the prices and inquired. All communication with Allan was great. I gave him vectors that I used to make our invitations and after I showed him an example of what I kind of wanted he did a great job creating our layout. At the wedding, the staff was so nice to all of our guests. Our cocktail got moved from outside to inside in the foyer. They offered to start earlier so our guests could have some fun during the cocktail hour. We all loved the fun props and I'm super picky about lighting and the lighting on their booth is awesome. Lastly, they provide you with an online album to view and download all your photos which was great because I got distracted at the wedding of course and misplaced mine. We were always on the go and David and his team was there the entire day photographing everything. It was great! David has a great eye for capturing the right moment in our photos. For one of our wedding events, I didn't even notice when David was around. After looking at my parents' photos, David was basically inches from my arm taking close up pictures of our tea ceremony and licee envelopes. I couldn't believe that I didn't notice him. It was great because he was not invasive or annoying. We went to the beach with the bridal party after the ceremony and we took some great pictures that we all felt like we were at a magazine shoot. Everyone was looking at us and he had lights flashing everywhere. The picture came out AMAZING! David's professionalism and photo quality is top notch. His wedding package prices are well worth the value even over $5k since it included the album. With such an important day in your life, my husband and I wanted pictures that will last an eternity. Choosing a photographer for our wedding was probably the most important decision for me. I first…read morenoticed David Murphey's photos at the Bridal Expo and instantly fell in love with them. I told my fiance that he was the one I wanted. We set up an appointment to meet with him. He was very laid back and friendly so I knew he'd be easy to work with. The reason that I like David's photography was because I really wanted a photojournalism style versus traditional. Photojournalism provides a series of more candid photos throughout the wedding day. Traditional pictures are usually posed and planned. I liked David because he provided a little of both. We took some posed pictures with our wedding party, our family, and some bride and groom shots. However, the posed shots weren't cheesy like you might see in some traditional shots. David was still able to make us look natural. David not only gave us prints, but he also provided us with a DVD of the pictures and the rights to make copies. Not all photographers will do that. I thought that made him worth the money. It took a little over a month to get our pictures, which isn't too long. However, I did have a hard time getting a hold of him when it came time to picking them up. I probably called at least three or four times before he contacted me. I think he was really busy during that time. Overall, My husband and I were very happy with our pictures and we are very glad with our decision.
