She is not afraid to speak up when necessary and stand her ground where the operation of her stable and school are concerned. I have never hesitated to recommend her for anyone seeking riding instruction. She's absolutely top notch in our book.

Her treatment of a beloved first horse, I had to sell during hard times, absolutely cruel, unnecessary and unforgivable. Why then did I sell to her, given my experience as a junior? I didn't. The trainer I used at the time, didn't tell me he had sold my horse to her until after he completed the deal and she hauled the horse away. I would NEVER have approved the sale. It leaves me teary-eyed DECADES later. She ran him into the ground as a lesson horse; then, when he became unsound...I know he suffered and died in a hellish place, aka slaughter house, with a check sent to her afterwards. My heart scarred forever! Now, as a much acclaimed, highly skilled rider who has logged many positive experiences with top-tier trainers in three states, I can only reflect back on what a mistake it was to ever step into the arena with her. Having trained in THREE different states over the course of DECADES, in my opinion and based on my experiences, I can say she is by far the worst on many levels. Furthermore, while some may say, "She's been in business for a while." The truth is most people don't carefully thoroughly vet their horse trainer/teacher choice. There's a certain assumption that ALL horse professionals are trustworthy, humane, kind and caring. Nope. There's a profit to be made from that naive mindset. Shop around for lessons, horse training and horses.

Still, I faced my fears and had an unbelievably amazing time! I did a tandem ride with a friend, and steering for 10 minutes made me feel so empowered. The company was awesome, the driver instructor was patient, and the trail? Absolutely wild. It seemed endless--every time you thought it was over, another section appeared! The hour-long ride was incredible, but honestly, I could've gone for two or three more. The trail had everything: puddles to splash through, loops to navigate, and even a stunning ride around a lake. Just a heads-up: you'll get super dirty. The drivers wore rain boots--brilliant idea--and I highly recommend wearing shoes and clothes you're okay with trashing. You can buy gear like masks at check-in, but it's way cheaper to bring your own. Trust me, leave your worries in the car, embrace the mud, and just have fun!

For experienced climbers, this is the most realistic route setting for you to practice on before going outdoors. They use their space very efficiently so that every "move" on the wall is challenging and interesting. Everyone is welcome here. Nah, this ain't it…read more My deep gratitude to the city for curating experiences with dog owners which includes thoughtfully creating a separation between large and small dogs. This is a fairly accessible dog park, and with plentiful dedicated parking, which is really appreciated. Unfortunately, the park smells quite bad (probably because it is well trafficked), but there are also places (at least on the small side) where owners have not picked up after their pups, which adds to the sense the place is not sanitary. The pond is a nice touch, but as above, I worried about the cleanliness of the water. I am so glad the city curates spaces like this, but there are much nicer spaces in the city to take your pup!

To make matters worse, one of the other regulars confirmed that it happens often which was evident by the mounds of glass is random parts of the parking lot. Called the cops. No one came after 30+ minutes. They know and they don't care. Never again!!!! I am new to Houston and this was my biggest fear. Protect yourselves!
