I have attached that are visible on the.com but are not visible on the app. Oh, how I love Solvang! As a kid, I would come up here once a year and walk around and buy a piece of fudge for the drive home. As an adult, I cannot believe the amazing history that is held in this city! First and foremost, the Mission Santa Ines is a MUST see and do. Beyond that, the streets have historical-looking buildings and shops that will take you straight to Denmark: shopping, bakeries, restaurants, wine tasting experiences, etc. etc. It's an incredible environment to immerse yourself in that is a great way to take a quick "staycation" if you're in Santa Barbara, Ventura, or even Los Angeles Counties. Via a quick search on the G train, the city of Solvang was founded in 1911. Also see: https://solvangusa.com/ There is so much to do and see in Solvang! Check it out and be sure to get a piece of Solvang fudge! Enjoy!

The ambiance outside was gorgeous. Here's what we ordered: Cesar Salad - good just ask for the dressing on the side as it was overdressed. Mozzarella sticks - didn't have the cheese pull I was expecting, I did appreciate that it wasn't as salty as most places, however, it was more breaded than cheese. Penne with sausage and fungi - good! To be honest it was even better tasting as leftovers, as the flavor was soaked in by the pasta. Sole fish with lemon sauce - came with pasta, my husband said it was exactly, if not more, what he wanted! He would order this again. Bread - free for first serving, charge after. It was definitely a bit on the harder side. Overall, everything was pretty okay. It wasn't memorable or bursting with flavor. It was simple and clean and that can definitely be what someone is looking for in Italian food!

We went for lunch to try out a couple things. We were seated immediately and offered menus. We ordered a seared ahi salad, calamari, bolognese, and mushroom pizza. The ahi salad was delicious. The vinaigrette was delicious and refreshing. The ahi was seared just right. The calamari was flavorful and crispy. It also came with some shrimps which was a nice surprise. The bolognese was nice and hearty. The pizza had the perfect crust thickness and tasted even better when I baked it for dinner later in the day. Overall, we enjoyed everything we tried and would like to come back on the next visit.

It didn't have the energy that the main dining room has but our party was 9, so we understood! The service was not that great. Didn't like our snotty waitress and the food servers were also rude. The food was meh this time. The bruschetta was salty, the ceasar salad was tasteless, the chicken piccata was lousy. It barely had any sauce, the potatoes were dry and looked like Terds, and the spinach had a long, black hair wrapped in it. The chicken parm was great and so was spaghetti. The pane cotta was pitiful. They cut back on the portion size. Tiramisu was bleh and they served us melted spamoni! All around bad night, August 4th! Unfortunately we will not return.
