The service started out kinda welcoming but then went very down hill from there. They made my friend bleed down her wrist. They were also talking bad about me and my besties on full volume. We also asked for no gel but my friends daughter somehow ended up with acrylic nails. read more

Updated review based on my service today. 01/12/2025 I gave this place and Rosie great review last time. Even said I didn't understand why they get such bad reviews. Well I found out today. Rosie did my manicure and I guess she's going for a personal record of the fastest manicure ever. Literally she was "ready" to polish in about 5 to 7 minutes. I wish I was exaggerating. When I asked to look at my nails because I thought she had rushed through it, she started tapping on the table, like impatiently. Then apparently I wasn't going fast enough because she pushed away from the table, gave me a look and without saying anything got up. She went to go finish another customer that was left in the chair half done and waiting. Here's the thing. I called ahead. Asked if they could see me (said I'd be there in 5 minutes) and they said yes. When I got here there were 4 people here (only 4 chairs) already getting service. I didn't say anything, sat down and just waited my turn. I'm not in a rush today. If you're busy, say your busy. Say you don't have time. If you don't wanna scare off business, and want me to come but need me to wait, when I get there, just ask me if I mind waiting. But sure as hell don't try and squeeze me in between half finished people, and do a less than professional job, and rush through me. Not cool. In the end she still never said a word to me and just pawned me off to another tech (Kim) who at least did a decent job. I think though this experience turned me off of this place though. Save yourself... DO NOT GO HERE. I just sat in there for an hour and a half for a gel polish change. They had to change people 2 times because of how long it was taking. All of my nails are a different shape. I asked for round, super simple. And they are square and look horrible. Just look at the photo I posted to help explain.... That was after an hour and a half I shouldn't have even paid. EDIT: wish I could give zero stars. She told me to "deal with it" and they refused to provide a refund. My boyfriend and I got our nails here while we were visiting for Memorial Weekend. Not sure why it's rated 3 stars when we had really good service. I appreciate that she was able to take us in with short notice. Also, my nails were horrible to begin with. I'm very happy with the result. I had mixed feelings about my experience here. They were fast and I liked that they did my toes and fingers at the same time. My pedicure was great my manicure was okay. The manicurist kept getting the sides of my fingers with her tool. I've never had my fingers bleed in so many locations getting a manicure. I understand if it happens once but it kept happening, you'd think after the first time she would have been more careful. read more

I saw a customer sitting next to me getting a pedicure and after she left the same cuticle pusher and cutter were used on the next client. YUCK! The nail tech that was working on my pedi (who was an older man) kept making inappropriate racist jokes. I don't think he meant to be racist but everything he was saying was just not okay and made me so uncomfortable. They cut me SO bad and then kept digging at the same cut spots and I had to tell the guy to stop because I was scared of what I saw with the same usage of equipment between clients. Wish I could give this place a negative star. Horrible service. These pictures are second time after "fileing down the nail" she offered to fix them because I told her I didn't like them. They were supper lumpy , glue and paint was on side of finger. Seems as if the right size nail wasn't use but rather any nail. Tip of nails had hard residue sticking out . Absolute worst pedicure I have ever had in my life. Save your money.....first the guy cut the toe nails crooked. Then you buffed the big toenail so much to the point where I actually flinched with pain because the filed it down so thin. He then left the big toe nail long. When he put the lamp in them to cure the gel he set the lamp on top of my toe nail. He got so much nail polish around the toe and cuticle it looks like a 5 yr old painted them. I can do better polish drunk. My ties are now sensitive to water and still pulsating. I should have just stopped him half way through but I was with a new friend and didn't want to be that person. I really can't express how bad it was. i still have dead skin around the toes and the nail polish is all over the place. He also didn't use gloves and dug his long dirty nails into my toes to try and remove the excess nail polish. read more

Don't bother asking Rosa to put 'dip nails' on. She seems incapable of shaping nails smoothly. The story: I'd gone to a random salon outside of Boston and had the most beautiful set of nails put on in a " pink and white" French manicure. Three weeks later, I decided to have them refilled, made an appt at Solvang Nail and Spa Salon. While there, I chose a colored powder for myself. That appointment was made at 4:30. Most days they are open until 7pm, but that day they closed at 5:30. It seemed Rosa had put the product on, but ran out of time. She didn't really shape them, but from my view they seemed fine. A couple of thick coats of top coat and I was done. She and another woman closed the business, shut off lights, etc... I left and hadn't really felt my nails. When I got out to the car I realized just how lumpy my nails were and how they didn't seem finished. I called the next morning to tell the manager and she said an appointment for me today at 3:30 to get them finished. It took her 15 minutes to file down the lumps and dip them another time. Rosa did try to shape my nails better than last time, but my nails are still thin in the center thick at the cuticle and thick at the end of my finger nail. Rosa was not happy to be redoing my nails and blamed the shape on my nails!? My nails are flat, thank you. She then said my nails are too thin?! Blaming me for poor workmanship is not how I expect to be treated. I'm not a tourist in town for the weekend, I'm a local here in the Santa Ynez valley. I've been to their salon for pedicures numerous times but I will never go back now. She did not want to talk to me. When she was done she simply got up and walked over to the other woman and started doing inventory. Didn't ask me how my nails were. Didn't ask me if I was happy. Unfortunately was a disappointing experience when I came here with my best friend. She is getting married on Saturday so this was a really important detail and we had hoped this would be the right place. We started out wanting to get a mani/pedi and leg wax for both of us. We made an appointment ahead of time. I don't have all bad things to say, but overall we weren't happy with our experience. The leg waxing done by Rosie was ok. Though there were still spots missed even after she went over it again, she was a very pleasant lady though so we didn't want to give her a hard time if she was really trying. My mani/pedi was done by one woman and I had no problems. (See third pic.) (Though the gel polish on my toes started chipping that day, I don't know if that has to do with anything she did.) My friend had a different woman doing her nails however and ended up not getting her toes done because of how unhappy she was. She asked for French tip acrylics (pretty simple I'd think), even had a photo example. We don't know what the lady was trying to do (unlike the other ladies working there she didn't speak much English), but it was not what was asked for. (See the first pic.) We ended up having her start over with just a solid color on all the nails, except one glitter one. (See second pic.) I suppose it was acceptable ? She seemed very inexperienced; almost clipping my friends fingers, making her bleed a few times, leaving one nail crooked. It was a sloppy job. Luckily they didn't charge us for the redo of my friends nails. If they had I think that would've pushed us over the edge. We were tired and done and had been there for 3 hours. read more

One star because this place is very expensive and the work is subpar. I was charged $92 for a basic mani/pedi w/ regular polish and callous treatment. As I was leaving, I noticed the price on their menu by the door said a basic mani/pedi is $56, that means I was charged $36 for the callous treatment which took an extra 5 minutes?! Kind of outrageous. While the pedicure was ok, the mani was not good. The younger girl who did my nails rushed through the job and left the surface of my nails looking lumpy - I have not experience this at any other nail salon. I also asked her if I could have a tip put on to repair a broken nail and she flat out said "no". I have never been told I couldn't have a broken nail repaired, it is an item on their menu of services, after all. Needless to say, I won't be going back. read more

I came in with my grandmother for manicure and pedicure and when I asked for a simple heart on one of my finger nails you would have thought I was asking for Mona Lisa to be painted on my nails. She took my nail polish off with a drill...She was dirty and sloppy, meaning she left dust, old nail polish chips and the clipped nail ends in her work place the WHOLE time she was working on my nails. I have red flecks in my acrylics b/c my old nail polish was red. My nails are thick as hell, uneven and filled with air-bubbles (air-bubbles= fungus). Around my nails is a thick crust of acrylic and skin from over use of the nail drill.. and when my boyfriend went in there to get his money back (he paid) she told him that I needed to come back and get them removed and ONLY THEN would she give me the money back. Beware if you're new, they would charge you $10 to remove the gel, they will tell you this after, I called and asked how much much for a service and when I sat down there and my gel being wrapped, I saw a different price on the wall, I have been around Vietnamese people and I know what the numbers sound, so felt like I got ripped off, not only that, my gel started to peel off the next day smh!!! I haven't gone to the salon to get my nails done in years & I thought it would be a fun treat, so I came here to get gel nails. I was really excited with the outcome at first because the nail polish I chose was really cool! Unfortunately I don't have any pictures of my nails with the nail polish on, because the layers were so thick they peeled off after one day :( On top of that the nail tech was super rough when doing my cuticles and they ended up looking worse than when I came in. My daughter and I were in the valley this past weekend for a little getaway and decided to go and have a Mani Pedi at this location and it was the worst experience I've ever had at a nail shop. The girl who did my manicure spent literally 10 minutes on me. The polish came off within one day and if you look at the edges it wasn't even painted evenly as you could see the layer that was underneath. The guy that did my pedicure, God bless him he was old, but got polish all over my cuticles and didn't even clean my toenails! Then to top it all off my daughter had a dip manicure and a regular pedicure which was also done in a rush and I was charged $164 for both of us! Omg! For two BASIC pedis, one beyond basic manicure and one dip mani! Our dinner at the incredible SY Kitchen was less expensive! Never again! I do not recommend this place at all! read more

I went in to get acrylic nails while on vacation I picked out a dark green and dark purple glitter polish that the nail tech then switched out for the green and pink gel that is in the picture. The black, she only did two layers and was so see through. I wanted to ask her to fix it but she was looking at my hand and basically tossed it to the side and said good enough. I think it was sarcasm because they looked alright but then when I was looking it was awful. The nails were so uneven and I asked for a coffin shape but ya. I shouldn't have paid 80 dollars for nails that I had fixed three days later because they were so bad. and I could have said something about her switching the colors but the whole experience was super uncomfortable and I didn't feel like I could. read more
