Soma is one of my fav stores. I can always find what I'm looking for and more! This was my first visit to this store, but it was a less than stellar experience. It was a Saturday and to be honest, the Springfield soma had just closed down; that's where I usually go. This store was super packed; the staff was overwhelmed. It took me 10 minutes to just get a fitting room and the biggest disappointment, is that no one was even around to help me. I love it when sales tries to upsell me by bringing other options to try on while I'm there trying on pieces. That never happened and they like cold have gotten another 100-200 bucks from me. Meh... Could have been an off day and understaffed that day. But soma will remain my fav. But I'll likely make the trip to Woodbridge soma store next time. read more

Beautiful lingerie with very generous selections. When I went in, I didn't think they would have my size but surprisingly they did and the bras fit beautifully. I will be purchasing more from there very soon. read more

I like Soma clothes but the service at the Tyson's Corner location is awful. I was in the dressing room today with several hundred dollars worth of clothing, at least some of which I was planning to purchase. I needed a bathroom in an emergency and they would not let me use it. Not because they doesn't have one, but because they said they only had two staff working and couldn't spare someone to watch that I didn't take anything in the back. They told me I could get dressed and walk 100 feet to the nearest public bathroom and that they would hold my clothes for me. Not bloody likely. read more

I love shopping at this location. I always have the best experience! The staff is knowledgeable and so helpful. They listen to what I need/want, offer several options, but are never pushy. If you need a fitting, it is very professional and accurate. They also have the best sales! I recently got rid of all my old bras and was able to get 7 new ones for under $200! The staff will help you make sure you are utilizing the sales to maximize your purchase. read more

Horrible. I expected so much more. I at least expected normal, regular customer service. My expectations were too high. For a point of reference, I was in this store on November 17, 2018 at 9 PM. I walked in and saw 1 woman (in black and white pants) straight ahead at the register. She looked me in the face, ducked and walked in the back...hmm. Strike 1. I am now standing in the middle of this small store when I turn to my left and see a round woman who looks me in the face and says nothing...hmm. Strike 2. As I pause, waiting for someone to acknowledge my very existence, a woman to my right, whom I didn't see, asks if I needed help. I'M STANDING IN THE MIDDLE OF THE STORE, BAGS IN HAND, MERELY STANDING. YES, WOMAN, I NEED HELP!! Instead of showing my displeasure, I simply advise Bri (the woman to my right), of what I need. She then turns to the round woman and asks for advice. Bri, is apparently new. The round woman tells her where to go to find the bra I need in my size and walks to the register, where the black and white pants woman has reappeared. Now. As Bri is struggling to find what she's looking for, the round woman and black and white pants woman are now at the register having a good 'ole time laughing and whispering. I am quietly seething at this point. The audacity of these woman. The lack of professionalism and lack of service I find to be outstanding. Let's keep in mind, I am the only customer in this store. Every store I had been in this evening had someone who greeted me and asked if they could help. Every. Single. One. EXCEPT Soma. The one store I actually needed to purchase something from. Needless to say, I chose to purchase nothing and instead write this review and post it on Yelp and Google. Don't go here. I will NOT return. read more

Disappointed...as I am a big fan of White House Black Market and I so wanted Soma to work for me! My visit started out great. I was greeted by a friendly customer service rep, who seemed to understand what I wanted, a comfortable everyday bra. I explained that my Victoria's Secret 36C bras were too tight in some places and too loose in others. However, after greeting me, she had another rep size me....and then basically handed me off to the new rep. This new rep could not properly fit me and I tried on 4 different bra sizes (36B, 36C, 38B, and 36D) while there. I find it odd that they originally sized me as a 36B, then told me I was actually a 36D. That's a pretty big difference in cups for the same band size. Regardless, the bras weren't super comfortable and I was given no feedback as to how to adjust them properly. Also, between them bringing me different sized bras to try on, I waited for what seemed like forever, up to 10 minutes one time, with little to no communication from either rep. I had to ask what was going on. Also, the reps kept opening the dressing room door without knocking, which didn't bother me until they did so as I was in the middle of changing bras. This made me uncomfortable as I was half naked on the top. Other lingerie shop reps always knocked first to make sure I was comfortable with them coming into the dressing room. Needless to say, I left Soma without purchasing anything. It's ashame because I would have purchased several new bras had they helped me find some that fit! read more

After having worn the bras I purchased for a couple weeks, I am extremely disappointed in my purchase. The bras do not fit me well nor properly. I now realize that the bra fitting process was extremely flawed: - She measured me and asked if the measurement sounded right. - She handed me a bra in that size for me to try on. When she came back, I told her it was too huge. - She came back with 2 more bras for me to try on. When she came back, I told her one didn't fit well but the other looked good. - So I bought 2 of the ones that I liked. She never saw the bras on me, to tell me if I had them adjusted properly (I now realize I did not) or if they were fitting me properly (I now realize they do not). So... I'm disappointed in the flawed process that is not a proper bra fitting, which resulted in me spending $ on bras that don't fit and that I can't wait to yank off by halfway through the day. The one thing I do like is the panties and pjs - they feel nice, fit a woman's body well, and stay put. I'm happy with those purchases. But I still had to figure them out on my own, and thankfully I was successful in figuring out those. Nice ladies. Not a good bra fitting service. Truly just a grown up version of Victoria's Secret... which most people don't mind, if they've never had a proper bra fitting at a proper lingerie store. read more

I have never been in and out of a lingerie store so quickly in my life. Literally 15 minutes, in and out $97 and 3 bras later. I was truly impressed with the quality of customer service they provided -- especially on a Saturday afternoon with a sale going on! Everyone was so friendly, and quick to accommodate. Denny (sp?) was super friendly. She measured me, and brought me in 2 bras. She went out of the room to find another one, when I tried on both them with perfection. When she came back with the 3rd one, I was getting dressed because I knew immediately they were what I was looking for. I had great luck at Soma before with my previous bra purchase, but that was a while ago and a few sizes ago before my weight loss. She made me put one on to model for her to validate it to prove I wasn't acting on impulse. LOL She agreed with me, and went on to tell me about the sale they were having! Done and done. Being a bustier woman, I didn't get to choose from the cream of the crop for choosing different colors. I had to settle for the typical white, nude, and black. It's okay; I'll survive. If that was the only downfall to the visit -- then I think I made out like a bandit. In total I saved about $62 on my purchase. I am one who typically shies away from the idea of signing up for promos and stuff because I do not want to be flooded with junk mail or emails, but Soma is actually one I do subscribe to that came in handy for this visit. The sale was 15% off your purchase, but since I was on the mailing list I got 20% off in addition to the 2 for $59 sale they had going on for one of the bra styles I chose. I just love good deals, especially on bras. Bra shopping is a nightmare for me most of the time. Yesterday I was subjected to the most disgraceful behaviour by the store manager, Jenelle. No way should a customer have to tolerate being screamed and yelled at by an employee. The insults, abuse and false accusations from this woman left me very shaken up. There were other witness which I hope will come forward. I have reported it to Corporate Customer Service and sincerely hope they do something about this. This company has definitely lost my business. read more

Called the store in advance of visiting explaining that I had an online purchase in the wrong size and asked if I could exchange IN THE STOREz I figured maybe I should get remeasured to confirm correct sizing. I said, " one bra is for a wedding in two weeks and if you don't carry it in size [] in the store right now I will just execute the exchange online. I'm only driving there if you have it in stock." She responded - "let me check" and subsequently informed me they had it. Get here and they don't have it in my size. Hello!!! That's why I called in the first place!!! Aggravating. read more

I called on the phone from out of the area to find pajama sets for an upcoming vacation. This store had exemplary customer service. The associate I talked to, Janet, went out of her way to get the pajama sets I needed, offering even to contact a nearby Soma for me and if they had the items pick them up herself and have ready so I didn't have to to go two different locations. In the background on the phone I could hear other employees greeting customer and there was just a friendly mood that was palpable from all I heard and experienced. In a day an age where good customer service is hard to find this store takes the cake for excellence and I would recommend this location without reservation. Thank you! read more

Worst customer service ever. They don't stand behind their products. Unfortunate since I like the fit of their bras. New manager is NOT worthy of being in any customer service e role. Service is substandard. I was left sitting topless in a dressing room while staff socialized rather than help me with a fitting.

I stopped by today on a whim because I saw they were having a sale for $19.99 bras. Jillian greeted me right away and steered me in the right direction when I told her I was looking for a strapless bra. She found all the styles I wanted in the size I said I was and helped me into a fitting room. She checked back in on me (by name!) tons of times and got me many different styles and sizes to ensure I got the perfect fit. She made me feel so comfortable and at ease and the whole bra-buying process totally painless. Plus, she and my boyfriend talked about soccer while I was trying on so he didn't even feel weird about hanging out in a lingerie store! I was so impressed by Jillian's customer service and will definitely return to this specific Soma just for her! Thank you! read more

For a specialty sizing store, I expected them to be able to help me finally find a bra that fits, let alone have bras that might fit. Neither of those seem to be the case. I went back twice to get re-fitted because they sized me with bras that feel painful, that I have to constantly re-adjust, that have zero support, and that are constantly spilling. The first time I went to get refitted, I left with bras of a different size that have exactly the same problems. The second time when I walked in and tried to get refitted again, I was told that I "wasn't wearing the bra properly" and that "maybe they just don't have a bra that works." I thought that the whole point of a specialty sizing store was to have enough of a variety that there would be a bra that works? I guess not! I tried wearing those bras how they said "I was supposed to" and all of the same problems are still there. This was a giant waste of money and very disappointing. read more

I stopped in this location to exchange some Christmas pj's that weren't the correct size. Not only was the store very clean and well organized but the associate, Janelle, was incredibly helpful. She assisted with finding the correct size and also let me know about their sale on the holiday pj's...hoping I could get a deal on the exchange. It turns out with the exchange I also had enough to get a bra. She pulled up my history to ensure I got the correct size (didn't even have to try anything on!) and looked in the back for the size/color I wanted in my favorite bra style. When she couldn't find the style in the back she started searching through the sales rack to find it for me. This is what a shopping experience should be like! read more
