I like coming to Lululemon in Tysons Corner mall. The staff are always friendly and helpful, and they have a good selection of inventory and sizes. The active wear sold by this brand is on the pricier side, but the clothing is well made and extremely comfortable. It does not shrink nor fade. On this particular visit, I was trying to locate a pair of pants and Anne was so helpful and friendly. She took the time to go check their stock in the back and found the pants I was looking for. She helped me determine what size would work best for me and was overall just so pleasant! I am greeted every time I frequent the store and always asked if I need help looking for something. To Lululemon Corporate Leadership, I am extremely disappointed by my experience at the Tysons Corner location. I have spent approximately $20,000-$30,000 with Lululemon and have always considered myself a loyal customer who believed in the brand's reputation for exceptional service. From the moment I entered the store, I was treated dismissively and made to feel unwelcome. I was shopping for clothing for myself, my employees, and my wife, yet multiple employees were rude, unhelpful, and appeared irritated by my questions. The situation ultimately escalated to the point where the manager on duty, Kahana, asked me to leave without giving me a reasonable explanation. When I requested the General Manager's name or contact information so I could provide feedback, I was told, "I don't have to give you that." That response was completely unacceptable. More seriously, based on the way I was treated and the circumstances of the interaction, I am concerned that I was profiled and discriminated against because of my race and/or appearance. I expect Lululemon Corporate to take that allegation seriously and investigate it. I am asking corporate leadership to review this incident, the conduct of the employees involved, and the management practices at the Tysons Corner location. Please review any available surveillance footage and provide me with a meaningful response--not a generic customer-service reply. I came into your store as a loyal customer prepared to spend money and left feeling like I was someone your employees simply wanted out of the building. Ella needs a raise! I have been looking for a specific jacket forEVER but they never have the long version in my size online. I brought a different version of it up to the front to check out and started making conversation about the jacket i really wanted instead of the one i was about to buy. Ella took the time to look it up in their system, and Ella told me they have ONE left in the back, and "she wanted to make my day" and go look for it. I used to be so envious of the yoginis in my bikram yoga class draped in head to toe Lululemon and couldn't find myself to pull the trigger because I didn't understand what the hype was about. BUT, this past birthday, I received a gift card and I literally went to town. Once I stepped into bikram class with my new gear, I understood why yoginis love it. Their clothing was breathable, stretchy, comfortable and had great support! I've always had good experiences at this location with friendly, helpful sales associates. As a first responder I am very disappointed of how I have been treated at this specific location. I went in to purchase 2 pants and hem them at the store before going to the front desk to pay for them. Once I showed proof of my first responder ID through the app, Jack who works there said in a very rude manor to me that I cannot use my first responder discount, because they cannot use the discount for gifts. Well I never mentioned it was a gift, and I have never had an issue prior to this experience and any other lululemon location. I ended up leaving the store without purchasing the items after I spent all that time with them hemming my items. Today I returned to the store, and I had no issue purchasing what I need with Jordan. However, Jack the same employee who gave me a hard time yesterday went up to his manager Sydney and told her about what happened the previous day after spotting me in the store. As Jordan was checking me out and I was almost done paying for my items, Sydney walks over and says " We cannot discount on gifted items" When again I never mentioned it was a gift. It's a tale of two sides for me today. The lady in the back who does the measurements for alterations was very pleasant but the rest of the staff was very aloof. My wife wandered around and the closest to customer service she got was a side eye and walking away. Very far from the usual, almost overtly polite service we've come to expect from lulu stores. I can honestly say the old town Alexandria branch had an overall better atmosphere and customer service. If you're trying to decide which store to go to I would recommend the other one. read more

Usually I love lululemon, but I had a less than pleasant experience at this particular store. Really consider going to the Bethesda, Georgetown, or Clarendon store instead of the Tyson's store. I went in on a weekday and was so excited to get all my new gear for the winter, but the staff was so unfriendly that it I didn't want to spend any time in the store. Even when I did go to the register, the staff was all checking people out on facebook and even after I said something, they made me wait to ring up. I was clearly annoying and burdening them for having questions. Maybe it was an off day for them, but I usually don't mind paying a lot of money for the gear, because its really durable and the experience of shopping is really fun and relaxing since the staff is usually extremely friendly. This is not the active or sportswear section at Marshall's or Ross. I desperately needed to burn off some of my dinner (soon dubu and bing soo), so I ended up at Tysons (of course). Little did I know I'd also end up burning some cash right out of my wallet. I had no idea that Yogis (is this a word???) were so serious about what they wore! I feel like such a cave woman for donning discount wear at the gym! Wear a Nike tech tee and shorts? What was I THINKING? Not to knock Luluites too badly, this stuff is really well made and on par with some of the Under Armour clothing line. Their pants really didn't do anything for me, so I kept it moving. Their shorts averaged around $40.00, and I've bought plenty o' those at other stores. I did like their workout tops, and decided to give the Athletic Deep V Tank and the Whisper Tank a try. I had no problem in getting the tanks on, but taking them off was another story. I pulled. I yanked. I looked in my purse for any liquid substance that I could spread all over to ease the difficulties in getting them off. A bottle of vegetable oil would have been nice. I asked the sales woman if it was normal to have a problem in getting the clothes off. She said, "Oh yeah, it's because our clothes are made to keep everything in place." I sheepishly looked down and, realizing I was indeed half Asian, wondered where what I had would be dashing off to. Oh well. The woman that helped me was very friendly, helpful, and knew the product line pretty darn well. If you're looking to drop the Benjamins on some workout clothes, you've come to the right place. This lululemon location is a bit larger than others that I have been in- and the first one I have made a purchase in! It is uncluttered and relaxing. The fitting rooms are small, but clean and have great lighting (marketing tactic?!). I find some of the merchandise to be organized illogically and would roam in circles looking for a specific item if it weren't for the helpful staff members. They're all extremely nice and helpful, but are SO 'chill', that they seem like they just woke up from a nap. I don't think this place would hire me since I talk fast and am fairly anxious a lot of the time haha! The Tyson's lululemon has a lot of items that are out of stock online (score!). The merchandise is expensive, but, as other reviewers have said, you get what you pay for. You also get a recycled tote when you make a purchase. Fun. read more

Wanna wear your birthday suit without having to scare your family and friends? Then you MUST try lululemon's Groove pants. It makes you feel as if you are wearing absolutely nothing. Their hoodies are super warm and comfy without being too bulky. Best of all, they come in different patterns and designs. I especially like this location because of the store's helpful employees. I was greeted as soon as I walked through the door and was helped as soon as they saw me perusing through the pants section. I was escorted to their quaint fitting room, and the associate came back twice to see how I was doing. Yes, their merchandise is a bit on the steep side, but I think it's worth it. I walked into Lululemon at Tyson's Corner fully aware that I could NOT spend a dime because I recently rescued a dog whose owner died. Two weeks after rescuing him, I found out that he had skin cancer and have had to pay for two surgeries and 12 weeks of chemotherapy which has been astronomically expensive and for which I was NOT prepared since he had been vetted with a clean bill of health prior to being transported from his deceased owner's home in VA to my home in NC. Anyways, I came into Lulu just to peruse the items and help my sister pick out some uniforms for her personal-training business. The store was more of a "pop-up shop" as Lulu is relocating within Tyson's but the staff still kept the small store well-organized, clean, and inviting true to every Lulu store I have ever visited! I tried on a few things just for fun and, of course, fell in love with all of the items. I am a Lulu addict and know the names of all the products. Along with my sister and mom, I got to chatting with a few of the educators (one sweet girl was named Michelle) at Lulu who were complimenting me on how cute I looked in the new Picnic Play dress and the new navy High Times pants that I had tried on in a size 2. I was so excited to fit into this dress because, just 3 years ago, I was a size 16 to 18 and weighed about 200 lbs. The educators at Lulu were shocked at my transformation! My sister helped me lose over 80 lbs over the past 3 years and we showed the Lulu girls before and after pictures and shared some of the fun experiences we had along my fitness journey and they were so excited that my sister and I had bonded so intensely over my journey and that Lulu had been a constant theme along the way. I told them that I had promised myself a pair of Lulu pants once I reached a size 10 and bought my first pair of Lululemon Wunder Unders in a size 10 about 1.5 years ago and have continued to shop there as I kept working to get fitter, stronger, and healthier. The educators were so excited for me and inspired by my story and relationship with my sister that they asked me if I would like to receive one item as a promotional item compliments of Lulu! I almost cried on the spot!!! How kind and generous of a group of smart, fit, beautiful women to offer me a chance to get a new pair of pants that I would not have been able to purchase. I am now HOOKED on the High Times pant thanks to these girls!!! The full-on Luxtreme material is amazing, completely opaque, and shapes your legs and booty so well. The customer service, personal interaction, and kindness of the Lulu community is one reason that I am willing to drop a small fortune on their clothes. I kickbox, and the pants i bought here were perfect for that - they don't bunch and are made with compression material for a comfortable and breathable but still tight fitting and fashionable workout. to be honest, i couldn't shop here regularly for workout gear, at least not without a giftcard or discount or some sort, but the pants are great. you can get them hemmed any time for free by the store. they'll pin up the pants while you're wearing them, then you pay for it, they take it to the georgetown store for hemming and ship it back to the store where you bought it or you can arrange to pick it up from any store that's near you. the sales associates there are really enthusiastic and helpful. i can tell that they love the clothes themselves and are really "sold" on the brand. at one point, i had 3 people helping me try on a dozen articles of clothing. i like some of their tops - one was really fashionable and unique and i could see myself just wearing it around the house to lounge in or at yoga or even at a club. if you like similar clothes at slightly more reasonable prices, athleta.com is a good source. read more

I feel like I'm being judged every time I walked inside this store. The workers always make eye contact with me when I go into the store but rarely ask if I need help nor do they offer a greeting. The few times they did pay attention to what I was looking for, they spoke very condescendingly towards me and I felt like they were trying to humiliate me in some way. Since my last year was two years ago I thought I'd write an update. So, I'm still a fan! While Lululemon's active apparel can be quite pricey, they are totally worth it. I now own many items from shorts to tanks to crops to hoodies. I love every single item I have ever bought in that store and they have outlasted any other workout apparel I own. They hardly shrink, colors are still vibrant, there are no holes and no gross pit stains in sight. The only reason I keep coming back to buy more things is so I can eventually replace my old raggedy non-Lululemon items. The staff is friendly every time I come here and are always going above and beyond to meet my needs. It's also on the non-crazy side of Tysons so it's nice to pop in and out in peace. They no longer offer Sunday yoga classes inside the store however they do team up with a local yoga studio once a quarter and host classes at that studio. It makes so much more sense. Even though you have to travel elsewhere, this method gives you the full effect of practicing in a studio and the classes are still free. You can't beat that. My only complaint is somehow I am always hot in this store to the point where I am dripping sweat. Is it to simulate hot yoga? All I know is it makes it pretty unpleasant to try on clothes. read more

The Associate Manager and "Key Leader" (as they identified themselves to me) were extremely condescending, and verbalized that we were wasting their time. Well the attitude and smirks explained their mostly empty store. Although I can't say it was specifically because of race, I will be honest that both employees were white and I was one of the only POC/non-white customers in the store.
