Came in with my wife, weren't greeted or offered assistance, despite there being very few other customers (two?). An elderly employee was sure to let us know that we were in the way multiple times as she was putting inventory back in drawers. My wife tried on a couple bra's, felt uncomfortable, and we left. Went to Victoria's secret where we were greeted with smiles, an offer to take measurements, and shown around the store after a brief discussion of preferences. Went into Soma because I was having a last-minute wardrobe malfunction after dinner at Ruth's Chris, and my husband and I were in a rush to get to a concert. Yasmeen greeted us right away and provided excellent customer service from the start. I told her I was looking for a specific style of undergarment, "boy shorts", and she immediately went to the back to grab a pair for me to try. When that one wasn't quite what I was looking for, she quickly brought me another option, and it was exactly what I needed. On top of that, I was wearing a blazer dress that had lint all over it. My husband casually asked if they happened to have a lint roller, and Yasmeen didn't hesitate, she said, "I do! I got you!" Total lifesaver. I ran to the dressing room to put the shorts on while my husband checked out, and when I came back out, he already had the lint roller in hand. I visited this location in the Pavilions (on Fair Oaks Blvd near Howe Ave.). I was so pleased with the personable customer service provided by Liz. I let her know I have been on a journey to find a good bra. After I let her know what I was looking for, she took my measurements. She also let me know some facts about the different types of bras. I learned about some of the science behind bras from Liz. Needless to say she gave me a few bras to try out and to my amazement she found the perfect one for me! I was so excited to not have to do anymore searching at different stores! The quality of the products and prices are great. Liz has excellent customer service and is very knowledgeable. Thank you Liz! You made my day! The store is bright and welcoming. There is a wide variety of women's lingerie, and under garments. The vibe of the store is like a nice cozy boutique. I love soma products they're very good quality and comfortable. The only thing that dissatisfies me every time I came to this store is the old lady I guess she's the manager or something. Always rude to customers yelling at customers at the first time I came in, I asked for smaller size of one bra and she said she only had whatever appeared in front of me. But the younger lady came to help me find it from the back of the store I really appreciated that. If you're not happy with your job you should not work here. It really ruins the atmosphere for shopping. All the other staff were so nice and friendly except this old lady who never smiles and lacks of service mind. I'm so upset with her service. Soma is a high-end women's lingerie, clothing, and swimsuit company with a vast array of quality inventory in a small boutique type of store with outstanding customer service. This particular location has been off my radar until recently when I was in the Pavilion Lanes Shopping Center and popped in for a needed item. I was again reminded how much emphasis is placed on helping the customer enjoy an always over-the-top shopping experience. It is truly memorable when a salesperson takes the time and effort to assist you in finding the perfect product. Yana, sales manager extraordinaire, was relentless (in a very good way), scouring the drawers and back of the store for my pursuit of the right sizes and colors. I really appreciated her efforts, product knowledge, and fun personality! Thank you, Yana! All Soma stores are basically laid out the same. Beautifully organized and priced quite reasonably, in my opinion. They have a rewards program, which I happily belong to with generous coupons throughout the year (including a birthday $ bonus). I was returning bras I had ordered online that were not the correct size (which I probably should have just gone into the store in the first place for a proper fit!). The amazing associate that helped me was Yasmine. She was wonderful! So patient, helpful and knowledgeable. She measured me and I told her my preferences. She brought me what I had originally ordered (in the right size) and I had asked for some additional options. She offered her much appreciated input and also showed me something that I probably wouldn't have even tried, and let me just say, that was the perfect bra! I had a really great first time experience at Soma. I was overdue for new bras and was unsure on my size. Love that I didn't have to go to a mall to visit this store. Sales associate was great! According to my receipt her name is Yana. She measured me, brought me several options to try and even tho she appeared to be busy, kept returning to check on the fit of the bras she'd brought me. I love Soma products! I have been a customer for years now and had a store in Houston that I loved previous to moving here. This particular store is close to me which is why I go. The customer service varies each time I go. For some reason they are always busy and or short staffed and it takes forever to get a greeting and or questioned answered about a product. They eventually help me but now I usually go to just get what I want, pay and leave. The three rating is because I love Soma, I just don't enjoy the service in this store in particular. If you don't need specialized help, it's good, but if you need to get fitted or just help, go with ample time and patience. read more

I think her name was Yana was the snobbiest person i have come across in a very long time. She made me feel like since i am plus size i have no business being in there and i am not good enough to be shopping in there. When I called about a manufacturing problem with the bra that I purchased which I had not wore yet because it was strapless, I bought at the end of December beginning of January... When I called , the manager said, basically said it's not their problem if you do not take it back within 60 days . I said it was a manufacturing problem. I did not want my money back what I wanted was a new bra that was comfortable to wear instead of having the bones gouge me in the side. I was told I could take it in for them to inspect, but she could not assure anything to me? WHY MAKE THE TRIP IF YOUR ALREADY TELLING ME THIS IS MY FAULT?!! As the manager consistently talked over me while I was talking and basically is telling me she CANNOT help me since I did not know there was a problem with the bra and I waited longer Than I should've I guess... This has become my go-to store for everyday comfortable bras but I'm finding they've got some super cute styles in both bras and panties too! Customer service at this location is great. There was one woman who was seriously like a "bra whisperer" but I did not see her on my last visit. Still, the sales associate who worked with me most recently was very helpful and attentive. I had her do a measurement on me, and while I'm not convinced the size she picked out was the right one, I appreciate the service she provided. I came in to try on bras based on a referral from a friend. I was not only surprised by the fact that you carried my size in the store, but that someone knew how to properly size a bra, and that she was someone I could relate too. Lynelle was OUTSTANDING, professional & informative. Having someone who could relay WHY she liked the bras she was recommending I try on, was outstanding. She was totally professional and even made my husband feel at home. She was direct and funny. Lynelle was full of "Why this bra works for what you want it to do & this is why it's better, & we can order it for you." I came to try some stuff on. In October I would have given 5 stars, but now NO STARS! I purchased 4 bras, in two styles, and several new panties. The sale representative was new, but very helpful and thoughtful. I realized one of the 2 styles dug into my chest so I sat them aside (with the tags still on). I waited until after Christmas to go into the store and exchange; due to Christmas shoppers and the fact I worked four straights weeks leading up to Christmas. Last week, I went into exchange for the style that fits properly. I was told they were unable to exchange the bras. A little confused as to why, I was informed they had a 60 day return policy. I was not told this a time of purchase and it is not posted in the store. I had the merchandise for 68 days; one would think a boutique like this would make an attempt for better customer service. I originally went to exchange a bra I order online since they had their buy one get one half off sale, its their seamless wireless in a neutral color but I noticed that that's their most popular so they did t have it in store nor online which I was a bit disappointed. I love Soma products. The sleepwear is the best ever, no bunching and keeps you cooler at night while sleeping. I had been purchasing the sleepwear for a long time. You know for us women over 30 something, lol. I finally tried on and purchased bra's from them over a year ago and fell in love. I had been purchasing a Bali bra for many year's prior, but switched right away after trying these on and wearing them. Once again due to comfort and longevity. So for the price you pay, they will last. The customer service at this store is outstanding and I have to say, they really go above and beyond to assist you, whether you are familiar or not with their products. As for the past customer complaining about returns. I have had to return item's here several times, and have had no issues. Printed on the receipt is the return policy, which states 60 days. Just return within that time and they take it back no questions asked. The only bad thing I have to say about soma, is the sizing can vary from product to product. Even the same bra's. So try them on and make sure is fit's well, unless you want to have to take it back. Given that there is only one location here in Sac, I would say it is time consuming, so try it on. read more

I adore Soma. If you are in search for the 'one and only bra' this is the place. I used to hate bra shopping because I never could find a proper fitting bra. Well, Soma is the ONLY lingerie I purchase now. Soma bras are pricey but absolutely luxurious. They are very high quality, incredibly comfortable and long lasting. Trust me ladies, these are THE bras to wear. They are marketed toward an older crowd (especially with this location being in the Pavilions, there are usually older customers in the store) but I'm in my mid 20's and love these bras. I've bought Victoria Secret bras and the quality does not compare what so ever. You don't realize how cheap Victoria Secret bras feel until you touch and wear a Soma bra. Their underwear is also amazing. It's so soft and luxurious. They have panty raid sales and usually have undies for something like 7 for $35. Yes, their expensive but I promise, worth every penny. This location is lovely and the customer service is top notch. I am always helped by the manager or assistant manager and they are both wonderful. They always size me so I get the proper fitting bra. When I'm trying bras on they check the fit to make sure I have the correct size. Thanks to the advice of the manager, I use a lingerie bag now to wash my bras and they have lasted so much longer. I just pop my bras in the bag, wash them with my other clothes and hang dry. I love Soma! read more

First I want to say I wrote a review on Soma website regarding a product. However since it was a true account of this horrible product they rejected to post my review. If your review is not positive they will post your review. This sums up what kind of company this is and how they deal with any issue. I purchased 2 bralettes and found it was made very cheaply, the sizing is wrong, it's hard to get on and it was very, very uncomfortable. I called Soma customer service to return the item and was advise to use the return label provided with the product and bring to the post office. Two weeks later I called and ask what is going on...they tell me they never received the items. They also said they it takes 3-4 weeks for the mail to get the envelope to their company. As everyone knows it does not take 3-4 weeks for a envelope to go from Arizona to Georgia! When I asked for the tracking number which was on their return label so I may research with the post office, they REFUSED to give it to me. Every time I call customer service I am on hold for an hour. read more

On May 6, 2022, at approximately 6:40pm I arrived at the Soma store located in the Pavilions shopping center in Sacramento, CA. I have shopped at this location for years now and have always enjoyed my experience until today. When I entered, I immediately greeted the two employees by saying "hello". I was excited to finally make it to the store and shop as I received gift cards. Upon me sharing that I was "ready to shop" one of the sales associates (this could have been the manager thinking about it now) said they were closing at 7pm. This individual said it in an impolite manner and firmly. The tone and delivery came off rude, disrespectful, and completely unprofessional. In my opinion, a poor example of customer service. I thought for a second maybe it was my presentation when I entered the store or maybe because I'm a woman of color. I had already planned to rush as I did not want to entrude on their business hours. I was already aware that the store closed at 7pm and drove across town. I asked the sales associate why said told me the store hours and she said because I shared that wanted to shop and that the store closes at 7pm. If this is the case why keep the store open at 6:40pm. I further shared that I would be making a complaint and I asked for her name. This individual declined to provide me her name, she said she "didn't need to give me her name." Soma if arriving at your store is too inconvenient for your staff please advise future patrons so they don't waste their time at your store! read more

I went here for the first time about a year ago for a new bra. The employees were all very nice, friendly, and helpful. That's the only good thing I have to say. The woman who helped me didn't know how to measure correctly, and calculated my measurements quite a bit smaller than what they are. I explained this to her, but she said that's what the measurements were showing. So I could only get my correct size by trying on bras until we found one that fit me correctly. Even then, the bra never felt that great, and I should have just returned it but I didn't - my bad. Now at only a year later the bra's underwires have broken through through and are painfully poking me, necessitating a new bra. Decent bras last longer than just a year! It's so hard to find my size bra in this area, and I'm disappointed that the only nearby place that does is incompetent. Thank god the merchandise sells itself! I will avoid this location at all costs in the future. I went into Soma this past Sunday and the customer service was atrocious! I counted at least 4 older women working, but you would never have guessed that by the lack of service they provided. I am a single mother of a toddler so I had my 16 month old son on my hip when I walked in the door. I knew I had a very small window to get the bras I needed and go before he was no longer tolerable. I was desperate for new bras that fit and my favorite older bras all come from Soma so I knew I could quickly find what I needed if I was appropriately helped. I was greeted when I walked in the door, but no one introduced themselves or asked if they could help me find anything. All the associates were too busy folding to even look up when I walked toward them to ask a question. I was one of 4 customers in the store so they were definitely not too busy to provide help. Once I found the clearance rack, I began searching, baby in arms, for my size. An associate literally stepped in front of me as I searched the rack and didn't look behind her to see I was trying to get by. I had to say "excuse me" to get her attention in a nearly empty store. I didn't even realize she was an associate until she walked behind the register. So rude! So I was struggling to find my size and gather bras in my arms, and no one offered to start a fitting room for me until I had at least 5 bras I was trying to juggle. I knew I couldn't put my son down because he would destroy everything in the store, but there were literally associates (I didn't even know they worked there until later) wandering around not helping me. Finally when I piled some bras on the checkout counter to manage on my own, one of the sales women asked if I was ready to try stuff on. The only helpful thing any of the associates did was give me the larger room so I had space for my son to run around. She told me to poke my head out if I needed additional sizes or styles. When I finally needed more options in my best fit, I had to figure out how to go half dressed into the store while making sure my son wasn't destroying the fitting room to ask for more sizes. And the other associate who got me more sizes didn't even get the right size I requested. The first woman who was helping me said to her coworker, "oh, you didn't have to do that." Um, yes, she did. Someone needed to help me, I didn't care who and I was half naked and trying to manage a toddler! I would have left right then, but the quality of the bras and the fact that I have very few windows of opportunity made me stick it out. Finally after the first associate told me she was going on lunch while I was trying bras on in the dressing room, I was asked by other associates twice if they could help! I was finally at the point where I needed to wrap up so that was far too little too late. I ended up spending over $110 for 4 bras that I love, but I would definitely not recommend this store to anyone looking to get decent customer service. Even with an empty store these women couldn't be bothered to provide good service to a mother desperate for good fitting quality bras. Thank god the merchandise sells itself! I will avoid this location at all costs in the future. I don't know if they didn't think I would buy because I don't look wealthy, but I was actually offended by how dismissive and unhelpful every associate was and they did not deserve any commission made. read more

Ok this review is LONG overdue. Have known about SOMA since they were at arden faire mall but was never brave enough to venture in. Finally stopped at pavilions location. Wasn't sure what to expect when I entered the store. Was greeted immediately and the ladies were SO welcoming! I explained my somewhat unique shopping situation ("ok yes I'm male and shopping for ...well... me!") which is not something I would expect to be received warmly at an intimate store like this. To my pleasant surprise I was immediately welcomed and they were so understanding and helpful! I was set at ease and asked what I was looking for. Along with my initial choices they helped by suggesting several items but were never pushy or salesy. My first experience at SOMA was wonderfully discreet, comforting, educational, and fun. Prices are within range of other similar quality stores and products. Whenever I've shopped with Jessica, she has been every bit the patient, knowledgeable, and attentive professional while explaining sizing and options even for special orders. She made me feel completely welcome and comfortable and for that she has a lifetime customer. She is an absolute ANGEL (the real deal....from heaven and everything)! Thank you SO MUCH Jessica!!! I should also say that during visits where I missed Jessica, each of the ladies working there have been so wonderful and sweet. If I could give this place more stars I would! I went in for a bra fitting and to buy the undergarments for my wedding dress. I hadn't been fitted for a bra in years, and it was way overdue. Getting fitted for a bra is on the same fun scale as going to the gyco for me. Just not fun, awkward, and uncomfortable. Also, I really didn't want to go to Victoria's Secret. After researching alternates I Yelp, I picked Soma. I went on a Saturday afternoon, and was greeted by Jessica. I told her why I was there, and she was the best. She took my measurements, and brought me several different bras to try on, checking each one until I had the right fit and size. I was in fact wearing the wrong size. Not only is that not a problem anymore, but I also found good options for every day bras while I was there. The bra I ended up choosing to wear under my wedding dress is one of the most comfortable I've ever worn, AND it's beautiful.
