The store was well-organized, clean, and offered a great variety of clothing - both in-season styles and some amazing clearance finds from past collections. What made the visit stand out was the friendly and very helpful staff. They weren't just polite- they were genuinely welcoming and more than willing to assist with sizes, styling tips, and helping me find exactly what I was looking for. Krystal, Roxy and Vicky were there when I stopped in the store and their level of service was unmatched. They all went above and beyond and I was picking up an order as well as shopping for some new bras and panties and what an exceptional experience. Because of their service, I will be back. I also called this store a couple of times to ensure my pick-up order would be held, and both times, the women on the phone were also so nice. At the end of my visit they thanked me for coming in and shopping at their store, and it was incredibly genuine. When I moved to Elk Grove five years ago, I frequented this location because it was close by. However, I wasn't very impressed with the service or the clothing. For a while, Lane Bryant's styles felt too young for me. Plus when I walked in, they would do the perfunctory greeting, but go back to talking to each other. They would also be talking to themselves when they were processing your purchases. That is one of my biggest pet peeves. So I stopped going to this location. However, I've recently seen more suitable styles so I went in to check it out. Their service has gotten better. They're very attentive and very helpful. Every staff member I've encountered has provided me with great service and it's been a joy to come in. During my post SIP visits, I've seen them implement strict safety protocols. They wipe down every dressing room after each person exits. They separate the clothes that have been tried on and don't return it to the sales floor right away. They also wipe down their counters and machines after each check out transaction. Their attention to detail is very commendable. A few weeks ago, I came with my friend who was looking for bras. Their staff spent a dedicated hour helping her out. They made helpful suggestions and ordered items they didn't have at their store. My friend was able to find the items she was looking for and then some. All in all, my experiences have been very positive. I can't wait to go back to check out their Fall styles. read more

This store sells anything from clothing, scarfs, flip flops, to bras and underwear!!! It's really for full figured women. It can get pricey, but if you need it...YOU NEED IT!!! I've been here a few times now. As you walk in...all their clothing line is neatly displayed! They have some great looking shirts! There's always someone to greet you as you walk in. I feel bad for them because it looks like they're continuously refolding after messy people. This place is great. If you haven't been measured for a bra lately, they can help!! I met Amy today for the first time and she told me about LB's new personal shopper service (What!?! Ok we are stepping it up ten notches here, go Lane Bryant!). I commented to Amy that I am impressed and excited about the festive and fun collection of options this season; the different fabric textures, weight, colors, necklines for the holiday season. I shop here sometimes because the store is close by and their bras fit me and are reasonably priced. However, about three times out of five, I pick out what I want and then I wait at the register. And wait. And wait. And then I get tired of waiting and I walk out without getting what I needed because I actually have other things to do throughout the day. Either the register systems at Lane Bryant are the slowest possible registers available in America, or the management hires its clerks based solely on their ability to leave no conversational stone left unturned with the person at the counter. My experience here was not a pleasant one. I was very polite and friendly even smiled after my purchase but the cashier at the register did not do the same. How is it possible that a customer would have better customer service than the cashier who actually gets paid for working at the store? There's a part of me that felt like the cashier was judging how I look and treated differently because I wasn't Caucasian. The manager at this store is a very rude and unprofessional. I go in there a lot and spend a lot of money because I like their clothes but after today I REFUSE to go back to this store . I returned clothes the manager first tried to talk me out of it and make me try on the pants then asked me if I was lying about wearing an 18 when I really wear a 16 then was rude and basically threw my money at me and didn't give me a recepit back for the shorts I did keep. I feel like the reviewers here went to a different Lane Bryant than the one I frequent. I bought all of my X Mas presents for my mom and lady friends here and some quality bras all at 50% off during Black Friday. I had an issue with two bras and returned them with no problem. The clerk even sent one to my house because they didn't have it in stock. I am also non white, and have never felt any hint of prejudice from Any clerk. Also, I am a smaller size. And although some other customers look me up and down sometimes when I am in the store, the clerks are nothing but super professional and nice to me. I received an email from Lane Bryant how everything in the Store was going to be 50 percent off. 50 percent off, I am there. I went and bought a couple of shirts, and they were having a clearance sale for some of their jewelry. I was so excited because there was this beautiful pair of citrine earrings that I had been eyeing but did not want to spend a lot of money on it. I go there on the 15th, the day after Valentine's day and was able to get the same earrings for 5 dollars. Needless to say, I was very happy buying some Valentine's day gifts for myself because no one else is going to do it for me. I have never encountered any rude customer service personnel. Their customer service is so bad at this store I cant even begin to explain. Ive had to make multiple complaints to corporate and to the managers but nothing seems to change. I agree with the other review that said the wait time to check out is usually horrendous. I honestly dont even shop here anymore except to have items delivered from the website or fashionbug.com so I can get free shipping. I've had numerous problems with that as well. One was that the wrong item was shipped and the store basically told me to go screw myself and refused to help me, it was resolved over the phone with corporate. Today it was 100% the stores fault again because they did not check an item in I had been waiting for. I called fashionbug first to confirm it was delivered and it was a week ago.. I called to make sure they could find it before I drove over and explained that I never got the email that said it was in. The employee that answered the phone was incredibly snarky and said that they probably hadnt received it yet.. of course she didnt let me finish what I was saying. I am usually happy with Lane Bryant but today I am not happy with their business practice. Today Lane Bryant announced a sale for jeans 39.99 . I purchase some jeans online and but one pair of jeans were sold out the Power pocket super stretch skinny ankle jean faux pearl cuff. I went to the Stockton store and the nice young lady to me the jeans were on clearance but she was sold out. She call another Lane Bryant in Stockton and Elk Grove neither store had my size . So on my way home I went to the Elk Grove store where I did find the jeans in clearance "Buy on get one free section" but for $78.00. I grab the jeans and the sweater as the free item, but I wanted to check the price of the jeans since the store signs stated $39.99 and online the website stated $39.99. The I ask the cashier to double check the pants price and she stated $ 78.00 . I informed her of the sale price of 39.99 on the website. She said she checked the website and said it's $78.00 but she could give it to me for $39.99 but it would not part of the clearance buy one get one free. It still a clearance it but for the wrong price. I walked out the store with no purchase and went to my car to check the price on website again and it's still $39.99 for the same jean. I just ordered $300 from Lane Bryant today online, due to this young lady not thinking outside of the box and trying to meet daily sales for her store, I will return my entire to her store!!!!!!! read more

I do not shop much but when I do, I noticed the type of service I get from different workers. Today, I walked in looking for a sport bra and a very nice lady name Barbara approached me to offer her assistant. She is a matured 45+ yr old employee. She helped me search for a second bra because it was buy one get 2nd one for half. The younger employee told Barbara that they do not have any more and that was the only one at the store. The young worker didn't even bothered to look it up in the computer nor did she went to check the back stockroom. Barbara went to search and she found me a 2nd one. This place is a great place to shop for plus sizes clothes and the best services came from Barbara (the matured and experienced gal). Thank you, Barbara! I have been an LB shopper for a long time and used to find the Elk Grove store to be a great place. However, over the past several months there has been a huge deline in the appearance, staffing and efficiency of the store. The front of the store smells like spoiled milk, the fitting rooms need some serious attention to cleaning, especially the carpet. The go-backs are unattended, and there's never enough staff to provide customer assistance. Really, LB, get a grip or find management that can adequately staff and present the store properly. read more
