The food here is really good. Got the mushroom burrito bowl and I was not expecting it to be so flavorful. A lot Mexican restaurants can't do vegetarian dishes very well but this place does. Yesterday, I had tried Sombrero Tacoria for the first time. I had ordered the Birria Tacos ($15.00) and a Guava Jarritos Soda (3.00). Everything turned out great - my drink was fruity and refreshing, while the Birria Tacos were very flavorful. Sombrero's give me "Tacoria" and "Chipotle" feels, with the way the make their menu items. The only complaint, if any is, 15.00 for 3 tacos (+ consumme), which means....$5.00 a taco? Again, I'm not complaining, but isn't that a little pricey for a taco...I understand it's Birria, but make 3.99? Well, above all good ambiance, service, and good. I strongly recommend staying away from this awful Mexican restaurant. With so many great options in Ridgewood and the surrounding neighborhoods, there's no reason to waste your time or money here. I ordered four tacos today. Two of them had tortillas with holes, making them nearly impossible to eat. The shrimp taco had just two tiny shrimp--ridiculous. The chips were stale, and the guacamole was brown. Totally unappetizing. When I contacted the restaurant, they didn't offer a refund--just said I could come back and they'd "try again." But I had already gone home, deconstructed the tacos just to eat something, and tossed the chips and guac in the trash. That's not the kind of resolution I was looking for. Ok only ordered from this place for lunch so I have no idea what the restaurant looks like or how the table service is, but all I can say their online ordering service, delivery, and food, was on point! We ordered $200 worth of food for the office and thought to Do a trial run because we have two birthdays in the office next week. We figured if the food and delivery service was good, there's an expansive menu that would allow us to order again the next week. I placed the order on a Wednesday afternoon for a Thursday afternoon delivery and was praying that their online ordering system didn't crash or not take the order because it was too much money- neither happened, Thank God and delivery was ON TIME the following day! Almost all orders came according to everyone's preference, with a few random hiccups here and there, but nothing major. Everyone in the office super quiet eating the their lunch and no complaints came from the staff. I wish I had taken a picture of all the food, but we're usually really hungry and dive right in since we work through lunch. Everyone had ordered different menu items and all items were recommended- from their burritos, to the bowls, to the individual tacos, to their nacho fries- this place did not disappoint. They have a variety of types, single tacos, trios, burritos, dorados, bowls, and bunch of appetizers, desserts and drinks. Loved the way they cook the chicken and tilapia fish for the tacos. They have both indoor and outdoor seating. Indoor space is little tight. The place is mostly self service. But they do a decent job of putting out orders within a short time. It's a different chorizo from other Mexican places it was more like Polska sausage but at the end it was ok. The nachos don't have scallions, jalapeños, or enough pico de Gallo. The horchata drink it was really good $4 for a med size. I went on a Monday, parking wasn't a issue but on the weekends parking may be a little hard.
