My Cody had been on previous classes with a different trainer but there were lots of basics that were not mastered at all. The dog would barely listen which is the most important and most basic skill you'd need. She took him in and patiently but determinedly worked on him from the basics all the way to an obedient dog. Our dog had excessive car anxiety and over-reactiveness towards other dogs and she managed to work extensively on these issues in addition to all the basic and advanced obedience commands that a dog should possess. She even developed a plan to get him to a service dog level and the outcome has been amazing. Her approach of taking the dog in, training the dog herself for a period of time, then delivering the dog and continuing on an ongoing basis with the dog's owner is brilliant as the dog needs to not only learn all she teaches but also learn to follow the same discipline from the dog's owner. That's precisely the reason for transferring over the dog back to it's owner at a certain point. Once the dog is transferred over back to its owner, she continues to deliver lessons on a recurring basis both with and without the dog's owner and she very thoughtfully accommodates to the owner's schedule and specific needs/concerns. Creepy vets These are just a few gd reasons why we travel so far. Our Darby Darling: We lost our paw princess Sat., 7am on 4/24/21 as she quietly fell asleep in death over nite. Windermere Vet #10: We went to our 10th Windermere vet 3 miles fm our hm. We decided to engage the Windermere vet, during the pandemic, for just such an emerg. Their Sat. hrs. were 8am-1230pm but it was dark bet. 8am-10am. We saw 6 cars at the annex bld, knocked on the glassdoor, a male waved for us to wait, turned sideways, cont. on his call, not mindful enough to call another staffer, & we waited til 10am. They kept us waiting fm 8am-10am. We were the only customer car in the lot & all lites were off. We finally called Countryside, left, & took the hr. drive down the 429 to I4. Countryside: We wiped our well groomed little girl, dressed her in her lovely yellow floral dress, laid her on her fuchsia ladybug blanket, rolled her yellow blankie under her head, & placed her in her cozy bed. When he came back in with the vet my poor suffering baby tried to get under my husband's legs but all she could do was move her head but he came over and pinned her head to the floor while the vet came in and killed her. My poor baby suffered so badly the last 10 minutes of her life because this guy who calls himself a nurse tortured her. He tortured her. He had his hands around her throat as he was pinning her head down. She was tortured to death instead of peacefully leaving this earth. I finally found it after driving around looking for 45 minutes and calling multiple times for directions. By this point they considered me a "no show" without once calling to see where I was (why ask for a phone number if you don't plan to use it??). If you have a fearful and anxious, three month old puppy, which was stated in all of the paperwork, then DO NOT hire Pawfection. If you want your three month old, fearful and an anxious puppy to be labeled as "aggressive "after being blown in the face twice by a canister of CO2 then do not hire Pawfection. If you want your three month old puppy to get the piss, literally, scared out of him by getting blasted in the face with CO2, then hire Pawfection. If you want your puppy to cower against a window or in their crate, their safe place, but then get approached by the person that scared the living piss out of him with the canister of CO2 and try to put a leash on him, where he gives a warning growl, which then labels your three month old fearful and anxious puppy, who was just scared to death and approached in his safe zone by some stranger, reaching over his head to put a leash on him then hire Pawfection. If you want to sit through an almost 2 hour PowerPoint presentation of almost 90 slides of outdated information that you can find in the Internet, then higher Pawfection. If you want to be told what to purchase off of Amazon, after learning that she invested in Amazon years ago, then hire Pawfection. If you want to listen to them talk poorly about their competitors (by name), speak poorly of food companies while promoting a specific brand, or listen to anything negative that isn't related to them, then hire Pawfection. If you want to learn more about perfection and how involved they are with the industry and you want to learn how they can benefit if you purchase things off Amazon, then hire Pawfection. If you want your trainer to come 30 minutes late while your puppy is in the crate because you're told that the puppy needs to be in the crate during the first part of the training (keep in mind he's 3 months so his bladder isn't fully formed), then higher Pawfection. If you want a total of 20 minutes of actual interaction with your puppy for training, keep in mind a three month old fearful and anxious puppy, then hire Pawfection. If you want a "one size fits all, special sauce training", then higher, Pawfection. If a toddler were afraid to enter their classroom at the start of the school year, would you use a scare tactic to get them to do what you want them to and not address the fear and anxiety? I cannot speak for other methods of training or other dogs who need training aside from a fearful and anxious puppy, but if you have a three month old fearful and anxious puppy, then my recommendation is DO NOT hire Pawfection. If my dog was labeled "aggressive " (keep in mind what caused the cowering and growl) due to being scared in his safe place that was intruded, then why would they book us for a puppy play date at their facility with other puppies for the following week? I'm ready for the response as I know that it will be defensive, blaming, rude, aggressive, and no accountability is taken. I can predict this due to other negative reviews that were left behind and how the owners respond. But I feel that dog owners who have a puppy very similar to mine should see this review. We used zero of their tactics and zero of their recommendations. We found better products and better food than recommended. We found a different trainer and now our puppy is doing amazing and it's thriving. Perfection was a waste of money, but a lesson learned. Probably less than one star of that was an option.
