I worked at Terranova as an Executive, with direct visibility into sales, operations, employees, compensation, and customer projects.
The company is extremely disorganized, employee turnover is constant, and leadership is highly unpredictable. Employees are frequently fired or replaced within a few months, which creates obvious problems for customers expecting continuity on large, expensive projects.
Mike and Lorie regularly bring personal conflict into the workplace. I witnessed yelling, fighting during company meetings, disrespect toward each other, and inappropriate treatment of employees. You never know what environment you're walking into on any given day.
One of your biggest concerns should be Mike & Lorie's dishonesty and communication. In my experience, Mike repeatedly makes statements to employees and clients that are false, misleading, or directly contradicted what had actually happened. I also witnessed negative and, in my view, untrue statements being made about employees after conflicts or terminations. Different versions of events would be told to different people, which made it extremely difficult to trust internal communication.
There were also constant unspoken expectations and shifting directions. Employees spent too much time trying to anticipate ownership's reactions instead of simply doing their jobs and serving customers.
I personally experienced commission discrepancies as well. I've never been paid correctly in the entirety of my career here. I would strongly recommend that any employee or contractor independently track every sale, commission, agreement, and payment, or just not work here at all. That will benefit you best.
For customers, my advice is simple: GO SOMEWHERE ELSE. That simple.
There are employees there who genuinely care and try to do good work, but based on what I witnessed internally, I would not personally trust this company with anything.
