I'm going to begin this by saying that my son, Salem (red hair 6 year old with autism and adhd wearing black shorts and a red USA shirt), and I (my name is Lea by the way), stopped by for some family time with a friend today. I've promised my son all week that my friend is coming over today and we were going to go out for milkshakes, which we did. See, I know you did judge me by what I was wearing because I can't afford a lot being a single parent without assistance from the other half of his DNA. I'm not the typical shopper you have that usually stops by. Fair enough. I have diligently taught my son how to handle fragile things with both hands and a gentleness to avoid any mistakes. We came here at the very end of family time, Salem was absolutely wearing down from being around a lot of people and after enjoying a rare milkshake from Strackland's. Upon seeing beautifully decorated Christmas ornaments, he did pick one up. Usually, I honestly wouldn't have an issue with this, but the feeling I had upon arrival was not a welcoming feeling as previously stated. One of the women rushed to my side, automatically with annoyance (the kind lady with the light strawberry blonde hair behind the counter was genuinely pleasant with us). She made it a point to automatically pick up the price tag (which was completely warranted in my opinion, it was the the way things were handled after). Now, my son is kind and gentle, however, he is full of chocolate milkshake and getting tired (read above also autistic) and starting to wear out. She then says to my son who did flick the ornament (Salem isn't perfect, I don't expect my son to be, and he knows better, but was also exploring, also not an excuse and I do apologize for what he did). Then I was told by the lady I don't think your mom wants to pay for that if you break it while looking me up and down. Then proceeded to hit my with the back of her hand on my arm while walking away. I didn't say anything, just headed out rather than pressing charges. People need to learn to NOT lay hands on somebody ESPECIALLY in their place of work. This shop is just divine-enchanting-a feast for the senses. It starts with the heavenly aroma when you walk through the door, and then the eyes take over. I was there in late September, so they had fall and decor items galore. Be still my heart! Here come the feels! So much to look at, and all of it unique-things I just haven't seen elsewhere. Lots of gorgeous quality pieces. Some of it was out of my price range, but that's okay-I can save. I can't wait to go back in a couple of weeks, and see what they've added. I could drop some serious coin in here. Lots of unique home decor items ranging from candles to server hutches and everything in between. The coolest thing I laid my eyes on was a kitchen food panty/dresser. It was white with a bit of a stressed look. Not quite Shabby Chic, but similar. For $375, it wasn't a bad deal and I may consider getting it if I cannot find something a little cheaper for my cocina pretty soon. I picked up some candles, and bounced like I'm rubbery. The guy working in the store was really cool too and I definitely plan on a return visit sooner than later. read more

Best smelling store in town but not overpowering to make you nauseous. This store is always a wonder for the senses no matter the season. My favorite season in the fall and holidays because this store always has beautiful trees decorated. My favorite area in the store is the children's section were the blankets are the softest I have ever felt. They also have the most adorable hooded jacket and muff combo with bunny ears. read more

The store is beautiful, however the retail associate, an older woman, was quite rude. I returned a bottle of hand lotion that I bought as a gift. The person I bought it for didnt like it, so I returned it for a refund. This associate not only said that I was the first person to return this lotion, but she also remarked that this isn't the place for you to shop. How rude. Can you imagine saying that to a customer who returned one item??? It is terrible that a nice store like this hires rude individuals to say something so mean. This store wont' retain me as a customer. read more

I stumbled into this shop while my daughter and her performing arts group was practicing for a show during the Dunedin Christmas parade. The stage was located across the street from the shop and as I am walking around the store I can hear the children singing. One of the shop owners was so rude and made a comment that they did not want to hear that noise and they needed to shut the door among other words. They had no idea who was around, but being one of the parents of the children on the stage I thought that was very ill mannered and not a very good way to promote your business. Instead I walked over to the shop across the street and spent ALOT of my money there . read more

I am very disappointed to say that one of my favorite stores in downtown Dunedin, FL, has turned into my least favorite. I've enjoyed doing business at this quaint store until we had an issue with the owner on returning an item. I surprised my mother with a gift from this store, a bath robe, and was told that if it didn't fit, or she didn't want it, it could be returned as long as we had the receipt. The return policy even sits right next to the cash register assuring you, as a customer, that you will be able to return your item if you need to for a refund. When my mother did indeed want to return this item, they did not honor what they had told me, or what they post in their return notice on their front desk. My mother never used this bath robe, other than trying it on and promptly returning it back to the store. When she tried to return the robe, she was refused to have it accepted and exchanged for the value of it. After my mother explained that she did not like this robe, she asked for the amount to be put back on the credit card that I purchased it with, or a simple refund of the money. My mother was very rudely told by the owner because she couldn't fold it the way the factory folded it, she was not willing to take it back. She forgot to look to her right, and see the display of all the robes out of the packaging and hanging on hangars, not folded, that are for sale also. The owner looked at my mother and said, "You don't expect me to take a loss on this do you?" The only other option that the owner offered was to exchange the size for a smaller one, but would not refund the money or the credit card. My mother was so stunned by this treatment to a long time paying customer, that she took the smaller robe, which she didn't want, and has never even opened it, or used it and is still sitting in the bag in her closet. The owner didn't even care about keeping a long time local customer, but instead, was more worried about her loss of money over a returned bath robe. read more
