Town Village represents to their tenant's that if they are absent from the facility for 5 days they will receive a meal credit on their billing statement. However, they have failed and refused to abide by this policy. They also bill for meal delivery services in a way that is confusing and difficult, if not impossible to dispute. It appears they care more about their bottom line than they do about their tenants. If you care about your loved one I would advise you to proceed with great caution if you are considering Town Village, Vestavia Hills. Beware of wolves in sheep's clothing.

Patients are NOT monitored at all. 3 times in 10 days ive found the same lady sound asleep in my husbands bed and has totally soaked it with urine. This is unacceptable and I'm totally at the end of my rope!! The staff sit in the dining room all day and I'm told they don't do "room checks" (which is required with patients I'm told by the state) but they do "hall checis". Truthfully they do no checks. The rooms are rarely cleaned patients groomed. I will not stop fighting this!! This guy place would fail a state inspection. They just truly, from the "top" down do not care!! I have been constantly upset and in knots knowing his here!

And no one helped him for hours. When we finally got back to see him. I got ahold of the head nurse. And guess what she had no idea what was going on. So not even her does what she was supposed to do. I asked how would feel if this happened to your family. A lot of the patients there have no one speak up for them. ​

For lunch, I had the beef short ribs. They were very good, although I added a little bit of ground pepper just to give it more flavor. I also had two sides - heirloom, carrots, and succotash. All very good. The salad bar and soup is always included with an entrée order. Today I had the minestrone soup and a salad as well. The service in the dining room is always positive. LaTonya has been there for years in the dining room as the manager, and she is fantastic. They always take very good care of my mom.

This facility has several different levels of care from assisted living to skilled nursing home and rehabilitation care. The front desk staff was super friendly and the lobby has a grand piano and is well appointed. The residents we met seemed very happy and those with staff helping them were well cared for. While I did not turn the whole building, everything was clean. I cannot comment on nursing care since we did not witness direct care but I would look at this facility for my mother if needed.

The place was a very nice place when my mother 1st moved in but then they hired on a really poor GM…read moreto run the place and they began to have staff quitting which caused care of the residents to decline and the place just doesn't stay clean like it once did. Constant staff turnover. Kitchen is short staffed regularly too. Resident care was lacking to the point we hired in daily sitters. Then they without cause called FD to have our mother taken out of the facility without the 30-day required notice per her lease and wouldn't allow her to come back citing her level of care exceeded their capabilities. We had sitters doing what they should have been doing. If they would get rid of the GM it might return to being a good place to send loved one. Otherwise, I don't recommend it. The fire alarms go off constantly and there are regular issues with the plumbing to where is turned off for hours at a time. Her 1st couple of months there I would have rated a 5 but with this GM in charge I give it a 1 star. Save your money and look elsewhere.
