The home is set in a beautiful rural setting surrounded by farmland, yet it's close enough to town for easy access. Pastor Sinclair comes weekly to visit interested residents. The home has regularly scheduled activities including trips, social events and church services. This place is very beautiful and is a retiree's paradise. They have three places to get food, many activities and there are plenty of different apartments to choose from. The price is reasonable (a bit high but better than closer to Fairfax). The nicest thing about it is that you can go from independent care to assisted living without paying any more money (you pay for it up front and your allotted food money gets lower); allowing for a more worry-free living. If you (or someone you know) is looking for a place like this, I suggest reserving a tour for this place. You can wait list yourself many years in advance of retiring as well or becoming of age to be enrolled (you must be 64 in order to be enrolled - there trying to move it to 60 though, however). There is a grocery store close by (Martin's) as well as a Wal-Mart in which case they have shuttle service once a week.

So, I've spent a good amount of time here. I can say that it is the best place that she has lived since leaving her house. They have lots of activities and get her to her doctor appointments any day/time that she schedules them. They have good food, a pool, gym, library, theater, conference rooms, and other features that give my grandmother plenty to do. I particularly enjoy the wooded trails that surround the complex. The proximity to the hospital and numerous doctor's offices is also a big plus. Having been through a number of assisted living places in the past, I would say that this one is of very high caliber.

I came to see that from top to bottom, the staff was responsive, friendly, well trained and motivated. Their positivity builds the sense of community that is evident at Country Meadows. It is the single most important ingredient in creating the environment at Country Meadows where residents feel at home and their families feel secure with the level of attention and care that they receive. There are many lovely things about Country Meadows Frederick, but I am most appreciative of the fine people that work there.

They moved into a spacious two bedroom apartment in Independent living. My dad passed away in December 2022 and Country Meadows was able to quickly find a one bedroom apartment for my mom just down the hall from the first apartment. The staff has always been fantastic! Debbie, Emily and Carol have always been there for support and guidance for our family. There are too many staff members to mention; however, from the kitchen wait staff who deliver meals (even putting mom's ice cream in the freezer) to the director have been so good to our parents. There are many activities and trips for the residents to enjoy. My mother has many friends who come to visit her and have told mom what a nice place Country Meadows is. She loves to take them to the Bistro! Our family is so blessed to be a part of the Country Meadows community.

He immediately came outside and yelled at me telling me to move my car back a few feet cause I was in his valet section of the circle. I didn't mind moving, but his aggression and attitude really turned me off. He yelled that I needed to follow the rules like everyone else..???? Very odd aggressive behavior for a small issue. I would never recommend this place based solely on the purpose at the front of the lobby, at the door. Such a shame.

Mom utilized many of the services including: caregiving by My Potential, the rehab facility at The Woods, Physical Therapy, organized social events, clubs and interest groups, and eventually Assisted Living. Along the way, she made great friends, did many interesting things. Throughout her time at TVOR, the administrative staff helped us navigate complicated waters such as Medicare, hospital transfers, hospice and more. From the front desk to the chapel administrative staff, we got expert advice and Mom got a great quality of care. Thank you TVOR!

My 80+ loved one was in memory care at Tranquility for 4 months in 2021. I am still traumatized by…read morewhat my mom experienced there. "Tom's" review exactly expresses what I experienced at Tranquility. The cleanliness and care of the facility are excellent. My loved one was always clean too. But the patients were neglected in every other way. And the food in memory care was not good. Food seemed to be lower quality than the assisted living side. My mom declined rapidly. And the facility staff often made promises to the family that weren't kept. The physician, nursing director and facility director are colleagues who have worked together for a long time. (the big three) I felt they often played 'good cop, bad cop' with me and my family. I will give a big kudos to Nicole (? I think that was her name) , the director of the memory care unit. She genuinely cared about the residents and did the best she could with the resources that she had. However, her decision making authority was limited by the 'big three' in power. I will also give a kudos to the hairstylist and the laundry service. My loved one's clothes were always clean and fresh smelling. But, as 'Tom' stated - don't be fooled by the wonderful brochure and promises made on the tour. My mother's overall care was very poor.

My mother is in the Memory unit at Kensington Park. She's getting very good care, around the clock…read more She likes the food a lot - much more than what her in-home caregivers used to prepare. There are musical performances and other cultural and healthful activities. It's difficult for anyone to adjust to a new environment, and even more so for an elderly person with dementia. The Kensington Park staff do their best to welcome and acclimate new residents - which, with the added problem of Covid, is a challenge. They are kind and attentive, dealing with irritability and other behaviors with grace and patience. The management is very open to communication from family members and every issue is addressed. Visits from family members are easily scheduled. It's a good place.

The supervisor, Christine (I believe) is in the wrong line of work. I went to visit a lady I cared…read morefor for almost 2 years and was told evening visiting was canceled. This was a direct lie to my face. Subsequently, I spoke to my friends' daughter who told me "since her mother broke her arm, she was not participating in activities, and was too tired from too many visitors. The supervisor's recommendation was no visitors other than once a week from each daughter, as per my friend. My friend is 97 yeaars old. The elderly NEED verbal stimulation, not isolation. My friend, the elderly lady, does not like this place and has expressed it in no uncertain terms. My experience with ideas like this ends in the life of the elderly person in less than 8 weeks. My friend (the daughter) has placed her mother in a prison because caing for her mother is an inconvenience.
