The good news is I really like them and find that they are well stocked and in a very convenient location. Now,,, I am a devout purchaser of Baileys Original Irish Cream in the round brown bottle. Upon asking for it once more, they said it has been discontinued and is in the new blue bottle. Taking it home and opening it I saw that it was NOT the same. I brought it back complaining that I was misled and it was NOT the same. " You opened it,, we can't take it back" was her response. One week later going back to purchase something different I saw that,,,,, wow,, there's the Baileys on the counter you said was discontinued. I purchased it but felt slightly taken. Since then I have been to 2 different stores clearly well stocked with the Brown bottle Baileys. Now I have recourse by going back and telling them that it has not been discontinued and that I've seen it at 2 different locations. " oh no,, you're wrong , it has definitely been discontinued". So what's next for me. Now listen,, I am not an alcoholic, maybe just a small amount once a week. I don't drink alcohol otherwise as lemonade is my go to everyday. So what's next now? Quite a wide selection of wines and spirits in a small store. Good prices and a friendly staff.

My wife and I, now of 88 and 87 years of age, moved to Heritage Hills in Somers, NY, 8 years ago, to live closer to our daughter due to health issues. I am a scientist and my wife is a computer programmer. We both retired in 2001. Five years ago I was diagnosed with rare genetic decease "Huntington chorea" that affects my balance and speech, and three years ago I stopped driving. Because we both are the Holocaust survivors, the German government, through Jewish services, pays to our caretaker who also drives our car. Nobody has ever discriminated me because I am sick, and many times I patronized this wine store. However, today the selling woman, whom I had never met before, claimed that I was drunk and refused to serve me. When I explained my problem, she refused to listen and threatened to call the police if I would not immediately leave the store. So I encouraged her to call. The police arrived, and it rapidly understood how ridiculous the call was. They suggested I'll patronize other stores, and I definitely will not ever set foot to this place again. It's lovely but expensive and the clerks, who are very nice, are not knowledgeable about what they are selling.

Wonderful assistance in picking up a nice bottle of champagne for a friend for new years eve. I am not a wine connoisseur however the help and assistance I recieved in picking the best bottle for the price was terrific. I will definitely buy from Somers Wine and Spirits in future :) read more

Great experiences so far. Low-key, but always very friendly and the selection of wine - as well as liquors - isn't bad at all.

I've always had great experiences each time I've visited this store. I had gone to another liquor store in the Somers area looking to buy a nice wine for my Grandma and had a terrible experience with the man there so I found this spot instead and have been going ever since.
