It has always been very convenient with paper tickets, allowing customers to pay at a machine before leaving. Now they have switched to a Parking app with no person or machine to pay at before leaving. The problem is that most guests apparently do not complete payment before leaving the facility, and cars are stacked up on exit with drivers fumbling to pay then with credit cards. They need to distribute information on how customers can sign up for the app, and pay for parking either while at the event, or even in advance. Until they do this, it will be a nightmare. Another problem is that the elevator has been down for at least a month requiring customers to walk downstairs, leaving the facility, and upstairs upon returning at the end of the event . with a lot of older customers this is a nightmare. They need to fix both of these problems ASAP if they want to remain valuable to patrons of Symphony Hall and other nearby events such as Fenway Park

Also a great place if you are going to buy produce at the market as sellers can validate your parking. Parking prices are competitive for the area on weekends even without validation. The garage entrance is a down ramp between 180 Longwood Ave and the Warren Alpert Building. When you turn to the ramp, be sure to slow down and let the parking attendant know. It was my first time parking here and I had a one-day permit. I gave the pre-printed permit to the attendant. He gave me a temporary dashboard display ticket and another swipe card. When you go down the ramp, you make a right. Swipe the card or your HUID to enter. After I entered, there was another parking attendant directing traffic. He asked me if I wanted to park on the vehicle lift or a regular spot. I chose a regular spot. These spots are very tight and he said he could help me if needed. When I left, I actually ran into him again and he was able to direct me to the right floor. This garage can be confusing, so don't hesitate to ask for help. I was here for a HSPH event and took the elevator to go up. Then make a left to exit the building. You then make another left to enter the campus area for Public Health.
