I ended up spending close to $500 and on first appearances everything seemed fine however once I hit the highway, I found that my car vibrated quite severely. I came back to have it checked out again and now the problem is even worse. I was told that they did everything they could, and wasn't really given additional help beyond that. I am now out $500 and will have to go to the dealership to have this issue fixed. UPDATE: The tire that was supposed to be replaced was just moved to my back wheel (so they took one of my good tires and did what with it??) pictures show the tire before I brought it in and after I picked it up.

I did what I knew how to do, replaced o rings, recharged it etc, and that kept it going a little longer, but eventually it just went kaputski. Call early on a Thursday morning to say that I want to bring the car in, but need it back in time to take a road trip next week. Drop off 8am. By 9am I have a diagnosis. It's a bad diagnosis, but it's accurate - my compressor died. They get the part and have it done and ready for pickup by 12:30 the same day. Is their rate a little higher than some other shops? Sure. But you can have your choice of two of the three: cheap, fast, good. These guys are fast and good. I can't sing these folks praises enough - and as someone who loves my car, I do not trust it to many places preferring to do maintenance and simple fixes myself. Gary and his team are amazing.

My engine light came on again after I had it looked at by my mechanic. This is NOT shade against my mechanic - he warned me it would probably come back on but we need to follow the investigatory steps first. So at my brother's insistence (impatience?) I stopped to get the code read so I'd have a better idea why the light was on. I was hesitant bc women and car bros don't generally mix :sexism cough cough: but the prospect of being stopped on the highway with my son (a dog) gave me feminist courage to go in. Carlos came out, read my code, it was the evap code btw and reassured me that it's not the type of code that'll make my car cut off, it was safe to drive for a while, but would fail emissions which thankfully isn't for another 8 months. He told me to get it looked at sooner than later bc if something else goes wrong I wouldn't know since the light is already on. Good call. Carlos reiterated what my mechanic said about taking steps one by one and that the smoke test would probably be next to see where the leak is. He stressed there was no need to panic. We ended with a culturally relevant fist bump. I felt seen and respected. The next day i went back to my mechanic who kept the car, did the next steps, and then ordered my OEM parts for repair. This was a fantastic interaction. I know other reviewers haven't had positive experiences at this location and that's unfortunate. I think it's clutch (see what I did there) to know who to go to for what. Dealer will do warranty work. Mechanic will do my tires and other repairs. And Pep Boys will read my codes.
