Five stars for a really great bridal experience. I had read such great reviews of Something New and was excited to reach out to see if they would accommodate a private appointment for me. I was going to have my family go with me so I wanted to make sure we could be the only ones there and that everyone would be wearing a mask. They were so helpful and made sure I was the last appointment of the day and that it would be private. Walking up, I knew I was at the right place because the door has flowers draped all over the top and it looked like something out of a fairy tale. I was probably not the best soon to be bride in that they asked me if I brought any photos or silhouettes I liked for a dress. The truth is I had never tried on dresses like this and had absolutely no idea what I wanted and what I didn't like. Undeterred they let me to the back room and started pulling dresses. At the same time they made sure my family was very comfortable. They had their own bubbly for my family but I brought a special bottle for the fam. After trying on a couple dresses it was clear that they knew what they were doing. Each gown was better than the last because they were really listening to my feedback. In the end I found the perfect dress and not only did they have me try it on with a sample bouquet and a beautiful veil but they also gave me the option to purchase the sample right then and there. They do an AMAZING job of making you feel truly welcomed and beautiful on your day. They make your visit completely private with the whole store being catered to your group and will have 1-2 ladies help you try on dresses and bring options depending on what information you provide. They have treats and waters for your guests while you change and a private room in the back where you try on all your dresses as well as a silk robe to use in between. They're dresses are in the higher range I believe $1800+ but they truly are gorgeous. Some dresses you're able to find more affordable from other boutiques out of state for example but they're customer service truly is phenomenal. I came here straight off my flight from the D.C. area. While waiting at baggage claim, I received a text saying I could come in earlier, I was frustrated about my baggage being lost so I didn't reply via text, I called. I said I couldn't come in earlier because of the flight... FAST FORWARD. My mom and I arrive right on time but they're running about 15mins behind, so the owner says we can go to the coffee shop next door and order something compliments of them. By the time we went back to the shop, we had the entire place to ourself. It's a small boutique with A LOT of designer dresses. The changing room was gorgeous and girly complete with a furry bench, champagne, bride robe, and mirrors galore. My mom's waiting area was equally gorgeous with champagne, snacks, and plush oversized chairs (2). Everyone working in the shop assisted me and they appeared to have a lot of fun competing with each to find THE dress for me. They stuck with my budget and didn't try to force my hand. Shopping there is what every Bridal salon should feel like and how every bride should be treated. What an exceptional experience at this beautiful boutique! I made an appointment and brought two friends along, we had the entire shop to ourselves with two wonderful consultants to help me in trying on dresses. I let them know from the start that my goal was to stay at $1,000 or under which I knew would not be easy! They took so much care in making sure we felt comfortable, were very honest in answering any questions, and even memorized each of our names! Every dress they picked out was beautiful and very flattering for my shape (size 12 with large bust) and I ended up finding my dream dress ! It has a broken zipper and a few beads that need fixing but they gave me a fantastic "off the rack" price and allowed me to stay well within budget though it will need some alterations. They were even patient with me when taking a moment to facetime my mom to see my dress since she wasn't able to attend due to covid which made it a very special moment. At the end they provided a champagne toast for saying yes to the dress! We have had a very mixed experience here. We had an amazing experience with our bride looking at her dress. The staff took excellent care of us and made it a magical day. They even offered a deal if we bought our four bridesmaids dresses there as well, and assisted us in measuring us and finding bridesmaids dresses that day. The bride's dress came in with no issues. The bridesmaids dresses are a different story. A few weeks later, our bride notices that the boutique has ordered the wrong bridesmaid dresses (the code was different than what we had ordered), and they argued with her until they admitted their mistake when she physically went to their building instead of just calling. The bridesmaids dresses arrive. All dresses are two sizes bigger than the measurements we gave them. Every bridesmaid is swimming in it. We took the dresses to several alterations places for a quote, all of which cost more than the actual dresses. We were advised to take the dresses back and ask for new sizes (not a free dress..just the correct sizes with the measurements they took of us). Calling the boutique resulted in being told they would do nothing for us, and that it's "only our fault if the dresses ordered don't zip up", implying dresses that are way too big aren't their problem. Eventually they called back and offered us $50 each for alterations, though each dress cost about $100 to alter. Picking up the money, we were treated so nicely with no issues. It's odd that they're so unprofessional over the phone, but amazing in person. Overall, it was a confusing experience getting treated so wonderfully in person and then so terribly over the phone. We left feeling a bit better, but will not be returning. read more

This boutique is amazing! I could not recommend this place enough for brides and their guests. Upon our arrival I told the staff how I was feeling about previous dresses I was trying on my "vision." They allow only one bridal party at a time for a truly intimate setting. I didn't have to comb through the racks to find what I liked, they simply brought in dresses with an attention to detail as to what I described upon arrival. 1 star is too much. They will schmooze you for sure. Don't let the cute boutique and champagne trick you. I said "yes" to a dress I didn't like at all. Less than 1 business day later I called and explained what happened and they showed no empathy. They said that what's done is done and I could get no money back and the dress would still be ordered. I even asked if I could come back in and try on other dresses and use my deposit towards another dress and they said no. Absolutely heart wrenching to be so devastated and have a company not give a crap at all. I have to buy a completely new dress and am spending double the amount of money that we originally hoped to spend. For any brides trying to pay for their own wedding you understand what I'm saying. Granted it was my fault for saying yes to a dress I didn't like but sometimes when you get caught up in a moment and you feel pressured to get something these things happen.
