One of my favorite vintage shops anywhere. I go there ever time I am in Outer Banks. Can even sometimes find designer pieces.

Definitely a lot of clothes for older women with some for younger (teens to 40s) mixed in. There were a lot of really outdated dresses. If you are looking for decades old styles this might be the place for you. There was a very unique selection of jewelry. The owner was very nice and helpful. Every time I come to OBX I make it a MUST to stop at this spot. I love how unique all of the offerings are and the owners are really friendly and helpful. The store is literally overflowing with the most memorable vintage shoes, bags, dresses and jewelry. OMG so much jewelry! Usually when I come in I head straight for the handbags and then the earrings. I love grabbing a few "new" pieces. The prices here aren't super cheap-- but are definitely fair. Just don't expect $5 and below. Think more, mid range as far as prices go (bags for $30-$80, dresses for $20-$50, earrings for $8-$15). read more

Incredible place!! Bought my boyfriend and I some new rings on our first trip there.. tried to go back a second time to buy some Christmas gifts for my friends but unfortunately she was closed due to a death in the family.. just means i might have to make another trip down here before Christmas! I keep trying to send this without giving a single star because this store is that bad, so I will just have to give it 1 star. The store is in complete disarray and cluttered with overprice clothes. Of the mess of clothes, I found one nice fur coat and got yelled at for trying it on. It wasn't just me though because the worker was also rudely telling children to not touch anything. So do not go in the store if you need to try on clothes before you buy them. I do not know what was nastier the inside of the store or the customer service. I'm from California visiting the area. I have been to my fair share of these same shops...this one by far is one of the best vintage stores I have been to! The customer service was amazing and they had an endless supply of unique, fun, inspiring choices to pick from. My boyfriend and I spent over an hour shopping and loved every minute of it. I had such an amazing experience in this store! I was out shopping for a wedding dress the day before the ceremony because it was a spur of the moment idea to get married at the beach and by the time I got to this store I felt completely defeated because I had been shopping all day and could not find anything to wear at any of the stores I had been to. I was in panic mode and in a terrible mood. The actual wedding boutique had a terrible selection. My fiancée suggested this store and truthfully I was annoyed by it because I just wanted to go home and didn't think it would have what I needed since I originally thought it was just a general thrift store. When I walked in and saw that the dress selection was huge I started to feel like I might be able to find something. I had many options to choose from and ended up finding a dress. It was truly perfect for a beach ceremony. I also picked out another casual dress, a necklace, and earrings. The owner read our total to us and my mother and I were blown away because I hadn't even checked how much the dress was but it ended up being cheaper than the cost of my flower bouquet! I believe it was $80 for all of that. This store saved me. I would have ended up looking terrible on my wedding day if my fiancée and mother didn't force me to come in that day. The owner was extremely helpful and did everything she could to make sure I found what I needed. I couldn't thank her enough and will always be grateful. Please don't overlook this place because you will regret it!!! read more

Hands down the best Vintage Store I have ever been in to. I have shopped in established stores and hunted for Vintage myself in Thrift stores looking for treasures. This place beats the pants off of them, Richmond stores can't even compare to this one. Don't get me wrong, the stores I have been to are great, and beautiful items and decent selection. I have to say that this place is just above and beyond with oodles of inventory. From gowns, to casual, to menswear to, accessories to shoes. This place is chocked full! I'm pretty sure I could shop in here for hours till they kick me out. Prices are fair for vintage and the items are in great shape. The owners are very kind and very knowledgeable. They even have an amazing Delorian parked outside! I will be coming back every time I'm visiting! Seriously, you won't regret coming here! An interesting mix of new and vintage clothing. Owner was very welcoming. One side of the store comprises of new, reasonably priced, trendy clothing. I bought a dress for $28. In the middle of the store there's tons of jewelry, mostly vintage. Lots of brooches, necklaces, bracelets, rings and sunglasses. The other side of the store is where the vintage is kept. There's a formal section in the back. They also have a decent sized men's section. The dressing rooms could be improved. The curtains were torn and a little shabby. Overall Something Old Something New is a fun place to check out if you're in Kill Devil Hills. read more

I love vintage clothing and accessories and this is one of the best vintage stores I have ever been in. Warning if your clestrophobic this may not be your cup of tea as its pretty cramped. But the selection is amazing and the new items they carry are very reasonably priced. The owners were super cool, a little eccentric but great style.
