Breathtaking does not even begin to describe the amazing work that Roxy and her team did. It's been over a week since my wedding and I keep looking back at everything she did, starting from her day 1 thoughtful planning all the way through the final day of. Every step of the way she was communicative, sincere, and her attention to detail was second-to-none. Where do I even begin? Well, at the beginning I suppose! I had reviewed Roxy's work on The Knot and was already impressed. After reaching out, she provided me with a fast response so we could schedule a zoom call to walk through the process. Immediately on the call, Roxy put me first, emphasizing that it was my day, and her goal to make that vision a reality. She hung on my every word, and even when I couldn't verbalize everything I was looking for, she was able to make suggestions and bridge the gap. I logged onto that call thinking I had an idea of what I wanted the flowers to look like at my dream wedding - I logged off of it knowing for a fact that I was going to get it. As the day approached, Roxy was never intrusive, but always available and providing regular updates. She provided us with a brief and inspirations on what vibe they were cultivating, how the designs we had picked out would interplay with the rest of the venue - I'm not exaggerating when I say Roxy's willingness to work with me was pivotal to determining the aesthetic of the rest of the wedding. Wedding planning is always stressful, but with Roxy, the flowers were the one thing I wasn't stressed about! Whenever I did hear from her, it was always good news, or little teasers of the amazing work that was to come. She was forthright and willing to work with my schedule to come and see the venue so she could plan accordingly. And then the day of - wow, wow, WOW! Blown away does not even begin to describe it. Roxy and her team arrived early and had everything set up well before anyone else arrived. If I could do anything different about my wedding, I would have gotten there an hour earlier just to take it all in. To anyone reading this, I cannot recommend Roxy enough. You owe it to yourself to work with someone who wants your big day to be a success, who will help you achieve your vision, and who will provide you a stress-free zone as you work through the craziness of wedding planning. If you want the magical wedding - you want Roxy. Plain. And. Simple. P.S. It's not just her amazing work, but also the little things. Roxy, my dear, you truly are one stunning human being. I came across Roxy's shop when looking for a bakery for my wedding. Little did I know that she was more than a baker, as I continued to read reviews and look through her instagram; I just knew I had to hire her! She is a hard working woman, so be patient if she doesn't respond within minutes, but she will get to you. She is patient beyond belief, I would make changes left and right and every single time she said yes & helped modify my thoughts so she could execute them. If I must say, I believe each bride is different and very particular about certain details of their wedding day - mine is flowers. I'm a flower enthusiast and have taken many floral arrangement classes over the years. I sent Roxy some inspo pics and gave her full reign of the design of my centerpieces and bouquets. Some people question this method but I fully trusted Roxy in her judgement and expertise. She did not disappoint! A very much late but well deserved review! I recently got married in October. I contacted Roxy about a year before my wedding. She was very attentive to all my floral requests and was super helpful in understanding exactly what I wanted as far as color pallet went. I was nervous about the outcome of what it would all look like but OH EM GEE- everyone complimented on my extravagant floral crown and my cake whom everyone thought was fake! That is how gorgeous it was! IT was a little pricey but worth every penny. Found this bakery on Yelp... Called Roxy last week and left her a voicemail... She contacted me via text message within minutes of my message. Though I've never tasted her cakes, I went ahead and placed an order for a two tier cake and 4 dozen cupcakes anyway. Roxy and I met today... I brought my son with me. She was very personable and professional. We ironed out the details of the cake. She even brought some samples for my son and I to try... The banana and red velvet are SOOOO DELICIOUS!! I found Roxy on IG one night when shopping around for desserts for my 30th birthday party. I was sort of lost with a theme or direction for the party besides the fact that I wanted it to be fabulous. Roxy soon responded to my inquiry and we spoke on the phone about what I was looking for. I was all over the place with my ideas and vision but she reeled me back in and helped organize my thoughts. She helped me realized I was leaning towards a Kate Spade theme, the rest was history. And after yelping excessively, I came across Something Sweet & Lovely. I contacted Roxy, and she was very friendly and also helped me narrow down my choice of flavors for the cake. I explained to her my theme was cherry blossoms and I wanted a pink and grey color scheme. We met a couple of days later and she already had a cake sketched out for me. And I was truly blown away. I find it intolerable that a business will go to lengths to fabricate the truth. 1. This review was strictly expressing my discontent in how unprofessional the owner, Roxy, was due to being unorganized (couldn't get my name or appointment dates/time correct after three weeks and it was not about her talent/products). And now, this review will reveal how she has lied in her comment. 2. Roxy quotes, "...dates I suggested and you selected the meeting date/time." LIE, this is from her text message to me, "I have another appointment that day at 10am and yours is 11am". Roxy gave me the appointment, I did not have the option to choose. Again, in all of our text exchanges, not once she asked me about my schedule and I was to accommodate to her, leading me to believe she has bad customer service skills. 3. Roxy did not want to communicate via email, everything was through text. Yes, I agreed to the meeting but was unable to confirm a time until 9:35pm on 4/15, the night before! The ridiculous part is that Roxy did not follow up with me once, not once. She only replied within the hour of my Yelp review when I decided not to move forward with the meeting. The funny part is that she still didn't have it together by this time. She confused me further by lying with this text, "I was able to get all my appointments switched for ya. Took a while to hear back from everyone, but all is good...." LIE, the original appt she GAVE me was 11am and now she had to get all her appointments switched to 11am. WHAT?...When I pointed her lie to her, she admitted she confused me and laughed it off. 4. Of course I did not want to hear from Roxy anymore because I don't care for her lies and it's upsetting that I have wasted so much time on this. Again, this review is strictly based on experience with Roxy in the way beginning stages of planning. This does not reflect on her talent/product, but only her POOR service. Clearly, I was not treated like her other clients. Trust me, it'll get annoying when someone you want to hire for a special event keeps forgetting your name or appointment, and only cares about her own busy schedule. It simply got painful to having to waste time on her "technical issues" (changing phone and not updating your messages with your clients is called a "technical issue"??? Anyway, Roxy is the worst business "professional" I have personally ever had to deal with. Roxy is a joke and it makes me wonder if she's even a legit person. I reached out to her looking to get arrangements done and apparently the address on her Yelp and Instagram isn't even her real location. For a consult I would have to drive to her in Claremont or I would have to pay her a $75 convenience fee... right off the bat, red flag. I also thought it's weird that she doesn't answer her phone but will text you back right away even if you just called. Is she hiding from someone??? I got busy I forgot to get back to her for about a week after we were texting back and forth. She texted me back saying that she does inquired over email not text. If that's true then why were we able to talk over text before?! She also claimed she deleted my messages and she didn't "remember talking to me" yet she knew my name... seems kinda suspious to me. After talking to her over e-mail, I asked to meet in person and she would make excuses not to meet.... if I'm giving you a deposit and paying for your service I would feel more comfortable actually meeting the person yet she kept making excuses with me. I had tried Roxy's baking before and had always been impressed, but when I asked her for chocolate covered strawberries for Valentine's Day, I was blown away. The strawberries were huge and delicious. The chocolate, some covered with gold, were delicious. What put it over the top was the presentation. Roxy delivered the heart shaped box, tied with a nice ribbon directly to me at my house. When my girlfriend opened the box, the strawberries looked PERFECT!
