I found a new addition to our household on Craigslist, and boy is she sweet! Willow Von Rothundkeltz- strong name, don't you think? ;) Well, when she came to me, she came with fleas and an uneven coat (along with a few other surprises, but I digress). I immediately took her to the vet to get necessary meds/vacs and then went straight to good ol' Yelp to find a groomer who could give her a shampoo and cut with flea/tick shampoo. When I called STBA, they were friendly and very accommodating. It was Friday and they got me in for a 9am appointment. It's to be noted Saturday is a short day for them, open only 9am to 12pm, so I was thrilled. The shop was easy to find with their own private lot. When I took Willow in they were very gentle with her. I told them I just wanted to have a flea bath, but asked to make sure they condition after because it dries the skin and they assured me they did. From there I left the trim up to them and just asked if they could put a bandanna on, which they happily agreed to. Around 12 we received a call and went to pick up our girl. She was so soft and fluffy, and her coat was evened out. Claws were also trimmed and the bandanna was SO CUTE. Overall, it was a great experience with Something to Bark About, and it came to about $60 for a 50lb doggy, which I though was very reasonable. :)

Grooming of my pet is OK but the amount of time spent is NOT. Took over 6.5 hours to groom her and she weighs only 10 pounds. Staff is impossible to get in touch with over the phone. You must text only and then there is no guarantee that you will get a response within 24 hours. Had to drive down there several times just to make an appointment. Owner is unfriendly as well. Not recommended. read more

THIS PLACE IS GREAT! They love the dogs and they love to do a wonderful job...what more could you ask for? Brought my fur baby in for a summer/puppy cut and he emerged from his giant coat of hair to be a sleek, smooth, velvety-coated pup. He looks and acts younger and I know he's more comfortable. I waited to post this review until his hair grew back a bit, because we all know the real sign of a great haircut is when it looks even better as it grows back....and he looks just as good today as he did over a month ago! A friend and neighbor recommended Addie & co. and I couldn't be more grateful for the recommendation. We will be back!!! read more

Today was the third time I've brought my pup, Kylie, in for a bath and nail trimming. We are always treated so well by everyone there, and they do a great job with taking care of my girl. I called this afternoon hoping to be squeezed in and they were very accommodating. We appreciate you guys! read more

Peanut and I have been so blessed to have discovered these wonderful, kind and caring animal lovers. I know my little furry 11 year old baby is getting the best care when he is at the doggie spa. They bring him out as if he were a fine piece of china. They are very flexible with appointments and I don't HAVE to leave him there for 8+ hrs. as I always had to do with previous groomers. My little rescued Chihuahua has been such a fearful little guy but not so when he is chillin' with his favorite ladies (other than his mom that is.) read more

Very kind and friendly staff. Easy to get appt when we need one. Our Westie always comes out looking handsome. Since we live rather far away, we also appreciate that they groom him right away while we run errands and then call us in a timely fashion to pick him up. read more

What an adorable store! Has lots of cool things for your dog. We had our dog groomed here and I did not think she could look that good. Great job! Staff is knowledgable and very helpful. We bought Sophie some yummy dog cookies from the bakery and she loved them. We also bought her a new harness and a t-shirt. We will be back! read more

Pampering for the Pooches Doesn't Get Any Better Than Something to Bark About - Sue the owner and her staff are just wonderful in every way. I have been taking my Pekingese there for years and am so happy with their service. My dogs go in happy (but in need of a bath and haircut) and come out happy -not stressed, not anxious - just beautiful and clean and very happy in their disposition. They do such a great job on the different coats of the dogs - they send them home feeling soft as velvet and smelling so good. The girls know they look good and are prancing out the door. Their prices are very good and the service is EXCELLENT. read more

And then when I looked at him closely I found two places that looked like he had been cut and had bled when I specifically had it put on his record that he was not to be shaved. Pekingese are only supposed to be scissor-cut. Then I got angry because I realized he'd been hurt and was scared, and that was the reason for the excessive urination and shaking. I blame myself for not reminding them, but it doesn't matter now. I know that no one has staff anymore, but this was handled so very poorly.

Back in November we brought our sweet boy Benjamin in after he stopped eating and started acting…read moreabnormal. we found out He had lymes disease and everyday for 3 weeks we dropped him off get fluids and meds. they took great care of our boy and i could tell they were trying their hardest to keep him alive. he ended up needed a blood transfusion, not one but possibly more and it was 50/50 if it was going to help (blood transfusions are 7000$) after spending over 3000$ running tests, fluids and meds. he wasnt getting any better just staying stable. unfortunately after a month of trying we had to put our baby boy to rest which was the hardest decision i have ever made in my entire life. he wasnt getting any only 5 yrs old. the first pet i bought w my own money and raised and fed. he wasnt just a dog he was my literal son. Dr paul and the girls there were nothing short or amazing and kind and caring. Thank you guys for pouring your love into him. he will be forever missed

The reason I am giving them a 1 star rating is because their pricing has become simply outrageous. I recently asked for a quote to do a dental for one of my dogs and the quote was over $1000 and any extractions would be additional. I felt this was outrageous and was given some advice to call the Animal Hospital of Marion where I got a worse case scenario quote of $518. I took my dog for an initial exam that cost me $38 and returned a few days later so he could have his dental. He is an older dog and had (3) difficult extractions. The total for his dental was $360!!!! That's right! $360.00. This included an ECG, bloodwork, (3) difficult extractions, dental, pain shot, antibiotics and pain meds. Animal Hospital South was going to charge me $330 for the bloodwork alone! Going to the Animal Hospital of Marion saved me over $700!!! Animal Hospital South should be ashamed of themselves for charging outrageous pricing such as this. Every pet owner wants to take care of their pets but when vets charge insane prices it makes it unattainable for most - this is GREED at it's absolute worst!

I'm incredibly grateful for the care my cat received at SAVES…read more I brought my cat from another emergency practice in Tennessee that was closing overnight, as I felt he needed monitoring at a 24-hour hospital due to a urinary obstruction. I called ahead, confirmed that his records had been sent, and when I arrived, they were already expecting us. I spoke with the doctor right away (Dr. Wedig), who clearly explained the treatment options and the need for hospitalization and extended catheter placement. I was extremely distraught at the time, and the entire team met that energy with compassion and calm reassurance. I also shared my concern about avoiding opioid sedatives due to a suspected link to the obstruction, and they were very open and respectful of that discussion. During his two-and-a-half-day hospitalization, I received daily calls from the doctor. When I called for updates myself, I was always able to get timely and helpful information. My cat was released promptly once appropriate, and I'm deeply thankful for the care that helped him recover. I hope I won't need emergency care again, but if I do, I would not hesitate to return here.

DO NOT TAKE YOUR PET TO SAVES ER!!…read more I was told by my vet to go there because they are 24/7 and have a neurology department that could perform an MRI. When I arrived I told the intake desk we needed to see a neurologist. The intake person literally wrote some notes on their hand and took my dog through a door and told me wait in the lobby. After 2 hours of no communication, I was moved to a room where a Dr. was supposed to come and tell me what was going on. After 45 minutes of waiting for the doctor, to come talk to me I went back to the front desk to ask what was happening. After another 45 minutes they put me back in the office and a Dr. finally showed up only to tell me that the neurology department is not 24/7, and that there were no neurologists on sight and that we would not be able to get an MRI, and that neither the front desk staff nor the ER Doctors could set up an appointment for my dog to see a neurologist or get an MRI the next day; They told me I could have my dog spend the night there for $1000 and MAYBE we could see a neurologist the next day and maybe get an MRI but they couldn't guarantee it. I TOLD THE INTAKE DESK WHEN I ARRIVED that the dog's issue was neurological. After 4 hours of zero care, the dr. told me there was nothing they could. The ER Dr. told me there is something wrong with his larnyx and that was contributing somehow to his hind leg problem. They provided no resources for how to care for a dog whose hind legs were no longer working and actually claimed that he WAS able to walk even though every time he walked a few inches he collapsed to the ground.. and that there is no treatment for his issue. Bottom line, he arrived unable to walk and left unable to walk. His hind legs are no longer functioning, and I had to take him back home. DO NOT take your pet to this ER! Truly horrible and traumatic experience all the way around.
