Went there for brunch and the staff were friendly and the food was good. Service was a little on the slow side but all in all it was still a great experience. While there we found out that they offer interactive cooking demonstrations. We ended up doing a class a few weeks later. The chef, staff and other guests made it a fun experience. read more

1st this is very misleading. It said cooking class, it was not at all. They seat you and bring food and drinks to you. The food was extremely bland. The grouper look like boiled chicken and had 0 flavor it's very expensive and not worth the money if I'm being honest. This was not worth $200 bucks with tip for two people. First of all, this place is adorable. It is a small shop with a tiny restaurant area. You can sit inside near the food goodies they sell and see the kitchen where they conduct cooking classes or you can see outside on the side covered porch. We sat outside and were surprised at how comfortable it was. There are ceiling fans and lots of greenery making it not feel hot or heavy like it did walking from through the parking lot. They seem to specialize in sandwiches. The food prices are a little high and the portion sizes are a little small, but it was all tasty and well crafted. You can substitute gluten free chia millet bread for any bread without an upcharge. I really enjoyed the texture of the millet bread. It was not gritty or dense like some gluten free breads can be. It was soft and flavorful. A couple people in my party were curious about it, so I cut off a little bit to share and they were surprised that it tasted like regular bread. The restaurant make a variety of breads in house but their gluten free bread is purchased. Those who are sensitive to gluten will be happy to learn that they use a dedicated area to prepare all of the gluten free meals. I have celiac and a wheat allergy and suffered no ill effects from eating there. Most of the soups are gluten free, as well, but you have to ask the server which ones are as their soups change and are not listed as GF on the menu. Some, like the French onion soup, are gluten free as long as you don't put the crostini on top. It is really rare for a restaurant to have soup that is gluten free, so I happily slurped up a tiny bowl of French onion soup. Be aware that the soups are really more appetizer sizes, so you'll need to order something else, too. When you finish eating, make sure to stroll around the shop to see foods from around the world. They also have specialty cheeses and cute wine items. read more

Went to their recent date night and the food was the best...black grouper cooked to perfection and the scalloped potatoes were the best I ever had. I think everyone enjoyed themselves and enjoyed the food. The chefs did a great job!! Can't wait go back. Good job Something's Cooking Downtown!!! Would not recommend this place. First went with some friends to lunch at this restaurant, found that the it was overpriced for lunch for the amount of food you received, the real problem was searching for a specific cheese , which they advertised that they had a selection, called to see if they had Stilton, a blue cheese, I talked with an older lady and she said they had the cheese and it was 28 dollars a pound. Drove to the place and they did not have it! They had a cheddar stuffed with a layer of the Stilton. Her husband came out to say they have a hard time getting that cheese. My friend bought some Maytag cheese which was way overpriced and was to the end of the expiration date. Felt like it was not honest of her to say they had plenty and then tried to sell something else to my friend. I will not be returning to this establishment again. read more

I have recently been told to eat gluten free due to medical issues. We're on vacation and love to eat out, which isn't easy when you can't have so many foods. I found this adorable place through an app and we just loved it. Quaint and cozy, with seating in the little dining room for about 35 people. There is also an outdoor porch but I didn't look at it. You walk through a little gift shop, then a kitchen with a gourmet shop, and into the back room which has the restaurant area, with a large variety of kitchen gadgets on the walls, plus wines and prepared foods for purchase. The staff is extremely helpful and friendly. All sandwiches can be made with gluten free bread. They also serve wine and beer. Such a wonderful experience. read more

My boyfriend and I went to the Jamaican cooking "class" on February 26th, 2022. For starters it was underwhelming for the cost of the class. This is advertised as a cooking class. In addition, one would assume you would be following along with the cooking while cooking your own meal. The better description of this would be a cooking demonstration. We thought we would be able to cook with the structure and cook during a class. We did not. Everyone was very nice, but this is not as advertised. The $40 per person was steep since it only included a small tasting plate. I would not recommend cooking classes from something cooking as they are overpriced for the demonstration and small tasting plate. I will recommend the chef who put on the demonstration. It was her first time and the owners of something cooking did not properly give her enough instruction on what to prepare. She was extremely engaging, and I would recommend anyone in the Panama City area order catering offer her. In addition, she will be opening a food truck. Please go and support 876bellyfull. Feels like Julia Child's kitchen, dining in a cook store among wine shelves. There's fresh loaves of bread to buy and a freezer of prepared entrees to take with you. A sort of deli. Of the 3 soup specials I chose a fresh squash cup of soup. It was worthy of Julia. For my entree I had the special crab quiche, a difficult decision given the menu offerings. It's unusual to see it. I can't believe no one has reviewed this place. It's a cute bistro-style cafe that also offers cooking classes and has a store with cooking tools, gourmet ingredients, and wine. The food is great. Their soups are fantastic and I'm a big fan of both the shiitake mushroom pizza and the pizza with goat cheese & sun dried tomato. I also love their bistro garden salad that comes with fresh fruit and blue cheese. Mmmm...this makes me want to go there.
