So many new restaurants/shops in this area - I was quite surprised. This is the largest Somisomi location I've frequented! It's super spacious and even has indoor seating, which I haven't seen at any other location (and I've prob been to 5+ locations). Staff was quick and friendly. I finally got to try the matcha/milk tea swirl! I think that's my favorite swirl to date. I tried their ahboong and didn't taste super fresh bc it was prob sitting out for a minute. So come when there's a crowd to guarantee a fresh one!

We had a nice experience here. The desserts are very unique, and costly comparing to others. Regardless, they were tasty. Oh, their in-house cold brew coffee was delish!

Why 4 stars? Because this is another great option for a bit of a different treat. --- --- --- If I see something ube on a menu, it's going to be hard for me to not order it. I saw it as an option and went right for it: An ahboong (fish-looking cone) with ube, custard filling and biscoff toppings. I enjoyed the ube, but really loved the custard part. And I similarly enjoyed stealing some of my son's peach soft serve too. I'd happily go back again and try some other flavors, and I'm sure I'll end up here when I'm craving something sweet (always) in the area (often).

Somisomi has finally opened up in a quaint plaza with some neighboring asian businesses. Is an asian-owned plaza finally coming to North Houston?? Only time will tell, but this make a great addition to what's already availble. This is soft serve taken to the next level. You can get it in a cup, in an ah boog: a fish shaped waffle cone, or in a taiyaki: a fish-shaped waffle filled with soft serve. If you have not tried it... IT IS A MUST. Do not be intimidated, let the workers walk you through the concept and the different flavors. They were super friendly and were super helpful in helping me pick something. I typically don't like overly sweet desserts, so the Milk Tea + Cookies and Cream combo was a great option. When I went to the counter to pick up my order, I was pleasantly surprised to have this relevation: the toppings are FREE. If it's for free it's for me, so I helped myself to the Match powder and a strawberry, but they also have plenty of other options. There's seating inside and out. Love that the space was open and bright. Highly, highly reccomend.

My aunt wanted to go to Somi Somi after lunch at their Shenandoah location. They had a new summer peach flavor and we decided to get the swirl flavor with milk in the upside down ahboong style. We got the black sesame filling for the taiyaki and she topped it with coconut flakes. The peach was really refreshing, but I thought its flavor was too light. The milk flavor was just plain ice cream. The coconut flakes added some crunchy texture to it. I didn't try the taiyaki. Overall just an average flavor for me, I just wanted to try peach since I haven't had it before

They finally have Green tea! I ordered the swirl of green tea and milk tea with the upside down fish shaped pastry and everything was fab. The pastry was warm, crispy on the outside and soft on the inside. The ice cream was not overtly sweet like all Asian desserts and the texture was smooth. We also tried the custard and both desserts definitely hit the spot.

I always go to the Somi Somi in Carrolton, and so when I heard a new one opened up minutes away from my parents, we were so eager to try!!! They had unique seating, and despite it being super busy, we were still able to find a spot to sit for our group of 8! One thing that I appreciate about Somisomi is that they rotate their ice cream flavors ever so often so it really is like playing a game and showing up to see what flavors they have! A lot of us opted for the Matcha, which had the perfect amount of Matcha taste to it, but I personally really love the Oreo and Thai tea flavor! There's different ways that you can enjoy your ice cream, but I went for the most iconic way, which was the ice cream with a waffle fish at the very top filled with Nutella. I also wanted to get something for my parents who aren't a huge fan of ice cream and so I got a box of waffle fish that were filled with a variety of flavors like red bean, custard, and Nutella. When they finish adding the ice cream swirl to your cup, they always will call you up to ask if you would like to add any toppings, such as sprinkles, and if you'd like to top it off with a strawberry or a macaron! I love that you can choose a variety of toppings and that you don't have to just pick one! If you've never had Korean style ice cream, you will love it because it's so creamy and not too rich!!! Overall, what a great sweet treat on a Friday afternoon!!!

Milk tea with Nutella Takayuki is the best!

We are thrilled Somi Somi opened a location closer to home. So clean, so fast, so delicious! The people are so friendly, good service!

Thank the soft serve universe for making a Somisomi in The Woodlands! I first had Somisomi in California & it was good then like it's good now. Highly recommend getting the ube & dulce de leche swirl with red bean filling then matcha powder topping and a macaron. So yummy! Honestly, any flavor soft serve you choose or filling you can't go wrong. The taiyaki is always made fresh and it comes crunchy on the outside, sweet and soft on the inside. The employees have been all very nice and accommodating especially the order taker. She has patience! Also love that they have a couple tables outside to sit down.

I've been waiting for YEARS!!! for Somi Somi to come to The Woodlands. We go to the Katy location and love it. The space here is nice, and there's plenty of places to sit. The service is quick and the waffles and ice cream are delicious.

I was excited to hear that there would be a Somisomi up in north Houston, and even more thrilled to see it was in the same complex as a bunch of other personal favorites like Kyuramen. They're having an opening weekend special offering a free staff-choice filled taiyaki with purchase of an ahboong (froyo in a fish shaped shell or in a cup). I got a cookies and cream + ube swirl in a shell with Nutella spread, topped with cocoa pebbles (for no extra charge!). My randomized taiyaki was interesting- I've never had a mint oreo filled taiyaki before at any of the other locations. Happy to have this close by!

I don't come often because parking is always a nightmare, and tonight was no exception. When I showed them the app, the staff seemed confused on how to do a redemption. So they had to call the owner for help. The owner apparently told them not to honor the redemption because they were in the process of switching rewards program platforms, and what used to be a 50‑point reward was going to be a 300‑point reward. The staff said my points would transfer eventually, but I only will have 63 -- not enough under the new system. Hey, I'm no entrepreneur. But I am a customer who eats out all the time. And to me this is a textbook example of an owner who doesn't get customer service. I drove all the way there, dealt with the parking, and came specifically to redeem a reward that still showed as valid in their app. It's not my fault their system hadn't switched over yet. These cakeball and truffle treats are only the size of a donut hole. It's not one of their higher end desserts. The obvious right move would've been to honor the reward and give the customer the treat. But nope. They chose the stingy route instead. And with that one decision, they lost another customer. Congrats and enjoy your cakeballs.

Loved how it is served at lower gelato type temperatures. The flavors intense but not overly sweet. However the texture was quite gimmy/elastic- some kind of additive???? Lots of seating inside. Kinda wide open. Very bright. Not much decorations you find in typical shoe string start up Asian family establishments. They had wooden block games (tic tack toe) on tables for kids. I guess I was expecting more. Especially it was a late Friday afternoon. Figure they would have all flavors in preparation for weekend???? I hope they survive and make it. The selection of pies is incredible. Honestly, I can't think of anywhere in the Dallas area that offers this kind of variety. If you're a pie lover, this place feels like paradise. The highlight of our visit was the Strawberry Rhubarb Pie. In all my years living in Texas, I don't think I've ever seen strawberry rhubarb pie offered at a restaurant. It was absolutely amazing, especially when paired with a scoop of ice cream. We also tried the Chocolate Cream Pie, French Black Bottom Pie, and Coconut Cream Pie, and every single one was excellent. Each pie had a fresh, homemade quality that made it easy to see why this place has such a loyal following. The food was fresh, hot, and served promptly. Beyond the food, the customer service was outstanding. The staff was attentive, friendly, polite, and genuinely seemed to care about providing a great experience. It's becoming increasingly rare to find that level of service, and it made a positive impression on us. The overall experience reminded me of Marie Callender's, but with better food and a much larger personality. There's a nostalgic charm to House of Pies that makes you want to stay a little longer and save room for another slice. The only thing preventing me from giving a full five-star review is the non-transparent service fee. I would much rather see menu prices increased by 2-3% and have the fee eliminated altogether. The final cost would be the same, but the pricing would feel more straightforward and customer-friendly. That minor criticism aside, House of Pies was one of the highlights of our trip to Houston. I'll definitely be back to try more of the menu and, of course, more pie.
